Urban Martial Saint

After the monk seized the Seven-Star Ancient Sword, Ye Qing had no chance to resist at all, which showed the monk’s formidable strength. It must be noted that when Ye Qing held the Seven-Star Ancient Sword, his strength was not weaker than that of masters like Wang Tian’an. Yet, in front of this monk, he had no power to fight back, something Ye Qing had never anticipated.

He never imagined that there was another master of such caliber on the Netherworld Scholar’s side. With the monk’s level of prowess, only experts like the Southern and Northern Fist Kings could steadily suppress him.

”Hahaha...” Holding the Seven-Star Ancient Sword, the monk was extremely exhilarated and laughed heartily: ”With this kind of treasure, the Southern and Northern Fist Kings, Prince Nalan, the General of Meng District, all must obediently be trampled under the foot of the Buddha Master!”

This monk was indeed arrogant, and having taken the Seven-Star Ancient Sword, he directly elevated himself to the level of the Southern and Northern Fist Kings.

The Netherworld Scholar beside him was even more excited, pointing at Ye Qing urgently, ”Kill him! Quickly, kill him!”

”Noisy!” The monk turned and slapped the Netherworld Scholar across the face, causing blood to spill from his mouth, which showed the power of the monk’s strike.

The Netherworld Scholar shivered in fear and indeed dared not shout again. He quickly retreated a few steps and whispered, ”Master, I... I meant that weeds need to be eradicated by the roots. If we leave this person, he will always be a menace...”

”Does the Buddha Master need your advice in doing things?” The monk glared at the Netherworld Scholar and then turned to laugh heartily at Ye Qing, saying: ”Kid, the agreement I made with you just now is still valid. As long as you bring Huangfu Ziyu and Shen Qingyi out to me, the Buddha Master will ensure your smooth sailing in the future. If you disagree, the Buddha Master will have to send you on your way!”

Ye Qing frowned tightly, fully knowing he was no match for this monk. Moreover, the most troublesome thing now was that with his strength, he probably wouldn’t even be able to escape. Could it be that he really was going to fold here this time?

Seeing Ye Qing frown without speaking, the monk was dissatisfied. He glared and said: ”Hey, kid, the Buddha Master is talking to you, didn’t you hear? If you don’t reply soon, do you believe the Buddha Master will twist your neck?”

Ye Qing clenched his fists and was about to speak when suddenly, from a distance, came an angry shout, as if someone was in a fight.

The three of them turned to look and saw a few people appear at a small hillock in the distance, having started battling each other at some unknown time. Furthermore, from Ye Qing’s side, they could see clearly that several people were surrounding and attacking one person. The surrounded person had a long sack slung over their shoulder, and it was unknown what it contained, but being surrounded appeared somewhat perilous.

Upon seeing the people over there, Ye Qing’s expression changed immediately, for he recognized them all. The person being besieged was the Right Protector from Sha Men who had escaped from Shen Family Manor. The last time at Shen Family Manor, it was the Right Protector and Wang Tian’an’s cohort who conspired together, and when the plot was exposed, Wang Tian’an even wanted to kill him. He seized the chance to flee from Shen Family Manor, and had not appeared since. Unexpectedly, he showed up in the Capital this time. Could it be that he’s with the Netherworld Scholar?

The people attacking the Right Protector were clearly Nalan Tianyu, Helian Qingfeng, and others with whom Ye Qing had crossed paths. Their skills were not weak, and despite the Right Protector’s formidable prowess, being encircled by them made it difficult for him to withstand.

Over there, the Right Protector also noticed the three of them and immediately shouted out loud, ”Ms. Tsubaki, come and help quickly, or your little beauty will be gone!”

”Where’d a bunch of little brats come from? You can’t even handle them?” the monk asked in surprise, but without delay, he ran towards them holding the Seven-Star Ancient Sword.

The Right Protector, while fighting with several people, shouted back loudly, ”They’re Prince Nalan’s grandson and Helian Tiehua’s son, they’re tough nuts!”

”Is that so?” the monk’s eyes brightened, speeding up his pace towards them, raising his hand and grabbing at Nalan Tianyu on the outermost side.

Over here, seeing the monk run off, Ye Qing knew this was the best opportunity, immediately turning and running off in another direction.

”Where are you running to!” The Netherworld Scholar hurriedly chased after him, simultaneously shouting to the monk, ”Dead baldy, this kid is running, deal with him first!”

Over there, the monk had already thrown Nalan Tianyu to one side. Hearing this, he didn’t even turn his head, just cursed out loud, ”Netherworld Scholar, you dare to call me that again, I’ll knock all the teeth out of you later!”

The Netherworld Scholar was utterly helpless, knowing the monk’s character—without provocation, he would never pay attention to Ye Qing. So he started by insulting, but it was of no use; the monk showed no intention of turning back to help.

The distance between the Netherworld Scholar and Ye Qing was very close, and quickly, he caught up with Ye Qing. However, his skills were no match for Ye Qing. After exchanging a few blows, Ye Qing punched him, causing him to vomit blood and retreat several steps, not daring to advance any further.

