Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing also agreed with Liu Mubai’s opinion. After all, if they were to go and fight that monk head-on, it would definitely be asking for trouble. It’s better to watch quietly and wait for an opportunity.

Moreover, since the monk injured Helian Qingfeng and Nalan Tianyu, Ye Qing wouldn’t need to take action. Helian Tiehua and Prince Nalan wouldn’t let him off easily.

After settling Liu Mubai, Ye Qing first headed to the hospital as Huangfu Ziyu was still there. However, when he arrived, Huangfu Ziyu’s condition was almost recovered, and she was sitting in the ward resting.

Su Kaicheng’s sister, Su Kaixin, also underwent another check-up by the doctors, confirming that her body had returned to normal. Now, she just needs a period of recuperation. Because of this incident, the Su Family is extremely grateful to Ye Qing, allowing him free access to the place where Su Kaixin is hospitalized.

Those who can enter this hospital are considered high-ranking officials in the Capital. Without the Su Family’s authorization, it wouldn’t be easy for Ye Qing to get in. Thus, it’s absolutely safe here, with an entire army stationed nearby to ensure tight security. Even a top-level master like the monk couldn’t hope to enter the hospital.

Su Kaicheng’s father had long been absent from here as he is very busy. Upon learning that his daughter was completely healed, he finally could breathe a sigh of relief and return to his work. Su Kaicheng’s mother, Luo Meiyun, and Su Kaicheng were busy here, with Su Kaicheng’s second uncle, Su Guoli — the middle-aged man who previously didn’t believe Ye Qing could save Su Kaixin — also staying here.

However, this time upon seeing Ye Qing, their attitude was entirely different from before. Especially Su Guoli, who immediately ran out when he saw Ye Qing, grabbed Ye Qing’s hand, and said, ”You’re back at last. I said I wanted to invite you to dinner since you were busy all afternoon, but you vanished without a trace, how’s that fair?”

”Second Uncle, he went out to attend a classmate gathering, so he must have had dinner.” Su Kaicheng came over, smiled at Ye Qing, and said, ”Ye Zi, you’re back.”

When Ye Qing was taken to the police station by those officers, he even sent a message to Su Kaicheng asking him to help resolve the matter. After returning, Ye Qing originally thought Su Kaicheng would inquire about the situation. Unexpectedly, Su Kaicheng didn’t ask a single question. It seems that Su Kaicheng has absolute trust in him, no matter what happens, he chooses to believe Ye Qing without needing to ask too much.

Su Kaicheng’s personality is very similar to Ye Qing, trusting a person without doubting them. So, due to this trait, Ye Qing and his relationship have gotten closer. In Ye Qing’s mind, Su Kaicheng is indeed a friend worth befriending.

Luo Meiyun is the type of woman who is relatively reserved. She was a bit emotional in the afternoon over her daughter’s situation. Now that her daughter’s condition has stabilized, apart from being happy, she still carries herself with grandeur. After chatting with Ye Qing for a bit and expressing her gratitude, she left, letting Su Kaicheng entertain Ye Qing. After all, she is an elder and Ye Qing is Su Kaicheng’s friend; her presence might make Ye Qing feel inhibited.

”How’s Kaixin?” Ye Qing asked Su Kaicheng.

”Hahaha...” Hearing this, Su Kaicheng was full of joy and said, ”Kaixin is completely fine now. I specifically found several batches of doctors to conduct thorough examinations, and the results were all the same. Soon, Kaixin will fully recover without leaving any after-effects. Ye Zi, my sister’s life was saved by you; words cannot express our gratitude. In the future, if you need anything from the Su Family, just ask!”

Su Kaicheng’s promise represents the intention of the entire Su Family, carrying substantial weight. With the Su Family’s status and power, such a promise is something many people would break their heads trying to obtain.

Ye Qing smiled gently and said, ”Say no more, I actually need your help with something right now.”

”Oh?” Su Kaicheng immediately sat up straight and said, ”Just tell me!”

In fact, Su Kaicheng never expected Ye Qing to make a request so soon. He trusts Ye Qing, knowing he is not someone with ulterior motives or greed, which is why he gave such a promise. If it were someone with ill intentions, the Su Family would never say such words. When Su Kaicheng made that promise, he actually understood that Ye Qing perhaps might never come to him for help in this lifetime. He never expected that just after speaking, Ye Qing would come to him with something, which surprised him and made him wonder if he had misjudged. However, since he had already made the promise, he had to uphold it.

”The orphanage project.” Ye Qing smiled and said, ”I’m ready on my side, but as for the preferences of the inspection team, I’m not sure. Elder Brother Su, could you tell me a bit about them so I can make arrangements accordingly? I wouldn’t want any issues during the inspection, that would be troubling!”

