Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing’s four cars were blocked in the middle, and more than thirty people immediately disembarked from the two trucks at the front and back, led by Xu Cunxiao.

Tian An was well aware of the matters tonight; he knew he couldn’t possibly kill White Horse Chen San even if he tried his hardest. Therefore, he took people to Ye Qing’s place mainly to see the alliance between Ye Qing and Chen San. If there was a chance, he would launch a surprise attack and kill as many as he could. However, he was determined to kill Ye Qing. Handling Ye Qing was entirely entrusted to Xu Cunxiao, so Xu Cunxiao did not go to the hotel with him, but waited for Ye Qing to come out.

In fact, not long after Tian An left their residence, Xu Cunxiao also quietly took people away. However, Xu Cunxiao and his men did not leave all at once but dispersed, so even Chen San’s subordinates found out about this news shortly before they were about to reach home. As for Ye Qing, it was even more impossible for him to receive this news, so this time, Xu Cunxiao’s attack was truly an absolute ambush.

This time, Xu Cunxiao also came with the intention to kill; he was not going to play any strategic games with Ye Qing anymore but directly brought enough manpower. Even if several of his own men died, he was determined to kill Ye Qing. Several consecutive incidents had made Tian An and Xu Cunxiao realize that Ye Qing’s existence would definitely become a major threat to them. Thus, they surrounded Ye Qing’s four cars in such a place, prepared to trap and kill Ye Qing here!

Seeing Xu Cunxiao and his men, the people in Ye Qing’s cars also immediately got out. Ye Qing’s side had fewer people than Xu Cunxiao had anticipated—altogether nine people in four cars, not even ten. Those six subordinates of Tian An didn’t leave with Ye Qing’s car, which surprised Xu Cunxiao. His information was that the four subordinates captured with Tian An had come together with Ye Qing, so why weren’t they here now?

However, since Ye Qing was here, Xu Cunxiao felt his trip was not in vain. He watched Ye Qing from a distance and sneered, ”Ye Qing, we meet again!”

Black Bear Mad Dog, noticing the expressions of the people on both sides, were greatly shocked; Black Bear quickly shielded Ye Qing behind him and said, ”Captain, you go first, I’ll cover your rear!”

Mad Dog had the same expression and grabbed a machete from the car, shouting loudly: ”Big brother, you go first, I’ll carve out a path for you!”

Mad Dog and Black Bear were absolutely loyal to Ye Qing. However, loyalty aside, the situation tonight, even if they risked their lives, they couldn’t change the grave predicament.

”Leave? Ha ha ha...” Xu Cunxiao laughed loudly, looking at Ye Qing from afar, and said: ”Ye, let’s see you try to leave. Tonight, if you can leave alive, Xu Cunxiao will share a surname with you!”

Xu Cunxiao had already received news that Chen San and Chen Si’s group had already returned home. That meant that group couldn’t possibly rush to rescue Ye Qing. Now he had twenty to thirty top experts with him; even if Ye Qing’s subordinates came over, it wouldn’t change the situation. So, in his eyes, Ye Qing was already a dead man!

Ye Qing frowned deeply, retreated slightly to the back, and said to the people nearby in a low voice: ”When I give the signal, run immediately towards the cliff edge, you must be fast, understand?”

Ye Qing’s voice was very low, only audible to the few people beside him. Black Bear Mad Dog and the others were stunned, not knowing what Ye Qing meant. The cliffs on both sides were sheer, about ten meters high directly leading to the top, and it was simply impossible for the people to climb up. Xu Cunxiao chose this place to block both ends, directly trapping everyone like turtles in a jar, making it impossible to escape via the cliff edge.

However, since Ye Qing had said so, everyone nodded without any doubt.

On the other side, Xu Cunxiao watched the people here whispering to each other and felt a bit puzzled, not knowing what Ye Qing was planning to do. But looking at the twenty to thirty top experts beside him, he felt reassured again. With so many experts ambushing together, even if Ye Qing really had some tricks, it wouldn’t change any situation. This time, Ye Qing was definitely doomed!

”Ye, I advise you to stop wasting your efforts.” Xu Cunxiao spoke loudly, ”Just surrender straightforwardly, maybe I’ll leave you a whole corpse. If you continue to struggle, I will definitely make your death very painful!”

Ye Qing ignored him, only whispered softly: ”Get ready, one! Two! Three!”

On the count of three, Ye Qing suddenly let out a roar, the sound echoing all around, carrying far into the night.

Following Ye Qing’s roar, Black Bear Mad Dog and the others immediately followed Ye Qing’s instructions, turning their heads and running towards the cliff on both sides.

