Urban Martial Saint

Li Wenyuan guessed correctly, Ye Qing was indeed employing a strategy to lure the tiger away from the mountain. However, Shangguan Tian was too worried about his Qingfeng Club, and ultimately fell for Ye Qing’s scheme.

In fact, Li Wenyuan had his own agenda too. He wanted to take this opportunity to crush Ye Qing completely, so he sent people to assist Shangguan Tian. However, he never anticipated that everything Ye Qing did was actually a performance for them. Ye Qing’s real target was he and Shangguan Tian!

Inside Shangguan Tian’s villa, Shangguan Tian and Li Wenyuan were sitting together, anxiously waiting for any news from the Qingfeng Club.

Ye Qing had made no moves the previous night, which baffled them. However, they had gathered most of their men the night before, preventing them from sleeping, always on guard for a possible sudden attack by Ye Qing. But in the end, Ye Qing made no moves at all last night, which exhausted many of their men. Although some rested during the day, who can be inactive during the day? Most of them were not in good spirits.

That night, they dared not wait for Ye Qing to make a move, so they allowed some of their men to rest. Because if Ye Qing did not act tonight, then they would be waiting in vain. If this stalemate continued, and if Ye Qing decided to wait five or six days before making a move, by then their men might collapse from exhaustion without Ye Qing needing to lift a finger.

However, Ye Qing suddenly acted that night, catching both leaders off guard. With many of their men resting, they couldn’t mobilize forces immediately. Fortunately, they were strong enough, and gathering all the remaining men should be sufficient to handle Ye Qing. The only problem was that within the city, both gangs had few men available, which slightly unsettled them.

”Gang Leader Li, why don’t we go over there together?” Shangguan Tian looked at Li Wenyuan and asked in surprise. He actually meant to go with his men to the Qingfeng Club, firstly because having many hands could protect them, and secondly, they could personally supervise the battle. However, Li Wenyuan had dismissed this idea, which he found quite perplexing.

Li Wenyuan smiled faintly, shaking his head, ”Gang Leader Shangguan, Ye isn’t a fool. Since he dares to attack your Qingfeng Club, he definitely knows our situation here. He might even have other arrangements. So, even if we send many people over, the Qingfeng Club might not be absolutely safe. Moreover, I suspect Ye’s real target is not your Qingfeng Club; he probably wants to lure us both over there.”

Shangguan Tian frowned slightly, ”You mean, Ye Qing might have set a trap at my Qingfeng Club?”

Li Wenyuan said, ”We can’t be unprepared for these things, Ye is very cunning. Gang Leader Shangguan, you must not underestimate him!”

Shangguan Tian, still frowning, said in a heavy tone, ”If Ye Qing’s real target is us, then it’s even more dangerous not to move with our men. So many men around us, that’s what’s truly safe. Now, with just a few of us left here, it has become more dangerous!”

”That’s not necessarily true!” Li Wenyuan shook his head, ”Gang Leader Shangguan, let me put it this way. If Ye did set a trap there, and we decided to follow, he could simply dig a pit and we would probably be doomed. But here, at your villa, this is your own place, there won’t be any traps. Besides, Ye has already deployed all his available men to the Qingfeng Club. What could he do to us now here in Shenchuan City?”

Shangguan Tian said, ”You forgot, Ye himself is immensely powerful. If he sneaks back here quietly, the two of us might not be able to stop him!”

”Hahaha...” Li Wenyuan laughed loudly, ”Gang Leader Shangguan, do you think I haven’t considered that? I’m staying here with you today precisely to wait for Ye to come. If he really dares to come, then today, this villa will be his grave!”

”Ah?” Shangguan Tian was momentarily stunned, looking at Li Wenyuan in astonishment, ”What preparations do you have?”

Li Wenyuan smiled faintly, and did not answer Shangguan Tian’s question, appearing very confident.

”Gang Leader Li, even if you’ve brought some experts to help, I still think this isn’t very secure,” Shangguan Tian said gravely. ”Don’t forget, the people from the teahouse are helping Ye. Can the people you found possibly contend with the teahouse?”

”Gang Leader Shangguan, you’re overthinking it!” Li Wenyuan shrugged, ”If the teahouse really wanted to deal with us, how many lives we have wouldn’t be enough for them to take. If the teahouse really intended to help Ye in this matter, would Ye need to resort to all these tricks?”

Li Wenyuan’s words enlightened Shangguan Tian, who slowly nodded, ”You make a lot of sense. It seems the teahouse only provides shelter for Ye and doesn’t really want to help him.”

