Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing walked into the hall, looked around at the arrangement, and asked: ”Where are our people?”

”According to your orders, Big Brother, everyone has taken their positions.” Mad Dog pulled out a map from the side and said, ”This is the hotel’s blueprint. The locations you marked, Big Brother, I have had people guard them.”

Ye Qing looked at the blueprint, nodding with satisfaction. He had found this blueprint last night, marked a few spots, and asked Mad Dog to arrange his men to these places in advance. These spots were strategically the highest and had the farthest view in the entire hotel, making them the most suitable for surveillance. With these men in place, if Wang Tian’an really sent someone to attack tonight, Ye Qing would be able to receive the news in advance and quickly respond.

The standard for the banquet had been set long ago. During his last visit, Li Lianshan had already announced publicly that Ye Qing was now a co-owner of the hotel. Therefore, Ye Qing’s commands here were as effective as Li Lianshan’s.

It was still the luxurious venue on the top floor, only this time there weren’t as many people as before. Ye Qing and a few others were seated inside, and the place seemed somewhat empty. However, this also perfectly suited discussing matters together.

Ye Qing had arrived two hours early to give the place another thorough observation. This time, the Chen Family had let him choose the location, which was also a test for him. If the situation got too out of hand at his chosen location, even if Ye Qing partnered with the Chen Family, they might not hold him in high esteem in the future. The reason Ye Qing valued this banquet so much was to fight for status for his people as much as possible. Although his strength was far inferior to that of the Chen Family and those from the Western Province, he also wanted to stand on an equal footing with these people, rather than be trampled under their feet.

In the villa where the Chen Family siblings were staying, Chen Si was already ready and could set off for the banquet at any time. However, Chen San showed no signs of leaving. Seeing him like this, Chen Si couldn’t help but say, ”Brother, I just received news that Ye Qing has already arrived at the hotel. Why don’t we also head over earlier? So we won’t keep him waiting too long.”

”Si, why are you in such a hurry?” Aomuhan, lounging on the sofa, languidly said, ”It’s not like you have to wait. Why are you fussing over nothing? Besides, if Third Brother said dinner is at eight, then we should go over at eight. Going too early would make us seem too eager to cooperate. Hmph, we have the initiative now. Did you not see how anxious this Ye Qing is? Arriving two hours early to prepare the place, even if we showed up at midnight, he would definitely wait until midnight, so don’t worry about it.”

Chen Si frowned slightly, glanced at Aomuhan, opened her mouth, but in the end, said nothing and just looked at Chen San.

Chen San spoke indifferently, ”Don’t go too early. Give him some time to prepare. Also, Wang Tian’an from the Western Province is watching that place. We must first see how he has arranged things!”

Hearing what Chen San said, Chen Si immediately understood and nodded, ”Brother, then we’ll just wait until eight to go over.”

”Showing up there at eight is fine,” said Chen San.

”Third Brother, actually, I feel that there is no need for you to show up personally for this matter,” Aomuhan said from the side. ”This surnamed Ye is not any important figure. It would be more than enough face for him if I and Si went together. Moreover, I’ve seen how desperately this kid wants to join forces with us. Even if we don’t show up and just send a subordinate to talk to him, he will still cooperate with us obediently. Without our alliance, Wang Tian’an might flatten his little power before we could even take action!”

Chen Si knitted her brows and gave Aomuhan a cold look, saying, ”I don’t think so. I know Ye Qing very well. His character is the kind that would rather break than bend. Only with sincerest intentions in discussing cooperation can we work well together. If you don’t respect him and try to trample over his people, then he’d rather fight to the death than cooperate with you!”

”That’s exactly what I want.” Aomuhan smiled and said, ”Let him fight with Wang Tian’an first, weaken Wang Tian’an’s strength. Isn’t that killing two birds with one stone?”

Chen Si spoke sternly, ”If we want to cooperate with him to deal with Wang Tian’an, it will just be easier!”

Aomuhan snorted, ”Heh, Si, you think too highly of this surnamed Ye. It’s easy for us to deal with Wang Tian’an; do we even need that small-timer? By what you say, does Third Brother still need the help of this Ye to deal with Wang Tian’an?”

Chen Si gritted her teeth and said, ”Whether I see him too highly or not, everyone knows. Don’t forget what you said last time. What would you do if he managed to walk out of Snake Form Gate alive?”

Aomuhan’s face suddenly changed, and Chen San also turned his head sharply, saying sternly, ”Si!”

Biting her teeth, Chen Si had not intended to bring up the topic just to maintain Aomuhan’s face. But since Aomuhan still belittled Ye Qing, it made her quite unhappy, which led her to remind him of the past.

”You...” Aomuhan pointed at Chen Si, about to burst into anger, when someone happened to rush into the entrance.

