The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Shu Yu has lived two lives, rich in theoretical knowledge, but truly a novice in practice. Throughout, she was guided by someone equally rich in theory but self-taught, gradually gaining proficiency, floating and sinking.

On June 20th, she became Meng Yunzheng’s wife, and from then on, they would walk through life hand in hand, growing old together.

The next day, when Shu Yu woke up, it was already daylight.

She blinked her eyes and looked at the man sleeping beside her, her mind momentarily blank.

At the slightest movement, Meng Yunzheng awoke.

”Morning.” He was in a great mood, Shu Yu could tell, his face revealing satisfaction.

If he went out with such an expression, what would others not understand?

Thinking of this, Shu Yu reached out and covered his face.

Meng Yunzheng was taken aback, and leaned in to kiss her.

Shu Yu turned over and dodged inside, he wrapped her waist and brought her back, ”What are you hiding for?”

”Don’t move, don’t move, my waist is sore.”

”Shall I give you a massage?”

Shu Yu glared at him, ”Do you still have the nerve to laugh?” She considered herself to have decent physical strength and a good constitution, but compared to a werewolf who had been yearning for her flesh for a long time, she felt truly inferior, nothing but a lamb waiting to be slaughtered.

Meng Yunzheng also knew he had gone a bit overboard last night, and immediately started giving her a massage, though as he massaged, his hands began to misbehave.

Shu Yu, ”...” A man who’s tasted meat is indeed frightening.

”We should get up, we have to go serve tea to my father.”

Immediately, Xia Yan’s voice came from outside the door, ”Young Master, are you awake?” He had heard movements inside and spoke up.

Meng Yunzheng raised his head, ”Hmm.”

Xia Yan quickly said, ”Lord has sent word earlier that you don’t need to serve tea; he went out early this morning.”

Shu Yu and Meng Yunzheng exchanged a glance, ”Out? What is he doing going out so early?”

”Lord said that in the past few days with the household busy with the wedding, there was no opportunity to take Second Lord’s family around. Now that there is finally some spare time, he’s taking them out of the city to see Zhenglu Academy and the sunflower field. Lord said you were also exhausted yesterday, so just rest well at home, and he’ll give the new bride’s meeting gift upon his return.”

”Got it.”

Meng Yunzheng looked at Shu Yu amusedly, and she chuckled awkwardly, ”Father really is... thoughtful.”

”It’s hard to refuse father’s kindness, so why don’t we sleep a bit longer?”

”No, I want to get up.” If she continued to sleep, it’s uncertain if she would have the face to go out and face the servants’ speculation, but she certainly couldn’t handle this man who’s tasted the sweetness.

Meng Yunzheng regretfully lay flat on the bed, and after a while, turned sideways to embrace her, ”What do you plan to do today?”

”I don’t know.” On the second day of her wedding, Shu Yu also didn’t want to plunge into busy work.

Yet if asked if there’s anything to do, it seemed vague and hard to articulate something specific.

Meng Yunzheng leaned closer and kissed her, ”There’s a bamboo forest on the south side of the courtyard, in this weather, it’s quite cool over there. How about, after breakfast, we go there to relax? I’ll perform a sword dance for you.”

Shu Yu’s eyes lit up, ”Sounds good.”

”Alright, I’ll have Xia Yan set up a couch there later, you can simply lie down.”

His thorough consideration made Shu Yu happy, she lifted her head to kiss him.

And then... he pressed her into the quilt, pinning her down with kisses, almost making her unable to catch her breath.

Fortunately, amidst the playful noise, both of them managed to get dressed, prepared, and slowly walked out of the room.
