Urban Martial Saint

Pi Junchao looked at Ye Qing with hopeful eyes, severely triggered by Cui Yu’s words just now. Many members of the Fierce Tiger Gang were being hunted down by members of the Tianqing Gang and Fubang. If no one could save the Fierce Tiger Gang at this time, it would truly be the end of them.

The Fierce Tiger Gang, founded by Pi Junchao’s father, was something he had always wanted to reclaim for himself. However, he had completely lost the ability to do so now. Knowing that Ye Qing had the support of Liu Changping and Zhou Bolong, he realized that Ye Qing’s future was truly limitless. Thus, he considered handing over the Fierce Tiger Gang to Ye Qing!

Despite giving the Fierce Tiger Gang to someone else, at least the gang didn’t collapse, which was his final bottom line!

Ye Qing remained silent for a while and said, ”I never thought about being any gang leader, I just want to run my orphanage well.”

Pi Junchao’s face immediately showed some disappointment, but Ye Qing quickly added, ”However, Li can be the gang leader, he loves doing this kind of thing.”

Pi Junchao knew that the Li Ye Qing referred to was Li Lianshan, one of Ye Qing’s two sworn brothers from Shenchuan City, the other being Zhao Chengshuang.

Given the relationship between Ye Qing and Li Lianshan, if Li Lianshan took control of the Fierce Tiger Gang, Ye Qing would definitely support him from behind. In this way, it wouldn’t be much different from Ye Qing himself being the gang leader.

Having thought these things through, Pi Junchao nodded directly and said, ”Alright, it’s settled then. Mr. Ye, though the Fierce Tiger Gang is now like a street rat, we still hold significant strength after so many years of operation. You bring Li Lianshan over, and I’ll gather a few elder-level figures from the gang, and have them lead everyone to join Li Lianshan. However, the condition is, Li Lianshan must uphold the Fierce Tiger Gang’s banner!”

”You’ll have to discuss that with Li,” Ye Qing paused and said, ”But, I think he probably won’t object!”

Of course, Li Lianshan would not object. He had always dreamt of being a gang leader, especially of a major faction like the Fierce Tiger Gang.

After Li Lianshan arrived and heard Pi Junchao’s offer, he immediately slammed the table in agreement and swore with his hand on his chest, ”Pi Junchao, rest assured. The brothers of the Fierce Tiger Gang are my brothers, Li Lianshan. As long as there’s food for me, there will absolutely be food for the brothers. If I, Li Lianshan, favor anyone unfairly, may the heavens strike me with thunder and I meet a terrible end!”

Hearing Li Lianshan’s resolute oath, Pi Junchao had nothing more to say and immediately called several elders who had been aiding him, handing over the position of gang leader to Li Lianshan.

In fact, Pi Junchao himself was not the gang leader yet. However, he controlled most of the Fierce Tiger Gang’s power. Now that he was ceding this position to Li Lianshan, this power would shift to serve Li Lianshan. That is to say, Li Lianshan was directly inheriting most of the Fierce Tiger Gang’s power.

Naturally, this inheritance would still require a process, taking time to assimilate the members of the Fierce Tiger Gang. But as it was personally designated by Pi Junchao, it also carried some persuasive power.

Seeing Pi Junchao like this, the elders assisting him knew he truly no longer had the ability to lead the Fierce Tiger Gang. And now, as the Fierce Tiger Gang was nearly completely doomed, they needed to find a solid backing to support it. Ye Qing was undoubtedly the best choice now. Therefore, they had no objections to Li Lianshan taking control of the Fierce Tiger Gang, though each felt very somber. After all, the foundation built over so many years was ultimately handed over to an outsider!

With this, Li Lianshan took over the personnel from these elders. Outside, some scattered members of the Fierce Tiger Gang, having received the news, also came to join. Together with Chen Laojiu and others who had already joined Ye Qing, Li Lianshan now essentially controlled half the power of the Fierce Tiger Gang, his strength at least tripled compared to before!

In one day, Li Lianshan was busy greeting the members of the Fierce Tiger Gang, arranging housing for them, and distributing his savings to win their hearts. In fact, these people were lucky to still be alive, who could afford to think beyond that!

After a full day’s efforts, Li Lianshan finally settled all members of the Fierce Tiger Gang. And on this day, Ye Qing, accompanied by Zhao Chengshuang, spent a whole day roaming Shenchuan City.

Currently, Shenchuan City was in major turmoil due to the underground forces. The Tianqing Gang and Fubang joined forces, seizing all of Ye Qing and Li Lianshan’s venues, and also took over all the venues of the Fierce Tiger Gang. Now Ye Qing and Li Lianshan, despite having half the vigor of the Fierce Tiger Gang, had no territory at all and were forced to huddle near the teahouse area, in a very awkward situation.

”The city bureau has a deputy director who belongs to the Ding Family. He completely ignores Director Liu’s orders, openly supporting the Tianqing Gang and Fubang. In such circumstances, I can’t possibly transfer people to help you!” Zhao Chengshuang looked at Ye Qing and sighed, ”After the death of Elder Master Ding, almost all the Ding Family members have started to fight desperately. If this deputy director really goes all out, no one in the bureau can suppress him. Now, I can only keep an eye on him, preventing him from attacking you all. But as for the matters between Tianqing Gang and Fubang, I’m afraid I can’t be of much help to you!”