”Hahaha...” Su Kaicheng laughed out loud, initially thinking Ye Qing would have an important matter for the Su Family to help with; unexpectedly, Ye Qing mentioned the orphanage project instead. This again changed Su Kaicheng’s perception of Ye Qing, gaining more respect for him. Ye Qing clearly shows great concern for the orphanage and cares deeply about the children.

One must know, the Su Family’s promise is incredibly valuable. Ye Qing not only didn’t consider for himself but used it for the orphanage, which surely commands Su Kaicheng’s respect.

”What’s so funny?” Ye Qing sincerely said, ”I’m serious, the orphanage project has reached this point; I can’t afford any mistakes. Presumably, the inspection team members are from the Capital, right? You must be familiar with them, could you give me some hints?”

”No need!” Su Kaicheng directly waved his hand, smiling and said, ”Don’t worry, I will personally accompany the inspection team. I will be the leader of the inspection team. As long as your orphanage doesn’t deviate too much from the specific requirements, there won’t be any problems!”

Upon hearing this, Ye Qing was immediately relieved and said, ”You should have mentioned earlier; I’ve been worried sick over this, can’t even sleep well. You wouldn’t know, last time when the provincial inspection team came, it was just because of poor hospitality that ended in a big mess. This time, thinking the Capital inspection team is coming, I thought to prepare in advance. If you’re coming personally, I have nothing to worry about!”

”No worries, I’ve got this, you can rest assured.” Su Kaicheng smiled and patted Ye Qing’s shoulder, saying, ”You’re really conscientious about this orphanage. If your orphanage really succeeds, I’ll help you secure more funding to make it bigger and better, with all expenses fully covered by the state!”

”That’s wonderful!” Ye Qing was delighted and said, ”So, does that mean I won’t have to worry about earning so much money in the future?”

Su Kaicheng waved his hand and said, ”Ah, you can’t put it that way; you still need to earn money. You have your life, and just because you don’t need to support those kids, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t earn money for your family, right?”

Ye Qing smiled slightly, for him, money is not the most crucial, it’s still all about family and brothers. Moreover, if the orphanage really can get full state funding, then Ye Qing wouldn’t have to worry about money anymore. After all, the funds he has now are enough to last several lifetimes!

After chatting a bit with Su Kaicheng, Ye Qing first went downstairs. The hospital also provides accommodations designed for families to rest. The Su Family arranged rooms for Ye Qing and Huangfu Ziyu here, and they arranged two separate rooms, avoiding any awkwardness. Although Ye Qing and Huangfu Ziyu have essentially committed to each other, Ye Qing’s thinking is still quite traditional; without marriage, he is not accustomed to staying in the same room with Huangfu Ziyu.

Compared to Ye Qing, Huangfu Ziyu is somewhat more straightforward. When Ye Qing returned, she was sitting at the door waiting for him. Upon seeing Ye Qing, she greeted him with a smile and gently wrapped her arm around Ye Qing’s and said, ”How is it? Is the young girl okay?”

”She’s quite well,” Ye Qing laughed gently and said, ”Reckon we’ve done a good deed today by saving that young girl.”

”I’ve spent my life killing countless people but haven’t saved a single person,” Huangfu Ziyu said with a smile, ”Today was my first time saving someone. I never thought saving a person would be more challenging than killing one!”

Ye Qing nodded slowly, then smiled and said, ”Anyway, thanks to you, that young girl could survive. Zi Yu, thank you!”

Huangfu Ziyu looked at Ye Qing with deep affection and gently shook her head, saying, ”No need to thank me, for this life, whatever you do, I’ll support you wholeheartedly!”

Listening to these words, warmth filled Ye Qing’s heart. He reached out and pulled Huangfu Ziyu into his arms, and they embraced each other tenderly for a long time. Even without taking any further action, just holding each other was enough to make both their hearts joyful.

Meanwhile, in the Nalan Family courtyard, everyone was gathered, tensely focused on the seat at the topmost position. That seat belonged to Prince Nalan!

With the Nalan Family developed to this point, everything had fallen into the routine, and Prince Nalan, the Family Head, hadn’t personally issued orders in years. Whatever the matter, it’s usually his eldest son who relays his words. But this time, he personally commanded everyone to gather and personally came to hold the meeting, leaving the entire Nalan Family astonished.

If there is no major issue, Prince Nalan usually does not appear. However, what kind of major issue happened this time that even Prince Nalan had to come out personally; this matter certainly is not trivial!