As he spoke, a cold sneer appeared on Shangguan Tian’s face, ”Gang Leader Li, I hope your people are truly capable. If we kill Ye Qing tonight, we can both rest easy in the future!”

Li Wenyuan smiled faintly and nodded. Shangguan Tian did not notice the fleeting murderous intent in Li Wenyuan’s eyes. For him, killing Ye Qing was only the first step, because to dominate Shenchuan City, Shangguan Tian was actually his biggest obstacle!

At one in the morning, Ye Qing, Tian Yi, and Black Bear had already sneaked to the outside of Shangguan Tian’s villa. The villa was brightly lit, but there were no guards outside, which slightly surprised Ye Qing. Although he had lured Shangguan Tian and Li Wenyuan’s men away, Shangguan Tian was not someone to be careless, so how could there be no one protecting him?

”Be careful, there might be trouble inside!” Ye Qing whispered a warning to Du Tianyi and Black Bear.

Du Tianyi and Black Bear nodded, and the trio followed Ye Qing’s earlier plan, entering the villa’s courtyard via three different paths.

Ye Qing entered by climbing over the front gate. Among the three, Ye Qing and Du Tianyi were the strongest, while Black Bear was the weakest. Therefore, Ye Qing had Black Bear climb over the wall from the side, and Du Tianyi entered from the back of the yard.

After climbing over from the front, there were two men patrolling the yard, who were smoking together at the moment. Ye Qing stealthily approached them and suddenly subdued them by covering their mouths and knocking them to the ground. With a twist of their necks, he took them down without making a sound.

Gang Leader Shangguan’s villa was quite large, and as Ye Qing walked along the path, he encountered three groups of people, all of whom he dealt with swiftly and efficiently. After circling the front yard’s swimming pool, Ye Qing finally saw the house.

Shangguan Tian must have spent a fortune on decorating this villa, with uniform floor-to-ceiling windows that were brightly lit inside. It looked beautiful and luxurious, but it also allowed a clear view of the interior.

Ye Qing hid by the swimming pool and scoped out the situation inside the hall. Totaling six people were in the hall, among them, Shangguan Tian and Li Wenyuan were chatting on a sofa, while four men were playing cards on the other side, likely the personal bodyguards of Li Wenyuan and Shangguan Tian. Judging by their looks, these four men were not weak, otherwise, Li Wenyuan and Shangguan Tian wouldn’t have been so composed.

After surveying the hall, the time agreed upon with Du Tianyi and Black Bear was almost upon them. Ye Qing took a deep breath and walked along the path by the swimming pool to the front door, knocking without hesitation.

Hearing the noise, one of the men playing cards inside immediately stood up and said, ”Who is it?”

Ye Qing didn’t reply but knocked twice more. This time, Shangguan Tian and Li Wenyuan also looked over.

”Damn it, who is it!” the man asked again, but Ye Qing still didn’t reply, just knocked twice more.

This caused a slight change in the expressions of everyone inside, especially Shangguan Tian and Li Wenyuan, who exchanged glances and visibly tensed up.

The man turned to look at Shangguan Tian and Li Wenyuan, and Li Wenyuan nodded at him, signaling him to open the door. Meanwhile, he himself stepped back slightly, his right hand already dipping into his pocket to pull out a pager.

Shangguan Tian was more nervous because he did not know who exactly Li Wenyuan had arranged to be here. However, seeing Li Wenyuan’s calm demeanor, he felt somewhat reassured. If this old fox was here with him, then his preparations would surely be correct, as the old fox wouldn’t gamble with his own life!

With Li Wenyuan’s permission, the man went straight to the door ready to open it. Just then, a loud crash came from the rear window as someone hurled a large rock through it, shattering the glass.

Everyone turned to look, and a man as big as a tower climbed in through the window. The window was already large, but for him, it still seemed a bit cramped.

This man was none other than Black Bear!

Everyone was shocked, even the man who was about to open the door was stunned. At that moment, the door was suddenly pushed open, knocking the man to the ground.

Everyone turned again, only to see Ye Qing walking in from the doorway. This surprised everyone even more. The door was clearly locked, and the man hadn’t had the chance to open it yet, how did Ye Qing get in?

What these people didn’t know was that Ye Qing had been specially trained in lock-picking during his time in the special forces. Otherwise, what would you do if a door blocked your way while dealing with terrorists?

Ye Qing had knocked earlier to divert their attention, giving Black Bear the chance to charge in. Seeing Black Bear rush in, he quickly followed and opened the door, positioning themselves to surround and corner everyone inside.
