Urban Martial Saint

At this moment, the other bodyguards also rushed inside. However, Ye Qing had already reached the bedside and was standing next to the middle-aged woman.

”I know!” Ye Qing calmly looked at Su Kaicheng and said, ”This kind of thing, if taken seriously, is an attempt to assassinate a national leader, which is a crime punishable by death!”

Hearing these words, Su Kaicheng frowned and said sternly, ”Since you understand the consequences of this matter, why aren’t you leaving immediately?”

Ye Qing looked at Su Kaixin lying in the hospital bed and said softly, ”Getting me to leave isn’t difficult. But, Elder Brother Su, have you considered the possibility that if your sister isn’t really dead, she might still have a chance?”

These words immediately changed Su Kaicheng’s expression, leaving him momentarily stunned.

”You’re talking nonsense!” the middle-aged man glared and said, ”Several professional doctors have jointly issued the death certificate, and the heartbeat monitor shows no activity. Kaixin has clearly passed away. Do you really believe she’s not dead? This isn’t a superstitious society anymore; don’t try to fool me with that Ghost God nonsense, I won’t buy it!”

The others also nodded in agreement, clearly dissatisfied with Ye Qing forcing his way into the ward.

The ******** was a bit hesitant. She glanced at Su Kaicheng’s father and said in a low voice, ”Sir, is what you said earlier true?”

”Sister-in-law, are you really buying into this man’s lies?” the middle-aged man urged, ”Kaixin’s matter is already confirmed. Do you believe in medicine or in superstition?”

The middle-aged woman felt somewhat embarrassed. Of course, she didn’t believe in superstition. However, this matter concerned her daughter’s life and death. If there was a real chance her daughter could come back to life, she wouldn’t hesitate to change her beliefs. Now, she would seize even the slightest opportunity with all her strength!

”What I’m talking about is also medicine, not superstition!” Ye Qing looked quietly at the middle-aged woman and said, ”I can’t be sure she’s not dead, but I can try something. Actually, Elder Brother Su, since your sister is already gone, trying to save her isn’t too much to ask. As the saying goes, you sometimes treat a dead horse as if it’s still alive. Haven’t you thought about what if my method works?”

Ye Qing’s words convinced Su Kaicheng, who nodded heavily and looked at his father, saying softly, ”Dad, how about... we let him try?”

Su Kaicheng’s father glanced at Su Kaicheng and said in a deep voice, ”If you trust him, let him try. But Kaixin is gone, and I don’t want anyone desecrating her body!”

His father’s words counted as agreement to Su Kaicheng’s request. Su Kaicheng turned to Ye Qing and nodded.

Ye Qing also slowly nodded. He could see Su Kaicheng still had trust in him. However, Su Kaicheng couldn’t bring himself to believe that Su Kaixin might not be dead.

Since both Su Kaicheng and his father had spoken, the others said nothing further. The middle-aged man mumbled a few words but eventually stepped aside.

Ye Qing walked to the front of the hospital bed, reached under Su Kaixin’s ear, and felt her skin, vaguely sensing the warm blood flow still inside.

”How long has the heartbeat stopped?” Ye Qing asked.

”About twenty minutes,” the middle-aged woman paused and said in a low voice, ”Is there still hope for Kaixin?”

”Twenty minutes, I’m afraid it’s hard to say,” Ye Qing sighed, and then asked, ”Do you have any needles?”

”Needles? What kind of needles?” the others asked curiously.

Ye Qing said, ”Acupuncture silver needles. If not, ordinary sewing needles will do. If that doesn’t work, a scalpel will suffice, but a scalpel is a bit troublesome.”

”We have silver needles.” The middle-aged woman immediately took a pile of silver needles from the table and handed them to Ye Qing. In order to save Su Kaixin, they had tried all sorts of methods, including Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture. Unfortunately, none of it saved Su Kaixin, but they weren’t short of tools.

Ye Qing took the silver needles, reached under Su Kaixin’s ear, and precisely located the spot. Under the watchful eyes of everyone, he suddenly pierced the silver needle into the spot under Su Kaixin’s ear.

”What are you doing?” the middle-aged man immediately shouted, ”Kaixin is gone, and you’re still damaging her body like this?”

Su Kaicheng’s father also frowned. Watching his daughter’s body being treated like this, he found it hard to bear. However, he was a man of good demeanor and didn’t lose his temper, though he was certainly displeased inside.

Ye Qing completely ignored the middle-aged man. After slowly removing the silver needle, they saw a bright red drop of blood slowly seeping out from the puncture spot under Su Kaixin’s ear.

Seeing the blood droplet, Ye Qing immediately perked up and exclaimed excitedly, ”Good, she’s still alive!”

”Huh?” Everyone was taken aback. Su Kaicheng and the middle-aged woman were overjoyed, and even Su Kaicheng’s father widened his eyes, anxiously watching Ye Qing.

”How do you know?” the middle-aged man asked curiously.

Ye Qing said, ”Look, the blood is still bright red and hasn’t changed color.”

