Urban Martial Saint

Wang Tian’an charged towards those five or six people, casually drawing the soft sword at his waist and decapitating the two in the front.

The remaining four were taken aback by the sight and tried to turn and flee, but how could they possibly compete with Wang Tian’an? He rushed forward, wielding his sword with deadly precision, slashing all four men into the pool of blood, void of any mercy as though their lives were inconsequential.

In less than a minute, all six of Ye Qing’s subordinates were killed by Wang Tian’an. Up in the building, Ye Qing watched, his eyes nearly splitting from fury, glaring death at Wang Tian’an, his fists slowly clenching tighter.

Ye Qing had not wanted to clash with Wang Tian’an, but he orchestrated tonight’s assault because Wang Tian’an had attacked Shenchuan City before, killing many of Ye Qing and Li Lianshan’s men. Ye Qing burned so many to death tonight solely for revenge. Even though Ye Qing formed an alliance with the Chen Family siblings, it was only for survival. As he had said earlier, while cooperating, dealing with Wang Tian’an was mainly led by Chen San. In other words, he did not intend to aggressively move against Wang Tian’an himself.

But this time, Wang Tian’an brutally killed six people who stood no chance of fighting back, completely enraging Ye Qing. In his eyes, when looking at Wang Tian’an, the glint of murderous intent was relentless – he was truly set on killing Wang Tian’an!

Seeing Ye Qing like this, Chen San couldn’t help but smirk slightly. He knew that Wang Tian’an killed those six people to vent out his spleen. Unfortunately, with this act, Wang Tian’an had made a vehement enemy of himself. If Ye Qing genuinely sought to target Wang Tian’an, it would surely be a headache for the latter.

After killing the six men, Wang Tian’an seemed still unsatisfied and looked around for more people to pursue. However, everyone had received Black Bear’s message and had already scattered to escape. There was no one left to stay, leaving Wang Tian’an unable to find anyone else to unleash his anger upon. In frustration, he turned around and provocatively glared at Ye Qing and the others on the roof.

Ye Qing was also looking at him; their eyes met, the murderous intent in Ye Qing’s gaze deepening. Wang Tian’an, too, stared back with icy sharpness, making a throat-slitting gesture towards Ye Qing and Chen Si and Chen San before turning to leave.

Wang Tian’an was no fool. He was well aware that Chen San must have arranged for numerous skillful men here. If he lingered, he’d most likely lose his life, and despite seething with rage, he dared not stay a moment longer.

As they watched Wang Tian’an depart, Chen San’s smile broadened. He was exceptionally content tonight. Ye Qing had once again proven his strength, making Chen San feel sure that allying with him was the right decision. Moreover, Ye Qing’s plot to burn more than twenty of Wang Tian’an’s top men was a significant blow to him, giving Chen San a sense of revengeful satisfaction. And now, with Wang Tian’an still alive and escaped, Chen San saw a chance for personal revenge, which delighted him the most. To be honest, he truly feared that Wang Tian’an might have perished in the sea of fire, for then he would not be able to kill Wang Tian’an by his own hands and exact vengeance!

On the other hand, although a few of Wang Tian’an’s subordinates had escaped the sea of fire, they were intercepted by Sha Men. The outcome was predictable. These men were originally quite skilled – after all, escaping from such a fire meant they were no ordinary individuals. However, without the buffalo hide protection that Wang Tian’an had, they were all injured in the fire. Once they emerged, facing the skilled adversaries of Sha Men didn’t take long before they were subdued.

Seeing the battle down below come to an end, Chen San nodded in satisfaction and turned to look at Ye Qing with a smile, saying, ”Brother Ye, tonight’s show was indeed spectacular. It seems my trip here was not in vain!”

Ye Qing, still filled with resentment towards Wang Tian’an, didn’t show much of a smile upon hearing Chen San’s words, simply nodding and saying, ”Brother Chen San, in that case, our agreement still stands, right?”

”Hahahaha...” Chen San laughed heartily, looking at Ye Qing and responding, ”Rest assured, Chen Mou always means what he says, never a second word. Since we’ve agreed, it shall not change. Brother Ye, from now on, in dealing with Wang Tian’an, my Chen Family’s men will share the same fate as you, advancing and retreating together!”

Ye Qing also nodded, saying, ”Since Brother Chen San is so forthcoming, I’ll also make a promise. I dare not speak for other places, but if you need anything in Shenchuan City, just ask. If it’s within my power, I will not hesitate to help!”

”Good!” Chen San burst into laughter, extended his right hand and said, ”Brother Ye, with your word, I am reassured!”

Ye Qing extended his hand as well, and they shook hands. With that, their alliance was solidified.

After a quick meal, Chen San and Chen Si didn’t linger and took their leave. Now that the alliance was settled, the next step was to plan for dealing with Wang Tian’an. With Wang Tian’an having suffered such a great loss tonight, Chen San worried that he might act out of fury prematurely, so he had to prepare his men to be ready for Wang Tian’an, not daring to slack in the slightest.

