Urban Martial Saint

Li Wenyuan shook with even greater fear, his eyes darting frantically between Ye Qing and Du Tianyi. However, both Ye Qing and Du Tianyi had a cold gleam in their eyes, looking as though they were ready to kill him at any moment, which only caused Li Wenyuan to feel even more desperate.

”I... I really didn’t...” Li Wenyuan had barely spoken a few words when Ye Qing casually drew a dagger from nearby, frightening Li Wenyuan so much that his face twisted.

”I’ll talk! I’ll talk!” Li Wenyuan hurriedly shouted, ”It was Xu Dingjiang! Xu Dingjiang directed us, he was the one who told us to go after you!”

”Xu Dingjiang?” Ye Qing furrowed his brows, Huangfu Ziyu had mentioned this name just before. It turns out that the same person connected to Li Wenyuan and Shangguan Tian was also him. Did this suggest that Xu Dingjiang was the mastermind?

However, Xu Dingjiang was already dead, how could he possibly be the mastermind? Could there be more to the story?

”Who is this Xu Dingjiang?” Du Tianyi asked in a stern voice, ”What’s his relationship with the people who killed my master?”

”I don’t know about that, he only asked us to work together against Ye Qing.” Seeing the somewhat skeptical look on the faces of Ye Qing and Du Tianyi, Li Wenyuan hurriedly added, ”I’m telling the truth, you can ask Shangguan Tian if you don’t believe me. It was Xu Dingjiang who approached us; at that time, we didn’t dare to go against Mr. Ye because Elder Senior Tie was protecting Ye Qing. But he gave us a time limit of three days, saying that the situation in Shenchuan City would change after that. I truly don’t know what happened during those three days. Anyway, after those three days, news came that Elder Senior Tie was killed. We thought that since Elder Senior Tie was gone, it was time to take action against Ye Qing. Regarding the rest, I really don’t know, but I think... it must have something to do with him!”

Ye Qing and Du Tianyi both frowned, which meant that Xu Dingjiang indeed had something to do with the murder of Tie Yongwen. Du Tianyi’s expression turned icy as he asked in a deep voice, ”What else?”

Li Wenyuan said, ”I really don’t know anything else...”

”You’re lying!” Ye Qing shook his head and said sternly, ”Li Wenyuan, you and Shangguan Tian are not the type to easily trust others, nor would you engage in a fight without certainty. A stranger suddenly asks you to deal with me and you just cooperate without any suspicions? Since you dared to join him in going after me, you must certainly know the details of that person.”

Li Wenyuan’s face instantly turned deathly pale, and he gritted his teeth, ’He said he was sent by Yang Shitao when he came to us. We thought that since Yang Shitao had a vendetta against you that couldn’t be resolved under the heavens, we were on the same side, so... so we cooperated with him. Right, he also had contact with Lin Yaqing of the Lin family!”

”What?” Ye Qing’s face changed. He hadn’t expected this matter to drag the Lin family into it as well.

Li Wenyuan continued, ”I didn’t really believe him, so I sent people to tail him. But this guy was slippery, and my people kept losing him. On the off chance, one of my subordinates saw him and Lin Yaqing enter a room in a secluded hotel, one after the other. I think, there must be some unspeakable secret between these two!”

Ye Qing and Du Tianyi exchanged a look, their expressions both very icy. Ye Qing had already had a big fallout with the Lin family before. He had thought that the Lin family had completely changed their old ways, but now the Lin family was involved again, which made him quite uncomfortable.

”What else?” Du Tianyi asked in a deep voice.

”There’s nothing else, that’s all I know,” Li Wenyuan said with a mournful expression. ”Xu Dingjiang was too cunning, I couldn’t find any information related to him. However, I’m certain that he had someone backing him up, and it could very well be Yang Shitao!”

Ye Qing frowned slightly, he didn’t think Yang Shitao had the ability for such a feat. It was true that Yang Shitao was wealthy, but his methods and courage were insufficient to pull off something this big. The manipulation behind the murder of Tie Yongwen had to be done by no ordinary person!

”Yang Shitao!” Du Tianyi repeated the name slowly, committing it firmly to memory. Since all leads regarding Xu Dingjiang pointed to Yang Shitao, to seek revenge, they had no choice but to find Yang Shitao first.

”Do you know who was behind the bombing of my orphanage?” Ye Qing asked sternly.

”I really don’t know, that’s all the information I have,” said Li Wenyuan.

Ye Qing stared at Li Wenyuan for a while, seeing that he didn’t seem to be lying, and did not pursue the matter further. He took Shangguan Tian aside to ask him some questions, but Shangguan Tian didn’t reply a single word, appearing as if he had really gone insane.

Seeing this, Du Tianyi turned to Ye Qing and said, ”It seems we’ll only know who the real killer is by finding Yang Shitao!”

”I have no idea where Yang Shitao has hidden himself!” Ye Qing nodded as he said.

Du Tianyi looked towards Li Wenyuan, who hurriedly shook his head and waved his hands, saying, ”I really don’t know, I only know that he should have gone to Western Province, I really don’t know anything else.”

