Urban Martial Saint

After making that call, Liu Changping immediately made a second call to Zhou Bolong.

Having completed both calls, Liu Changping changed his clothes and when he reached the doorway, his driver had already parked the car there waiting for him.

”Boss!” a young man in his twenties approached and asked, ”Should we call and notify Xishan City first?”

”No need!” Liu Changping replied curtly.

The young man said nothing further, opened the car door for Liu Changping to enter, and then sat down from the other side. Although he appeared calm on the outside, inside he was already churning with monstrous waves. As Liu Changping’s secretary, he knew his leader’s mind the best.

Liu Changping was the type who was gentle on the outside but tough on the inside. He usually seemed mild-mannered, and spoke slowly, almost like a nice old man. However, once he made a decision or took something seriously, he would immediately change his demeanor.

This trip to Xishan City late at night was quite rare. Moreover, he had deployed car number one, what did this signify? The use of car number one meant it was a signal that the leader was going for an inspection. In other words, Liu Changping was headed there for official business. But what on earth had happened in Xishan City to make Liu Changping rush over personally in the middle of the night?

Generally, with an official of Liu Changping’s stature, any inspection tour to any location would have a scheduled arrangement in advance, and the location would prepare beforehand. But this time, Liu Changping hadn’t given any notice and just set off directly, speaking so definitively. The secretary was very clear that the Xishan City police department was definitely in for a massive upheaval!

The car left the residential area, and immediately four police cars were deployed, with Liu Changping’s car in the middle. The two police cars in front cleared the way, and the two behind provided protection, heading straight for the freeway.

Car number one on patrol with police cars leading the way was a usual affair!

Liu Changping sat in the car with an exceptionally grave expression, which made the secretary sitting in front also tense up, constantly guessing what Liu Changping really was planning to do.

”Drive faster!” After getting on the freeway, Liu Changping finally spoke up, shocking his secretary even more.

Liu Changping personally urging the driver to speed up, what could be so urgent?

At this moment, at the hospital, Zhang Jun led a group of police officers directly to the door of the hospital room.

Inside the room, the doctors had already fled, none of them had ever seen such a bloody scene. Now, only Old Wang Ba and the fat and thin duo remained in the room, along with Zhou Guiting who was half through surgery on the hospital bed.

Old Wang Ba furrowed his brows; he knew that he hadn’t yet paid the price, and this matter was far from over. As expected, at that moment, Zhang Jun appeared at the door of the hospital room.

”It’s them!” Flathead pointed at the fat and thin duo inside the room and immediately started shouting.

”So it’s these freaks!” Zhang Jun sneered and said, ”These two wastes managed to injure so many of you? Shit, what have you been eating to grow up?”

Flathead was extremely frustrated and said, ”Captain Zhang, you really shouldn’t underestimate them, these two can really fight!”

”Fight my ass!” Zhang Jun waved his hand impatiently and said, ”Get those two out for me first!”

Several police officers walked in immediately, reaching out to grab the fat and thin duo. However, these two weren’t about to let themselves be captured. The skinny one immediately swiped his hand, his curved knife slicing one of the police officers’ arms, who then screamed in agony holding his arm.

The other police officer fared slightly better as he was thrown aside by the fat man grabbing his clothes; both clearly were not the type to cooperate with the police.

Seeing such a scene, Zhang Jun’s eyes almost popped out, while Flathead was visibly excited, repeatedly saying, ”See, I told you, I told you, these guys are creepy and too ruthless!”

”Bastard, daring to attack the police!” Zhang Jun drew his gun from his waist and raised it to aim at the fat man.

The expressions of the fat and thin duo changed when they saw Zhang Jun raising his hand. The skinny one hurled his curved knife, stabbing it into Zhang Jun’s arm.

Zhang Jun screamed in pain as his arm split open, blood flowing freely.

”Husband! Husband! How are you?” Lu Xiaoli immediately asked with concern.

”It hurts! It hurts so much!” Zhang Jun screamed in pain, holding his arm, making Lu Xiaoli feel extremely distressed.

Lu Xiaoli turned to look at the fat and thin duo and shouted, ”You two, daring to harm my husband, I will never let you go!”

Zhang Jun, holding his arm, shouted, ”Why are you wasting words, call dad and ask him to send help!”

Only then did Lu Xiaoli remember this point and quickly took out her mobile phone to call Lu Jiangong. Meanwhile, the remaining two police officers had also been taken down by the fat and thin duo.

The fat man was stepping on a police officer and turned his head in surprise to look at Old Wang Ba, saying, ”Eighth Master, what on earth are you doing this time? How did the cops get involved?”