”It’s okay!” Ye Qing’s expression was calm, showing no trace of sorrow or joy.

Zhao Chengshuang looked at Ye Qing and asked curiously, ”Do you have any plans?”

Ye Qing: ”No!”

”Damn, no plan and you’re still so calm!” Zhao Chengshuang widened his eyes and said, ”I heard that the Xihang Shen Family has already sent people here, and they’ll be in Shenchuan City soon. Ye Zi, the Xihang Shen Family’s target is the tea house. The tea house won’t be able to protect you much longer. Why don’t you guys retreat from Shenchuan City first? I can arrange something. Once that deputy director from the Ding Family falls from power, I’ll help suppress the people from Fierce Tiger Gang and Fu Bang, and then you can come back?”

”No need!” Ye Qing shook his head.

”No need?” Zhao Chengshuang looked at Ye Qing in surprise and said, ”Ye Zi, what exactly are you planning to do? I’m telling you, now is not the time to be stubborn. Even though Director Liu and Commander Zhou are helping you, they can’t openly send police or the military to help you, don’t be overly confident!”

Ye Qing did not respond to Zhao Chengshuang and just stared at a bar outside for a full two minutes before suddenly asking, ”I heard the Tianqing Gang has a private club in Shenchuan City, where is it?”

”Huh?” Zhao Chengshuang paused briefly and said, ”It’s over in the North Suburb, what, are you planning to target this private club? Ye Zi, think it through, that’s the Tianqing Gang’s most profitable venue and also the most tightly guarded. The moment there’s a hint of activity, the Tianqing Gang will get the news immediately, and they’ll send people over. That place is practically in the suburbs. If a fight breaks out there, even the police will take time to arrive, and with the number of people you have, you’re definitely at a disadvantage!”

”Which part of the North Suburb?” Ye Qing looked at Zhao Chengshuang and asked, ”Can you take me there to have a look?”

”Damn, you’re really thinking of targeting that place?” Zhao Chengshuang widened his eyes and said, ”Ye Zi, I’m telling you the truth, you shouldn’t...”

”Take me to see it!” Ye Qing cut off Zhao Chengshuang.

Zhao Chengshuang stared at Ye Qing for a while, eventually accepting that he couldn’t change Ye Qing’s mind and reluctantly drove towards the North Suburb.

The Tianqing Gang’s private club, called Qingfeng Club, was located thirty miles north of Qingfeng Town in the North Suburb of Shenchuan City. Although the surroundings were very secluded, the Tianqing Gang had turned it into a luxurious villa community, with three tall buildings that were extremely conspicuous. This place was claimed to be a paradise for men, even the girls serving dishes were college beauties, indicating the high class of the interior.

Qingfeng Club was Tianqing Gang’s most profitable venue, but the consumption inside was not all there was to it. What was crucial was that the club attracted the wealthiest people from Shenchuan City and even nearby cities. Places where the wealthy gather tend to generate various business activities. Qingfeng Club provided facilities and assistance for these businessmen’s dealings and also took a portion of their earnings, which was where their real profit came from.

Therefore, the Tianqing Gang regarded Qingfeng Club as vital, just like the Fierce Tiger Gang’s Southern Suburbs Dogfight Arena.

Zhao Chengshuang drove, and as they had just made half a round around Qingfeng Club, two cars quietly followed them, clearly belonging to Qingfeng Club.

”Damn, even daring to follow me!” Zhao Chengshuang cursed and casually hung a siren on the car, sounding it. The two cars behind immediately slowed down considerably, distancing themselves from his car.

”See, this is Qingfeng Club!” Zhao Chengshuang said, ”The Tianqing Gang keeps a very tight watch here. Maybe you shouldn’t target this place after all!”

Ye Qing remained silent, allowing Zhao Chengshuang to take him around the Qingfeng Club twice, observing the entire place from start to finish, before asking Zhao Chengshuang to take him back to the city.

At the same time, over at Qingfeng Club, someone immediately relayed the news to Gang Leader Shangguan Tian.

Shangguan Tian was sitting with Li Wenyuan. Since Ye Qing returned to Shenchuan City, the two had become even more closely connected. They already knew about Ye Qing helping Liu Changping find his daughter and were very wary of the now even more formidable Ye Qing. They kept a close watch on every move he made, fearing Ye Qing might suddenly strike at them.

Hearing that Zhao Chengshuang drove Ye Qing around Qingfeng Club twice, Shangguan Tian immediately furrowed his brow and said in a heavy tone, ”What does he mean by this? Is he really planning to target Qingfeng Club?”

Li Wenyuan gently tapped his teacup and said, ”Guess, could this be a diversion tactic from him?”

Shangguan Tian looked at Li Wenyuan, his brow furrowing more tightly, also puzzled. Logically, if Ye Qing really wanted to ambush Qingfeng Club, he wouldn’t need to scout the place so openly. This act made it somewhat obvious, almost as if he were trying to cover something else up!
