The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Shu Yu and the other person finished dinner at the Lu family, took a walk in the courtyard, and then slowly walked back to the Meng family.

These were their rare leisurely days; after returning home on the third day of the wedding, they would probably get busy.

After all, Zhenglu Academy is about to start enrolling on the 25th. Speaking of which, Shu Yu couldn’t help but be curious, ”Haven’t the two teachers arrived yet?”

The other teachers who were invited have already arrived in Jiangyuan County and even attended their wedding the other day, but the two great scholars have not shown up yet.

Meng Yunzheng, holding her hand, said helplessly, ”They should have arrived, but they probably don’t plan to make an appearance yet. However, they will definitely show up before school starts.”

”After school starts, you have to go to the southwest. How have you arranged things for the academy here? Both teachers are highly respected individuals. If you let either one of them manage the academy, the other might not be happy.”

Meng Yunzheng said with a laugh, ”Who said we have to let them manage the academy? While they indeed have profound knowledge and have achieved such accomplishments because they are so dedicated to their studies, people like them would much rather steer clear of the tedious affairs of managing an academy. None of them wants to get involved.”

Shu Yu nodded knowingly, ”True, not everyone has both academic and management skills like you.”

Meng Yunzheng, ”...” Getting praised by his wife invisibly is the deadliest.

He couldn’t help but tighten his grip on Shu Yu’s hand, ”Don’t worry, the establishment of Zhenglu Academy has been the work of Master Wen from the start. He is most familiar with the various matters of the academy and will manage it. As for the two teachers, they will only focus on the students who come to seek their guidance. Whether they choose to teach someone or not, that’s entirely up to them.”

Meng Yunzheng doesn’t intend to interfere much. These two, having gained such reputation, are blessed in their scholarly pursuits and are wise people. As long as they abide by the academy’s rules, they can teach whomever they want, whenever they want, and even choose their students themselves.

As they talked, they returned to the Meng family. As soon as they stepped inside, Meng Yunzheng was taken away by Uncle Meng to discuss some matters.

Shu Yu went to see Meng Pei and then took Ying Xi back to the room.

Who would have thought that upon entering, she would see Ying Xi with an ever-present smile and an irrepressible expression of joy?

Shu Yu waved her hand in front of Ying Xi, ”What good news did you hear?”

Ying Xi immediately snapped back, giggled, and whispered, ”Miss, I’m going to be an aunt.”

Aunt?

Shu Yu was surprised, ”Hua Xian is pregnant?”

”Yes, yes.” Ying Xi nodded repeatedly, excited as if she were the one having a baby, ”Sister-in-law said she was a bit worried because there had been no news, but it happened all of a sudden. Before long, the Lin family will have a new addition.”

”The Lin Family?”

”Big brother said that the Ying Family raised us with kindness, but later faced a great disaster, and now we don’t know where the children of the Ying Family are or if they are safe. At that time, it was my stepfather’s family who collected my mother’s remains, so my brother and I still keep the surname Ying. In the future, when passing through Huajiang Prefecture, we will also visit their graves. Although my brother and I have the surname Ying, when the child is born, we will have him change back to the Lin surname, and if the opportunity arises, we will take him to visit his paternal and maternal grandparents.”

Shu Yu understood, ”As long as you know your own mind.”

”Miss, I want to take a day off tomorrow morning to buy things for my future nephew.”