If Ye Qing hadn’t been in a hurry to escape, he would have surely continued to chase and kill the Netherworld Scholar. But now, in this situation, he could only focus on preserving his life first. If the monk returned, Ye Qing wouldn’t have a chance to escape.

Over there, Nalan Tianyu and Helian Qingfeng had been tailing Ye Qing, chasing him all the way here, wanting to see if the Netherworld Scholar would kill Ye Qing. Upon seeing the monk just now, they were excited, thinking they could really kill Ye Qing this time. Unexpectedly, while they were hiding to watch the drama, the Right Protector suddenly rushed from behind and engaged them directly in a fight.

Now, wasn’t it ironic, Ye Qing had escaped, leaving them behind instead. The monk charged into the crowd, knocking them down in no time, leaving them on the ground.

”Hmph, the grandson of Prince Nalan, the son of Helian Tiehua, is this all the skill you have?” The monk sneered, saying, ”They can’t even compare to that disciple of the Southern and Northern Fist King just now. It seems both the Helian Family and Nalan Family are on the decline!”

Upon hearing this, both Helian Qingfeng and Nalan Tianyu were enraged. Nalan Tianyu frowned and said in a deep voice, ”You damn monk, since you know I’m from the Nalan Family, you should know the power of our family. If you dare to hurt me, my grandfather will definitely not let you off!”

”Hmph, I’ve heard that line over a decade ago,” the monk sneered, saying, ”You think your grandfather hasn’t wanted to kill me, the Buddha Master? If that old Nalan guy really had the ability, he would have killed me long ago. Hmph, it’s been over ten years, and I’m still alive and well, aren’t I?”

Nalan Tianyu’s eyes widened, he hadn’t expected that his grandfather wanted to kill someone and yet couldn’t manage to do so?

”You’ve been on the run for over ten years, and you consider that an ability?” Nalan Tianyu retorted angrily.

The monk’s face changed slightly, as Nalan Tianyu had made a fair point; he had indeed been running for his life for over a decade.

”I’m already in the Capital now, and soon, I’m going to settle some old scores with that old Nalan guy!” The monk glanced at Nalan Tianyu, saying, ”Hmph, you young people are so inexperienced, you have no idea of my capabilities. Tomorrow, I’ll show you my true skills firsthand!”

Nalan Tianyu shouted loudly, ”You dare go to my Nalan Family, then you’ll have some real skill!”

”There’s no need to play provocations with me, the Buddha Master; without your goading, I would still seek out that old Nalan guy!” The monk gripped the Seven-Star Ancient Sword in his hand tightly, speaking coldly, ”I just heard that Helian Tiehua will be coming to the Capital tomorrow as well. I’ll take the opportunity to meet with him too. I want to see how strong these so-called Five Unmatches of the World truly are!”

”Five Unmatches of the World?” Nalan Tianyu froze for a moment, having never heard of this term.

Helian Qingfeng had more knowledge than Nalan Tianyu, and he had been observing the monk all along, seemingly contemplating something.

”What, you haven’t heard of it?” The monk sneered, saying, ”The Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun, the Northern Fist King Li Changqing, Meng District General Helian Tiehua, Prince Nalan of the Capital, and the Western Xinjiang Purple-Robed Lama, collectively known as the Five Unmatches of the World. It’s said that these five represent the pinnacle of contemporary martial arts. However, I, the Buddha Master, don’t believe it. Tomorrow, I will show the world what the true pinnacle of martial arts is!”

”Is... is there really such a saying?” Nalan Tianyu’s eyes widened, unaware that his grandfather had such a title.

The monk couldn’t be bothered with him, and directly walked over to the Right Protector, picked up the sack, and eagerly said, ”Is she a beauty?”

”Of course!” the Right Protector said, ”I specifically inquired; a top beauty from the film academy, her figure and looks are top-notch!”

”That’s good!” The monk eagerly opened the sack, revealing a woman inside.

This woman’s appearance was indeed quite good, with a great figure, and she was dressed beautifully. Seeing her like this, the monk was even more excited, bending down to kiss her on the lips hungrily, looking like a lustful ghost.

”You... do you even count as a monk?” Nalan Tianyu couldn’t help but say.

Helian Qingfeng’s eyes flashed with a sharp brilliance, staring intently at the monk, and said in a deep voice, ”Are you the Joyous Monk!?”

”Joyous Monk?” Nalan Tianyu turned his head in surprise to look at Helian Qingfeng and said, ”What Joyous Monk?”

”You have a good eye for a junior, being able to see through my Buddha Master’s identity.” The monk raised his head and laughed loudly, saying, ”However, I am no longer called Joyous Monk; I have long since changed my name to Ms. Tsubaki!”

Helian Qingfeng’s eyebrows furrowed even tighter, saying in a deep voice, ”I truly didn’t expect, you’re still alive. My father said, you disappeared with the Bloody Monk over ten years ago!”

Ms. Tsubaki laughed loudly, saying, ”You’re referring to my second senior brother, right? I didn’t disappear with him. He is hiding from my big senior brother, while I, the Buddha Master, don’t need to hide from anyone, I was just in seclusion to train. So, I don’t count as missing; he was the one who went missing.”