”Big brother, Wang Tian’an’s men have made their move, heading towards that hotel. Wang Tian’an is leading the team himself, but Xu Cunxiao did not follow!” The person immediately reported upon entering the door.

Chen San had been worried that Aomuhan and Chen Si would start quarreling, but luckily, this person’s entrance interrupted the conversation, and he quickly followed up: ”How many people have they sent?”

”By the looks of it, there should be more than thirty men!”

”Hmph, this old fox Wang Tian’an, he still holds back, only dispatching less than a third of his forces!” Chen San stood up, speaking loudly, ”Since that’s the case, we should arrange an equivalent number of our own men to head over. Little sister, hurry and gather our forces. Muh Han, you stay at home and pay close attention to Xu Cunxiao’s movements. If there’s any activity from the Western Province, report to me immediately, and be ready to bring reinforcements!”

After Chen San finished speaking, he promptly ushered Chen Si to leave. Aomuhan still wanted to erupt, but with Chen Si gone, he was of course unable to continue, only able to sigh with frustration and say, ”Third Brother, am I not going this time?”

Aomuhan considered Ye Qing a hypothetical enemy every day, and naturally, Chen San would not let him meet Ye Qing. It was on purpose that he had left him behind this time.

Chen San said, ”Wang Tian’an not taking Xu Cunxiao with him means he surely has a backup plan, and we must have someone guarding the home. Muh Han, I can only rest assured if you are here at home.”

This statement, in essence, flattered Aomuhan, which he found quite satisfying. A smile emerged on his face as he nodded and said, ”Alright, no problem. Third Brother, leave home matters to me, rest assured, I will handle everything properly!”

Seeing that Aomuhan was no longer furious, Chen San finally breathed a sigh of relief. He was afraid Aomuhan would cause trouble with Chen Si over this incident, which would have indeed been troublesome.

After giving instructions to Aomuhan, Chen San walked out of the hall, and together with Chen Si, selected thirty people to accompany them. However, he did not hurry to depart, but waited until around 7:30 before heading out, making a beeline for the hotel.

At the hotel, Ye Qing sat waiting for an hour and a half, yet he didn’t have the slightest hint of impatience. The agreed time had not arrived, and if the Chen Family’s people arrived early, that would have made him doubt their strength instead.

Finally, five minutes before eight o’clock, Black Bear went upstairs to report that the Chen Family’s people were already at the hotel entrance.

Ye Qing personally went downstairs and upon reaching the hotel entrance, Chen San and Chen Si, the Chen Family Siblings, just happened to arrive. Ye Qing looked behind and saw that they were accompanied by only five people, with two cars not fully seated. This situation mildly surprised Ye Qing, but after seeing Mad Dog signal him with a glance, Ye Qing understood.

Mad Dog’s men were guarding the highest point of the hotel, and they were well aware of the surroundings. Mad Dog’s signal to Ye Qing meant that there were more than these five men following the Chen Family Siblings; a group of men had not come forward, but were hiding outside. This showed that the Chen Family Siblings were also very cautious and had brought quite a number of people with them.

Ye Qing greeted them with a smile, and upon Chen Si’s introduction, met the renowned Ludong White Horse Chen San for the first time.

Ye Qing learned of some of the Chen Family’s past in Xihang. The Chen Family, much like the former Huangfu Household, once was a powerful family, their strength not much less than that of the current Xihang Shen Family. However, both families fell victim to a massacre during the turmoil twenty years ago. The Huangfu Household was directly invaded and killed, while the Chen Family suffered a rebellion from within by their household slaves, leading to the total annihilation of both families. The Huangfu Household was left with only Huangfu Ziyu, whereas from the Chen Family, only the siblings Chen San and Chen Si survived.

Nevertheless, it has to be said that the orphaned descendants of these great families were also not to be underestimated. For example, Huangfu Ziyu, who escaped from the Shen Family Manor at the age of thirteen and made her way to the Eastern Province. A little girl who then became the absolute ruler of the Eastern Province’s Underground Forces, which is a testament to her formidable power. As for the White Horse of Eastern Shandong, Chen San, he was even more formidable.

Ludong has been known for its Roaring Horsemen since ancient times, and the White Horse of Eastern Shandong is considered the king among these bandits. And this king was far stronger than Huangfu Ziyu, the underground ruler of the Eastern Province. The Ludong Resounding Horse were long-standing bandits, notorious for their ferocity, recognizing no rules, only speaking through strength. To become the White Horse of Eastern Shandong, one must conquer all the Roaring Horsemen forces, which is an incredibly difficult feat.

For many years, the Ludong Resounding Horse operated independently, with deep-seated grudges among each other, and no one was able to become the king of all Roaring Horsemen in Ludong. Yet, Chen San, now in his thirties, managed to become the White Horse, which speaks volumes of his prowess. Even though he often moved through the North, his name was also renowned in the South, known to everyone!