”Big trouble!” Old Wang Ba frowned, glanced at the two men, and said solemnly, ”Both of you look pretty bad. Be careful tonight, it’s dangerous!”

The two men looked at each other, both looking rather distressed. They had no doubts about Old Wang Ba’s words!

At the same time, in the police department, Lu Jiangong was pacing anxiously in his office. His men hadn’t found Ye Qing at the machinery factory which had made him lose his target momentarily, complicating the situation. If they couldn’t find Ye Qing, the matter would become serious!

Suddenly, the office door was pushed open, and a confidant of Lu Jiangong hurried in, saying, ”Director Lu, we found something!”

”Did you find that bastard?” Lu Jiangong’s spirits lifted.

”No!” The confidant quickly shook his head, saying, ”Lin Yan has run away, and she took many valuables from the villa with her. It seems that she really did leak the information!”

This Lin Yan was indeed Lu Jiangong’s mistress.

”Nonsense, I obviously know that!” Lu Jiangong clenched his teeth and said, ”I damn well need to know where those people with the evidence have gone!”

”We have also found something about this…” The confidant said, ”We checked the people Lin Yan met these past few days, and there was one who looked unfamiliar, not from Xishan City. Moreover, this morning, Lin Yan met this person in a café in the city and handed him a file bag. He’s the most suspicious!”

A cold light flashed in Lu Jiangong’s eyes as he shouted, ”Track this person immediately!”

”We’ve already looked into this person; he’s not from Xishan City. He must have come from Shenchuan City. Moreover, he came here with another person, apparently his father.” The confidant looked at Lu Jiangong and said, ”We’ve basically got his father’s whereabouts under control and can catch him at any time!”

”Is that so?” Lu Jiangong’s spirits soared, saying, ”Then what are we waiting for, arrest him!”

”Director, I think we shouldn’t rush this!” The confidant paused and said in a low voice, ”If we catch his father now, that kid certainly won’t dare to show up, and he might just go all out and send those things directly to the provincial city.”

Lu Jiangong furrowed his brows, his subordinate was thinking very thoroughly. He was silent for a while and then said, ”What do you think we should do about this?”

The confidant was clear in his mind that if he handled this matter well this time, it would definitely be a great achievement. Excited, he said, ”I found that this kid seems to have a few good relationships with people in Xishan City. To make him show up, it’s best for us to pretend we don’t know anything, to catch him off guard. However, we could use a few of his friends to try to draw him out!”

”This is up to you to handle!” Lu Jiangong waved his hand and said, ”No matter the cost, you must capture this person. Understood?”

”Yes!” The confidant paused, looked at Lu Jiangong, and asked in a low voice, ”Director, can we use guns?”

”Nonsense!” Lu Jiangong glared and said, ”Whoever resists, shoot to kill!”

The confidant’s expression changed; he could see that Lu Jiangong was truly furious. Otherwise, how could he, as the deputy director of the municipal police department, utter words like ’shoot to kill’?

Lu Xiaoli’s phone call was very effective; in less than ten minutes, more than twenty armed police officers rushed over. Seeing such a scene, the color drained from the faces of the three inside.

Both the fat man and the thin man were skilled, but fighting more than twenty unarmed people was one thing. Now, facing over twenty guns was entirely different, especially since they were all cornered in this hospital room. The small space made dodging nearly impossible, directly turning them into sitting ducks!

”You two should leave,” Old Wang Ba said with a furrowed brow, gravely, ”You’ve already helped me enough. I can handle things here!”

”Eighth Master, since we’ve come here, we never planned on going back alive!” The fat man still wore his usual smile and said, ”Eighth Master, you move aside. Let us handle these cops!”

Old Wang Ba glanced at the thin man beside him. The thin man didn’t speak but went straight to the door and stood his ground, appearing very resolute.

Seeing the police arriving, Lu Xiaoli, who had initially been hiding, immediately came out, pointed at the three men in the hospital room, and shouted, ”It’s them, capture them all!”

Grimacing and clutching his wrist, Zhang Jun ran out and fiercely said, ”Why capture? Just shoot. Damn it, for attacking the police, shoot them on sight!”

Of course, the police didn’t listen to Zhang Jun, but they were very grave as well, with over a dozen guns aimed at the two men.

”Don’t move, drop your weapons!” the leading officer shouted loudly while directing his men to arrest the fat man and the thin man.

Both the fat man and the thin man obediently placed their weapons on the ground and raised their hands as the officers approached them. But as the officers reached them and were about to handcuff them, both men acted simultaneously, each grabbing an officer and using them as shields against the guns pointed from the other side!
