Urban Martial Saint

”Alright.” Black Bear responded with a call, gesturing downward. Without any visible movements, a piece of ground within the small grove suddenly collapsed, exposing a nearly twenty-meter-wide trap.

Chen San and Chen Si’s expressions changed dramatically, they didn’t expect that Ye Qing had such a contingency plan. Such a huge trap, it would have been enough for all of Wang Tian’an’s men to fall into just now.

Ye Qing said: ”Third Brother Chen, I’ve already prepared traps in this grove. If those people really chase after us, we’ll lead them right to the trap. Once they fall into it, the result will be the same, won’t it!”

”The Ye brothers’ planning is truly meticulous!” Chen San couldn’t help but express his admiration, adding: ”However, Ye brothers, how did you know that Wang Tian’an and his men would enter this small grove? If they didn’t come in, wouldn’t all these traps you’ve prepared before be useless?”

”Since I’m going to deal with them, of course, I have to be fully prepared.” Ye Qing said with a smile: ”Around this hotel, there are barely any coverings, only three small groves where people can hide. I had people set up these traps in each of these small groves in advance.”

Ye Qing paused for a moment, looking at Chen San, and said with a smile: ”By the way, Third Brother Chen, the brothers you brought are also hiding in one of the small groves. I forgot to mention just now, there’s a trap at the northwest corner of that grove. Tell all brothers to be careful not to trigger the trap; that wouldn’t be good.”

Chen San’s face turned solemn, he didn’t expect Ye Qing to have planned so thoroughly. Currently, Ye Qing was targeting the people from Western Province, hence setting fire to the small grove where the people from the Western Province were hiding. Had the blaze been in the grove where his own men were hiding, they would have been equally unable to escape.

Chen San waved at a brother beside him, who turned around and immediately went to inform the others below. There were traps in that small grove, too; he had to prevent his men from falling into them!

”The Ye brothers’ arrangement really is detailed enough!” The expression on Chen San’s face gradually changed, and he laughed loudly: ”It seems that cooperating with the Ye brothers is going to be a very pleasant matter!”

Ye Qing calmly replied: ”It’s enough that Third Brother Chen holds us in high esteem. As for the matter of cooperation, naturally, it should still be led by Third Brother Chen!”

Chen San smiled slightly, understanding Ye Qing’s meaning. Ye Qing wanted to put the forces of Shenchuan City on an equal footing with Chen San’s men. However, when it came to dealing with Wang Tian’an, it would mainly be Chen San’s men taking action, with those from Shenchuan City playing a supportive role.

If Chen San had not seen Ye Qing’s methods in dealing with the people from Western Province tonight, he definitely would not have paid much attention to Ye Qing’s words. Even if he cooperated with Ye Qing, he would never have given much status to Ye Qing’s influence in Shenchuan City. But now, he had genuinely started to regard Ye Qing as his equal. In terms of handling Wang Tian’an, having Ye Qing play a supportive role was sufficient for him. Because the actual strength on Ye Qing’s side truly wasn’t enough, what he needed was Ye Qing’s intellect!

”Ye brothers, rest assured, from now on, brothers from the Ye family in Shenchuan City will be just like my own brothers!” Chen San raised the wine bowl on the table and laughed: ”However, when dealing with Wang Tian’an, I still hope more to take action personally. After all, he has a deep-seated grudge of annihilating our whole family!”

By saying this, Chen San was also responding to Ye Qing’s words. He would treat the people from Shenchuan City as his own brothers and place them at the same level as his own men. Moreover, when dealing with Wang Tian’an, he did not plan to let the people from Shenchuan City contribute much, which equaled agreeing to Ye Qing’s earlier request.

Ye Qing’s heart felt relieved, as he had arranged so much tonight precisely to gain bargaining capital with Chen San. After all, the influence of Shenchuan City was insignificant between the Chen Family Siblings and Wang Tian’an. To stand on an equal footing with them, he must show that he had the capital to be taken seriously. Everything he did was hoping to protect his brothers in Shenchuan City to the greatest extent. After all, this was a grudge between the Chen Family and Wang Tian’an, and he didn’t want his brothers in Shenchuan City to sacrifice too much over someone else’s vendetta.

Now that Chen San had agreed to his terms, the anxiety that Ye Qing had been holding onto also dissipated. He raised his wine bowl, clinked it with Chen San’s, exchanged a smile, and they drank it all in one gulp.

A bowl of wine, a covenant set!

From now on, in the matter of dealing with Wang Tian’an, Ye Qing’s influence will advance and retreat jointly with the Chen Family’s influence, sharing both honor and disgrace!

Chen Si’s face was also full of smiles; she had always wanted her brother to form an alliance with Ye Qing. Now that this matter had finally come to fruition, all her worries vanished. At least, from now on, she and Ye Qing would not stand on opposing sides, and that was enough for her.

