The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1031: Chapter 1031: The Lu Family’s Studio

Lu Erbai was very happy. This house was renovated by him bit by bit, and now seeing the family’s surprise, he was more excited than anyone else.

He was familiar with the house, so he led everyone around, visiting each place.

”This side is the inverted house. The rooms in the inverted house are about the same size and are for the servants to live in. There are rooms for individuals and also for families. Our family doesn’t have many servants, so there are quite a few empty rooms.”

Everyone looked at several rooms, and they were quite large. A family living here could divide the space into two private rooms. Individual accommodations were like dormitories, with double rooms or large communal sleeping areas.

Lu Dasong and Madam Li saw these for the first time and felt that the rooms for the servants were even better than their own.

Lu Erbai continued onward; the front yard was a place for receiving guests and handling business.

Since the Lu family all have their own endeavors, the layout of the house was different from typical households.

Things like the main room, side rooms, east and west wings, they were practically indistinguishable.

Lu Erbai had to do woodwork, so the left wing was specially made into a workshop for him. Of course, he wouldn’t do any noisy work at home, but he would occasionally draw plans, read books, and carve small objects, all without making any noise, but it was a personal space for him to fully unleash his creativity.

Madam Ruan and Shuyou made clothes and had two rooms specifically for storing samples. When they had inspiration, they could discuss patterns in these rooms.

Shu Yu had a specially dedicated big study and a large reception room; she was involved in many things. Once the sunflowers were planted, she would have to figure out how to roast melon seeds and extract oil, and also hire a steward and staff.

The reception room was specifically for meeting guests, balancing accounts, and occasionally holding meetings.

There was also Ah Rui and Ah Ning, both with their own studies.

Even the old lady had a room specially for her dolls.

Everything was meticulously arranged, the eldest and third branches marveled continuously.

This was just the front yard; the middle courtyard of the quadrangle courtyard was planted with several trees and rows of potted plants.

After passing by the main wife’s quarters, at the back was the rear house.

The rear house was close to the backyard, so it served as guest rooms, with plenty of rooms.

Lu Erbai said to Lu Dasong and others, ”Today is a good day for moving in, eldest brother and sister-in-law should stay here overnight.”

On the first day of moving, it was important to warm the house and add some liveliness.

Lu Dasong was certainly willing, and Madam Li was slightly excited. The house looked truly wonderful, and she wanted to stay here permanently.

Lu Sanzhu immediately added, ”Second brother, our family will stay here today too. Your new house is so big, it’s more lively with more people. Tonight, us brothers can have some drinks, do some candlelight talks, how about it?”

You’ve really arranged everything quite clearly.

Lu Erbai chuckled, happily nodding his head.

Since both eldest and third branches were staying, naturally the fourth sister’s family would join too.

As they spoke, the group walked past the Gate of Drooping Flowers and entered the backyard.

The backyard was truly the living area for the Lu family’s second branch, and it was much larger than the front yard.

Not far away, the pond was already filled with water, and the lotus had been transplanted. At this time, the buds were just starting to emerge.

Ah Ning excitedly ran to the middle bridge and waved to Xiaozhen and the others, ”Come quickly, there are fish here.”

There were quite a few children from the various branches; except for Quanquan, who needed someone to hold his hand, the rest ran over to look.