Seeing the situation, Xu Cunxiao was momentarily stunned. As he saw people around him about to chase after them, he quickly urged, ”Don’t chase, don’t chase. Block the exits on both sides; they can’t escape. Don’t fall for Ye Qing’s diversion strategy. Focus on guarding against Ye Qing; don’t let him get away!”

Hearing this, the people around Xu Cunxiao immediately retreated and blocked all the exits to prevent Ye Qing and the others from escaping from there.

However, Ye Qing had no intention of going that way at all. Seeing Black Bear Mad Dog and others already nearing the cliffs on both sides, he let out another howl and immediately turned and ran towards one of the cliffs.

With Ye Qing’s howl, several large lights suddenly illuminated the tops of both cliffs, lighting up the entire cliff face as bright as daylight. At the same time, nine long ropes were thrown down from the top of the cliffs, hanging down to the road.

Seeing these ropes, Xu Cunxiao’s expression changed drastically, finally understanding what Ye Qing’s plan was. He could never have dreamed that Ye Qing had people arranged on both ends of the cliff, capable of escaping from there.

”Chase! Chase them for me! Block them!” Xu Cunxiao shouted furiously, extremely anxious. If Ye Qing escaped, he would surely face another round of torture when he got back.

However, his command was a bit too late. Black Bear Mad Dog and others were stupefied seeing the ropes; however, they were not fools. They immediately grabbed a rope and hastily began to climb towards the top of the cliff. They had just started climbing when someone at the top of the cliff fiercely pulled the ropes, lifting them up swiftly.

Even though Xu Cunxiao’s subordinates were First-Rank experts, by the time they got there, Ye Qing, the closest to the ground, had already been pulled up about five meters. Even with extraordinary skills, they couldn’t jump such a high distance. After a moment’s hesitation, Ye Qing and the others were already pulled to the top of the cliff, standing high and looking down on Xu Cunxiao and his group.

Upon reaching the top of the cliff, Black Bear Mad Dog were visibly shocked. However, when they saw Li Lianshan standing at the top of the cliff, they instantly understood.

”Li, so it’s you!” Mad Dog heaved a sigh of relief, saying, ”When did you get here? I thought we were really in trouble this time. I was all set for a desperate fight!”

”Hahaha…” Li Lianshan laughed loudly, saying, ”You didn’t know, did you? Ye Zi had already planned everything. He predicted that Wang Tian’an would definitely take tonight’s opportunity to kill him, so he had me bring people here to wait in advance. Just now, Ye Zi gave us the signal to throw down the ropes. Are you all okay?”

”We’re fine, we’re fine,” Mad Dog replied with a wave of his hand, saying, ”Li, you are truly foresighted!”

”I am totally impressed by him!” Li Lianshan said looking at Ye Qing beside him, ”Ye Zi, how did you know they would block you here? You had me lying in ambush in advance which just happened to save you. Didn’t you ever consider, if you got it wrong, that would have been troublesome!”

Ye Qing shook his head, ”This road, both sides are fields. If they wanted to block us anywhere else, it wouldn’t be easy. We are driving, as long as we didn’t stop, they couldn’t do anything to us on those flat lands. Elsewhere, even if they used trucks to block the road, we could drive into the fields and keep going. Or else, in the worst case, I’d abandon the car and run. It wouldn’t have been easy for them to catch up with me. Xu Cunxiao wants me dead so badly; he wouldn’t take the risk. Therefore, he would definitely choose a surefire place. This road, here is the only location, flanked by cliffs on both sides, once both exits are blocked, there’s no escaping, so they definitely would choose this place!”

Hearing Ye Qing say this, Li Lianshan nodded repeatedly, turning to Ye Qing saying, ”You’re sharper than me; I wouldn’t have thought of all that. Damn, if it were me, I would’ve needed to bring a ton of people along!”

”Military operations are all about timing, terrain, and teamwork,” Ye Qing smiled, saying, ”In the army before, all kinds of attack operations required well-thought-out plans in advance; I’m just used to it.”

”Your habits really came in handy, I think Xu Cunxiao will cry this time!” Li Lianshan turned to look down at Xu Cunxiao and his group, angrily looking up towards the top of the cliff.

Xu Cunxiao was nearly driven mad, he had planned several times to kill Ye Qing before, but every attempt had failed. And this time, he didn’t resort to schemes, directly bringing people over, intending to forcefully kill Ye Qing. Yet, it still ended up in vain, which he simply couldn’t accept. Moreover, the most troubling part was that he would be punished by Wang Tian’an after going back, which was what he feared the most!

”Ye Qing, you coward!” Xu Cunxiao yelled upward at Ye Qing, angrily stating, ”Hmph, you might escape today, but can you escape tomorrow? If I can’t kill you today, I won’t let you off ever. One day, I will make sure you die by my hands!”
