Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing suddenly laughed and scanned the Zhang family members surrounding him, saying, ”What? Are you planning to beat me up as a group?”

”Ye, I know you can fight—but no hero can withstand the numbers, and moreover...” Zhang Jun suddenly drew a gun on Ye Qing and said coldly, ”No matter how tough you are, are you tougher than the gun in my hand?”

Seeing the gun, Ye Qing was furious. Today, it was Zhang Jun and his men who had shot and severely injured Old Wang Ba and the skinny and fat duo. Ye Qing had been wanting to settle scores with Zhang Jun for a while, and now Zhang Jun was threatening him with a gun—wasn’t that a reminder for Ye Qing?

Ye Qing crossed his arms and said coldly, ”What is this, planning on forcing a robbery?”

”You forced me into this!” Zhang Jun shouted angrily, ”What does my affair with Tingting have to do with you? Why are you holding our agreement? Hand over the agreement quickly or my bullets won’t be selective!”

”Hmph, I don’t believe you dare to shoot!” Ye Qing said coldly, ”If you shoot here, I doubt you’ll live much longer either!”

”Then you can try!” Zhang Jun said coldly, ”Without Tingting, living holds no meaning for me anymore. If you want to fight it out, I can accompany you on your journey!”

Ye Qing frowned; this Zhang Jun was truly shameless. Clearly, he was desperate not to get a divorce now that Zhou Guiting’s status had changed, yet he made it sound so righteous.

Ye Qing said coldly, ”The agreement isn’t with me; I’ve already given it to Director Liu. If you want it, you can ask Director Liu!”

”Don’t try to deceive me!” Zhang Jun brandished his gun.

”If you don’t believe it, come and search me!” Ye Qing stepped forward, Zhang Jun hurriedly stepped back and said urgently, ”Stop, don’t move!”

”I won’t move then!” Ye Qing stopped and said, ”If you don’t believe me, you can come and search!”

”Hmph, trying to trick me?” Zhang Jun gave a cold laugh and turned to two of his brothers, saying, ”You two, go and search him!”

The two immediately approached and began to search Ye Qing without any courtesy. However, before their hands could touch Ye Qing, he suddenly reached out, grabbed one of them, and pulled him in front of himself.

”What are you doing! What are you doing!” The Zhang family members’ faces changed drastically, and Zhang Jun urgently said, ”Let go of my brother, or I’ll shoot! Did you hear that, let go of my brother!”

”Shoot then!” Ye Qing shielded himself with Zhang Jun’s brother and said coldly, ”Let’s see who dies first!”

”You...” Zhang Jun looked at his brother, unsure of what to do for a moment.

Ye Qing didn’t give him a chance to think, shielding himself tightly with Zhang Jun’s brother and gradually advancing toward Zhang Jun.

The other members of the Zhang family hurried over to try to stop Ye Qing, but in terms of fighting, who could match Ye Qing? Holding onto Zhang Jun’s brother with one hand, he freed his right hand and quickly knocked down several of them. Meanwhile, Zhang Jun tried to shoot several times, but the scene was too chaotic, and he couldn’t properly aim at Ye Qing.

After knocking down those people, Ye Qing continued to advance toward Zhang Jun using the brother as a shield. Zhang Jun, panic-stricken and flushed, kept shouting urgently, ”Stop, I will really shoot, do you believe I will? If you don’t stop, I’m really going to shoot!”

Ye Qing ignored him and kept pushing forward with Zhang Jun’s brother. However, when they were less than ten meters away from Zhang Jun, a gunshot suddenly rang out. Ye Qing felt the body in front of him shake violently, and a great force pushed him to involuntarily take a step back, changing his expression dramatically.

Zhang Jun had actually dared to shoot!

His shot had not hit Ye Qing but had hit his own brother. If Ye Qing hadn’t been holding on to his brother, he would have certainly fallen by now!

”Junzi, what are you doing!” Madam Zhang let out a frenzied yell.

At that moment, Zhang Jun’s expression turned extremely grim as he aimed the gun at Ye Qing and fired a second shot. Yet again, Ye Qing kept dragging his brother; the bullet hit the brother again. Yet Zhang Jun, relentless, fired a third, fourth, and fifth shot, until his brother was bloody all over.

”Third Brother!” Madam Zhang wailed, leaving the Zhang family members around her stunned. Who could have imagined Zhang Jun would heartlessly shoot his own brother? Honestly, even Ye Qing didn’t see it coming. Fortunately, none of the bullets hit Ye Qing.

Madam Zhang rushed forward and threw herself on her son, crying hysterically, ”Junzi, how could you be so cruel? He’s your brother, how could you shoot at him? How could you kill him? He may not be your biological brother, but you grew up together!”

”No one can stop me!” Zhang Jun’s eyes were bloodshot as he stared fixedly at Ye Qing, his throat emitting an almost insane growl, ”No one can stop me! No one can stop me!”