Having seen off Chen San and Chen Si, Ye Qing went downstairs. The entire small grove had been incinerated. However, that was fine, given that Li Lianshan was planning to develop this area and would have needed to clear the grove anyway. The fire had taken care of business and saved a lot of trouble.

Mad Dog led his men to sift through the ashes and found more than twenty bodies, all of them were Wang Tian’an’s subordinates. Each one of them had been a first-rank expert. But when surrounded by the sea of fire, their adeptness was worthless.

Looking at these corpses, Ye Qing didn’t feel much remorse. The act of Wang Tian’an slaying those six men had stripped away any pity Ye Qing might have had for these people. Moreover, these men had likely spilled much blood while serving under Wang Tian’an. And among those previously killed by Ye Qing and Li Lianshan’s men, it was possible these were the perpetrators. Burning these men was merely an act of vengeance.

Mad Dog did a headcount and then walked up to Ye Qing, saying, ”Big brother, excluding the escaped Wang Tian’an, the number of people checks out!”

Ye Qing slowly nodded and gestured with his hand, ”Bury them all!”

”Big brother, do we really bury them?” Mad Dog was somewhat surprised. During Wang Tian’an’s sneak attack on Shenchuan City, three of Mad Dog’s brothers were killed. As a result, Mad Dog harbored a deep anger towards Wang Tian’an’s men and desperately wished he could personally take revenge by killing them. Now faced with these corpses, he wanted to just throw them into the sea to feed the fish, not wanting to bury them at all.

Ye Qing knew the rage in Mad Dog’s heart and let out a gentle sigh, ”They are already dead, what feud cannot be resolved? Let them rest in peace!”

Mad Dog reluctantly glanced at the more than twenty corpses and eventually had someone come over to take care of them and bury them.

Ye Qing made his way to the private room in the back, where the captives were currently being held. Several members of the Sha Men were there keeping an eye on them. Upon Ye Qing’s arrival, Ghost King Li Ruoyuan immediately came up to him, asking, ”Hey, Little Leaf, what about Wang Tian’an? Did he get burned to death?”

In the past, Ghost King Li Ruoyuan would have loved nothing more than to kill Ye Qing, but after Ye Qing saved them at the Xihang Shen Family Manor last time, Li Ruoyuan’s attitude towards Ye Qing changed a lot. Especially with the nickname changing from ’Ye’ to ’Little Leaf,’ it was evident that he had truly accepted Ye Qing as one of his own.

The few members of Sha Men all looked at Ye Qing. The person they most wanted to kill was Wang Tian’an. However, while they were guarding the exit just now, they did not realize that Wang Tian’an had already escaped. Thus, each one of them looked expectantly at Ye Qing, wanting to confirm whether Wang Tian’an had indeed perished in the flames.

Ye Qing shook his head and recounted what had just happened, and the members of Sha Men were momentarily stunned.

”Damn it, that bastard was really well-prepared!” Ghost King Li Ruoyuan couldn’t help cursing: ”He even had buffalo hide fireproof clothing in the car? Geez, even such an enormous fire couldn’t kill that bastard. He really has a life of a cat!”

The other members of Sha Men were also filled with indignation, but despite their fury, there was nothing they could do about Wang Tian’an’s escape. They could only hope to deal with him the next time they crossed paths.

Ye Qing turned his gaze to the few subordinates of Wang Tian’an in the room. There were six of them in total, all with burns all over their bodies and blisters covering their skin, looking quite horrifying. They had also been beaten by members of Sha Men just before, and now they barely had the strength to resist. Especially two of them, who seemed to be on their last breath, looking as if they were not far from death.

Ye Qing frowned slightly and turned to Black Bear, ”Xiong Zi, go get some water for them to drink first!”

”Hey, are you serious?” Ghost King Li Ruoyuan immediately stepped forward, saying, ”These are Wang Tian’an’s subordinates; instead of killing them, you’re giving them water? Have worms gotten into your brain?”

”They are just Wang Tian’an’s subordinates, not Wang Tian’an himself,” Ye Qing looked at Li Ruoyuan and said, ”Besides, since they’ve been captured, there’s no need to torture them any further.”

”You…” Ghost King Li Ruoyuan was about to speak again when Cui Yu immediately stopped him, saying, ”Old ghost, Brother Ye is right. Even in war, prisoners are to be treated well. These people are already so severely burned, let’s give them some water to drink first. Otherwise, how can we interrogate them later?”

”So you’re saying it’s mainly for interrogation, why didn’t you say so earlier!” Ghost King Li Ruoyuan waved his hand, ”Then what are we waiting for, hurry up and give them some water.”

Just as Black Bear had brought the water in, a few underlings hurried over to feed it to them, but Ye Qing quickly stopped them.

”Did you put salt in this water?” Ye Qing looked at Black Bear, ”At this time, it’s best to give them some salt water.”

”Ah, I forgot!” Black Bear slapped his forehead and quickly ran out to get a box of salt, placed some in a bowl of water, stirred it to make a light salt solution, and then let the underlings go ahead and feed it to them.