”Western Province!?” Ye Qing frowned, he still had quite a few enemies over there. Not to mention others, those who had grudges with the Xikou Fire Butterfly were essentially enemies of his as well. Last time the Fire Butterfly inaugurated his Southern Suburbs Dogfight Arena with a bloody massacre, which also brought Ye Qing quite a bit of hatred.

Du Tianyi then slowly nodded, he had already made his preparations, ready to go to the Western Province and drag Yang Shitao out from hiding. No matter what, he was determined to find out the real culprit behind Tie Yongwen’s death!

”Don’t be anxious yet,” Ye Qing patted Du Tianyi on the shoulder, saying, ”Just now, Miss Huangfu gave me a cassette, saying it contained evidence. Also, Lin Yaqing might know something. If we find her, we might be able to uncover more clues.”

”That’s right!” nodded Du Tianyi, looking at Li Wenyuan and Shangguan Tian by his side, saying, ”What should we do with these two?”

Ye Qing fell silent for a moment, but Li Wenyuan was so frightened that he trembled all over, hastily saying, ”Mr. Ye, I... I know I was wrong, please forgive me, I beg you, I’ll never dare to compete with you again!”

Just as Ye Qing was about to speak, the phone by Li Wenyuan’s side suddenly rang. Li Wenyuan took the call, and after listening for a few moments, his expression drastically changed, and turning his head, he glared at Ye Qing, bellowing, ”Ye Qing, you... you actually sent someone to attack my club!?”

Shangguan Tian had a Qingfeng Club, and Li Wenyuan had a Nine Heavens, which was Li Wenyuan’s most lucrative place. The call Li Wenyuan had just received informed him that Nine Heavens was completely dismantled by Ye Qing’s people. Those who were sent out by Ye Qing didn’t end up going to the Qingfeng Club, but instead attacked his Nine Heavens!

Now Li Wenyuan finally understood what Ye Qing had been plotting. Earlier, Ye Qing’s people had circled around the Qingfeng Club a few times, misleading everyone into thinking he was going to launch an attack there. However, tonight, he deployed a large number of people, drawing both his and Shangguan Tian’s men to the Qingfeng Club in hopes of ambushing Ye Qing. Unexpectedly, Ye Qing did not venture out but came here to find both of them instead. Moreover, Ye Qing’s men didn’t attack the Qingfeng Club at all but instead launched a surprise attack on his Nine Heavens, completely catching them off guard.

Li Wenyuan had sent his men to the Qingfeng Club, which was heavily guarded. However, there were hardly any people left at Nine Heavens, which then suffered an unexpected attack, while nothing happened to the Qingfeng Club. This nearly drove Li Wenyuan to the point of spitting blood in anger.

”Ye, you’re so despicable!” Li Wenyuan growled through clenched teeth.

”All’s fair in war,” Ye Qing coolly looked at Li Wenyuan, saying, ”You have so many people, and I have only these few men. How can I win without employing some strategies?”

Li Wenyuan became even more furious, his eyes almost rolling back in rage. The attack on Nine Heavens meant the strength of the Fu Bang would drop by at least a half. Even if he managed to survive this evening, his Vital Energy would be greatly diminished, making it difficult to regain his former glory!

Seeing his reaction, Du Tianyi couldn’t help but chuckle, saying, ”When you’re out in this world, eventually everything comes back to you. Li Wenyuan, last time you ambushed so many of Ye Zi’s venues, and this time you’ve only lost one in return. You’re already in profit, what are you unsatisfied about?”

Li Wenyuan was so angry he clenched his teeth, but he couldn’t utter another word.

Looking at him in this state, Ye Qing waved his hand and said, ”I’m sparing your life today, but I hope you’ll take this to heart. If you fall into my hands again, I won’t let you go!”

Li Wenyuan didn’t say anything, just gave Ye Qing and Du Tianyi a long, deep look before turning to leave the house with an unsteady gait.

Ye Qing and Du Tianyi hurried over to help Black Bear up. Black Bear was seriously injured, but fortunately, his bones were not damaged, suffering only some internal injuries. Du Tianyi was able to employ Internal Energy Release, and Ye Qing had methods of treating internal injuries through the Acupoint Seeking Technique. Ye Qing shared his techniques with Du Tianyi, who then transferred his Inner Strength into Black Bear’s body, gradually dissolving the stagnated blood and Qi, greatly aiding the recovery of the internal injuries.

”Ah!” At that moment, as Du Tianyi was treating Black Bear’s internal injuries, a scream suddenly emanated from outside. Judging by the voice, it was Li Wenyuan’s.

Ye Qing and Du Tianyi exchanged glances, both unaware of what had happened outside. Ye Qing quickly got up and ran outside, and upon opening the door, he saw Li Wenyuan lying in a pool of blood, covered from head to toe in it. Not far from him stood a slender man, hands covered in blood. This man was one of those who had come with Cui Yu. Ye Qing had seen him fight just now, knowing the man’s abilities were very strong, certainly no less than Li Ruoyuan or He Qinghua!

Ye Qing had not expected that after he spared Li Wenyuan, the latter still wouldn’t make it out of the villa alive. He looked at the bloodied man incredulously, then at Cui Yu not far away, asking in surprise, ”Mr. Cui, what happened here?”