Ye Qing frowned. Zhang Jun looked like he had gone mad. Continuing like this with a gun in his hands, he was truly a dangerous person.

Seeing Madam Zhang standing in front of Zhang Jun, Ye Qing seized the opportunity and rushed toward Zhang Jun.

Zhang Jun also saw Ye Qing coming and tried to push his mother away to shoot at Ye Qing. Realizing it was too late to grab the gun, Ye Qing lunged forward, bringing both Madam Zhang and Zhang Jun to the ground.

The moment they hit the ground, a gunshot rang out again. Everyone at the scene jumped, looking around to see who had been shot.

Ye Qing didn’t feel any pain, so he didn’t care. None of these people from the Zhang family were good, so it didn’t matter who got shot. He reached out and snatched the gun from Zhang Jun’s hand, then swung a punch that left Zhang Jun bloody and moaning, his face on the ground, unable to even scream.

With the gun in his hand, Ye Qing finally breathed a sigh of relief. Zhang Jun had seemed crazed, and who knew how many people he could have hurt with the gun. It was one thing to hurt members of the Zhang family, but innocent bystanders would have been a real trouble.

”Mom! Mom!” At this moment, Zhang Xia suddenly screamed and threw herself on her mother. Madam Zhang now lay on the ground, her chest soaked in blood, her breathing weak. It turned out, Zhang Jun had shot his own mother!

The other members of the Zhang family crowded around, and seeing Madam Zhang in this condition, they became furious.

”Zhang Jun, are you even human!” one of Zhang Jun’s brothers rushed forward, pinned him to the ground, and while slapping him yelled, ”She’s our brother, our mother! How could you shoot and kill your own family, what makes you different from a beast?”

”Junzi, how could you do this?” Zhang Xia cried bitterly, saying, ”She’s our mother, how could you shoot at mom!”

The members of the Zhang family surrounded Zhang Jun and cursed at him, while Zhang Jun curled up on the ground, crying inconsolably. He had been on the verge of breakdown, desperately trying to force Ye Qing to hand over the divorce agreement. He really wanted to reconsider and maintain his marriage with Zhou Guiting. So, in a moment of rashness, he had disregarded everything. Now, without the agreement and having become a murderer of his own family, his life was truly over!

The members of the Zhang family cried inconsolably in this box. Now, everyone regretted it, but was regret useful at this point? When they had signed the divorce papers, they had been very decisive. Now, trying to get those divorce papers back, how could that be possible?

Ye Qing made a call, and before long, a group of police officers entered and took all the Zhang family members away. Zhang Jun’s brother had already died, and Zhang Jun, who had shot his own brother, was now facing the death penalty, an inescapable fate. As for the other members of the Zhang family, they were also in trouble. They had attempted to murder Ye Qing on the road, a crime that, with Liu Changping’s personal intervention, meant they were likely to spend years in prison.

Actually, this was also a punishment for their tormenting of Zhou Guiting. Good and evil are repaid in the end; retribution may be delayed, but it arrives!

Returning to his rented house, Ye Qing finally slept peacefully through the night. Actually, since Tie Yongwen was killed, Ye Qing had hardly slept well, because there was too much in Shenchuan City that he couldn’t let go of. But today, after learning about Liu Changping’s identity, he felt much more at ease. At least, returning to Shenchuan City, he had a strong backer and could boldly do what he wished!

The next day early in the morning, Ye Qing had breakfast at Lin Dade’s house and was about to head to the hospital. At the mouth of the alley, several cars drove up, all carrying Dongzhou plates. Among the two cars, one was the top car from the provincial office, and the other was the top car from the Provincial Military Region. Without guessing, it was clear who had arrived!

Lin Dade, having seen the situation at the hospital the previous night, vaguely knew that Zhou Guiting’s matter was resolved, but still did not know the specifics. Seeing some police officers getting out of the cars, he couldn’t help worrying, and whispered to Ye Qing, ”Young Brother Ye, I... I think something is wrong here, shouldn’t you... maybe hide first?”

”Yeah!” Lin Dade’s wife, Wang Cui, also whispered from the side. This couple was quite decent.

”Hide from what? They’re not police from Xishan City, there’s no need to hide!” Ye Qing said with a light smile, pointing at the cars ahead, ”You see who that is?”

From Liu Changping’s car, a woman stepped out, and it was none other than Zhou Guiting. She wore a simple, elegant dress, and although her face still showed signs of weariness, she looked spirited. Zhou Guiting had always been quite beautiful, but her lack of care and poor clothes had hidden her charm. Now, dressed nicely and tidied up a bit, she exhibited the grace of a lady, leaving Lin Dade and his wife stunned.

Zhou Guiting stepped out of the car, and immediately following her, a little girl dressed in a pristine white dress, looking like an angel, jumped out—it was Xiao Ding Ding.