Putting down the wine bowl in her hand, Chen San once again turned his head to look at the small grove outside that was now thoroughly ablaze. All around the grove were Ye Qing’s men, who were utterly silent. That meant, there were basically no one escaping from within the grove. The people still inside were very likely to meet a grim fate.

Chen San’s eyes shone with a sharp glint; to be honest, he did not wish for Wang Tian’an to simply die like this. After all, it was Wang Tian’an who had led so many household slaves to band together and wipe out the entire Chen Family. He wanted to personally take this blood debt back from Wang Tian’an. If Wang Tian’an died here, wouldn’t that mean he could no longer seek his revenge personally?

Just as Chen San was intently watching the small grove to see if Wang Tian’an was truly burnt to death, suddenly, from the spot where the ground had collapsed before, several figures ablaze shot out. After they emerged, they threw themselves to the ground and rolled frantically, in a desperate attempt to extinguish the flames on their bodies.

Chen San’s eyes lit up, and he said in a deep voice, ”Someone else has made it out!”

Ye Qing also frowned; in fact, if the trap on this side had not been triggered, causing the ground to collapse, those inside would have had no chance of escaping. The entire grove was on fire, and those inside would surely have been roasted alive. However, with the ground collapse here, this patch was no longer ablaze, and finally, a few people had managed to escape.

But those standing outside were prepared for such an occurrence. Seeing these few people dart out, about a dozen people immediately charged towards them, ready to seize the opportunity to finish off these escapees.

”Make them stop, quick!” Ye Qing urgently turned his head and bellowed at Black Bear, ”They are no match for those guys!”

Black Bear was also very anxious and immediately picked up the walkie-talkie to issue the order. But it was already too late; the two in the lead had already reached those from the Western Province, raising their machetes to strike. However, the figures from the Western Province leapt up, kicked the two assailants to the ground, took their machetes, and with it, brought down the next three who followed.

Although these individuals were severely burned and not numerous, they were all experts brought by Wang Tian’an and were highly skilled. Dealing with these untrained attackers was a walk in the park for them.

Luckily, Sha Men’s members were also nearby. Seeing this turn of events, several from Sha Men immediately rushed over.

”Everyone back off!” Cui Yu shouted loudly. With a flick of his right hand, a strand of silver thread flew out, wrapping around the arm of a person from the Western Province, and he swiftly pulled him over.

The other members of Sha Men also rushed forward, blocking those from the Western Province. However, it was clear that the Western Province’s members had sustained considerable burns, and although their numbers were similar to Sha Men’s, once the fighting started, they were at a disadvantage and unable to withstand Sha Men’s attacks.

Ye Qing heaved a sigh of relief; he had been worried that his dozen or so subordinates would be sacrificed in vain. Thankfully Sha Men’s members were there, which could spare these people a calamity.

At that moment, Chen San was also frowning deeply, watching the melee outside the small woodland. He could see clearly that Wang Tian’an was not among those who had escaped from the woods, and this made him increasingly anxious for Wang Tian’an. If Wang Tian’an died here, then he would truly lose his chance for personal revenge!

While Chen San was fraught with worry, suddenly, Chen Si urgently said, ”Look over there!”

Ye Qing and Chen San immediately looked in the direction she pointed, only to see a figure ablaze rushing out from the other end of the small grove. After this person came out, he did not roll on the ground. Instead, he tore off the coat he was wearing. Strangely enough, the only part of his body that was on fire was this coat. After discarding the coat, not a trace of burn could be found on his body.

Seeing this person, both Ye Qing and Chen San’s expressions changed, because the man was none other than Wang Tian’an.

”He actually carried fireproof clothing made of buffalo hide with him!” Chen San’s eyes gleamed with a sharp light, ”Humph, this Wang Tian’an is indeed lucky. Without this buffalo hide fireproof clothing, he would have never been able to escape!”

Ye Qing, with furrowed brows, also realized that not only was Wang Tian’an lucky, but also very shrewd. The easiest route to escape just now was right where Ye Qing had set the trap. Yet, Wang Tian’an did not choose that way, but instead escaped from a different side. This was because he was very aware that those people from Sha Men had just escaped through that trap—if he had tried to flee that way, he would have definitely been surrounded by Sha Men’s members. Thus, by choosing to escape from this side, he could avoid Sha Men’s people, which would greatly increase his chances of survival!

However, there were five or six of Ye Qing’s men on this side. Seeing Wang Tian’an emerge, they immediately moved to intercept him.

Without waiting for Ye Qing to speak, Black Bear immediately relayed into the walkie-talkie, ”Come back, come back, don’t block him!”

Upon hearing Black Bear’s order, the five or six men paused for a moment, then quickly turned and tried to retreat. But as they had barely taken a few steps back, Wang Tian’an charged directly towards them.

Ye Qing’s expression changed, and he angrily said, ”What is Wang Tian’an, that bastard, trying to do? My men aren’t even blocking him, and he still goes after them?”