”Really!” The middle-aged woman said excitedly, ”Really, really, Kaixin’s blood hasn’t changed color yet, she... she’s still alive...”

The middle-aged man glared and said, ”Nonsense, Kaixin’s heartbeat stopped less than twenty minutes ago, her body temperature hasn’t completely dropped, and the blood hasn’t clotted yet, how could it change color?”

This statement immediately brought Su Kaicheng, who was prepared to be excited, back to reality. The middle-aged woman also lost her previous excitement. Yes, it’s been less than twenty minutes since the person died, how could the blood change color?

”It’s different.” Ye Qing shook his head and said, ”I’m not talking about blood changing color after a person dies, I’m saying the blood in this area hasn’t changed color.”

”What’s the difference?” The middle-aged man glared.

”Of course there’s a difference!” Ye Qing looked at Su Kaicheng and said, ”Elder Brother Su, isn’t your sister’s blood clot pressing on the brain nerves in this area?”

Su Kaicheng looked at the area Ye Qing was pointing to, thought for a moment, and nodded, ”That’s right, it’s that area.”

”That’s it.” Ye Qing said, ”Everyone think carefully, Miss Su had intracranial bleeding, and the blood clot pressed on the brain nerves, which led to this result. Since it’s a blood clot, would it deteriorate slowly inside the head?”

This made everyone pause, and Su Kaicheng frowned and said, ”Ye brother, what do you mean...”

”This area is where Miss Su’s blood clot is pressing on the brain nerves, but in fact, the blood clot in this area hasn’t changed color and remains bright red.” Ye Qing looked at everyone and said, ”This indicates that for Miss Su, the most lethal issue isn’t the blood clot pressing on the brain nerves, but the continuous intracranial bleeding and the constant circulation of blood. Actually, the wound inside Miss Su’s head has never healed, and the blood not only filled the brain but continually rushed into the brain. Miss Su’s death is due to the brain being filled with too much blood, preventing it from functioning, thus causing a pseudo-death phenomenon.”

”Pseudo-death!?” Everyone looked at each other; they had never heard of this term.

Ye Qing also didn’t know this term before, but in Acupoint Seeking Technique, there is a record about this. Moreover, the situation recorded inside is exactly the same as Su Kaixin’s current situation, which is why Ye Qing was so confident. The facts prove that the methods in Acupoint Seeking Technique are truly magical and always have miraculous effects in saving lives.

”Death is death, what is pseudo-death?” The middle-aged man asked.

”Death is, of course, death, but pseudo-death is not death.” Ye Qing said, ”Miss Su’s brain is overfilled with blood, causing it to lose normal function, leading to brain death. But the heart, due to an insufficient blood supply and brain death, gradually stops beating. In fact, Miss Su’s body functions are still there; it’s just a temporary brain death and heart stoppage that led to this current state, which is pseudo-death.”

”Is that true?” The middle-aged man frowned and said, ”So many doctors have checked several times over here; how could they not know about pseudo-death? Are you making this up? Why haven’t I heard of pseudo-death before?”

Ye Qing said, ”In Western medicine, death is evaluated based on brain death and heart stoppage. Miss Su meets both criteria, so they naturally identified her as dead. However, in Traditional Chinese Medicine, death is defined as the body losing its functions. Miss Su’s body is functioning normally, which does not count as death. Given her current situation, all that’s needed is to extract the blood from the brain and repair the wound in the brain so that blood cannot rush in anymore, and she can slowly recover her health.”

Ye Qing’s words left everyone at the scene flabbergasted; even the middle-aged man was stunned and stopped asking questions.

”Then... can you save her?” Su Kaicheng asked nervously.

Su Kaicheng’s father and the middle-aged woman also looked at Ye Qing together, both visibly believing Ye Qing’s words earlier, now looking hopeful.

Ye Qing slowly nodded and said, ”I’ll try, but I need a helper.”

”Who do you need? I’ll go find them right now!” Su Kaicheng exclaimed.

”No need to find anyone, just let Zi Yu come in,” Ye Qing said.

Only then did Su Kaicheng remember that Huangfu Ziyu was still at the door. He glanced at his father, who just slightly nodded, and Su Kaicheng understood his intent, so he let Huangfu Ziyu come in directly.

Huangfu Ziyu didn’t have a good attitude towards the people in the room, but she wouldn’t refuse when Ye Qing asked for her help.

”What can I do as a helper?” Huangfu Ziyu asked curiously.

”To save her, it must be done by someone with strong Inner Strength,” Ye Qing said, ”Modern medicine, while advanced, cannot force the blood inside the head back into the body; only using Inner Strength is the safest method.”

”Oh, that’s simple, I’ll do it.” Huangfu Ziyu said, reaching out to faintly support Su Kaixin.

”Wait a minute!” Ye Qing hastily stopped Huangfu Ziyu and exclaimed, ”Let me finish, there’s a lot of technique required when using Inner Strength later; don’t make any mistakes, or she really won’t be saved!”
