My Alleged Husband

Chapter 1937: Chapter 1732: Tears of Happiness

Everyone has painful memories, as well as memories that bring joy.

”Child, actually I’m not overwhelmed with work, nor am I as busy as you imagine. All I want is for your family to be happy and joyful, and for your mother to regain her health. Perhaps all of this seems like a fantasy to you now, and you won’t believe a single word I say.

Child, can you try to trust your father a little more, even just a bit? You should believe that no matter where or when, I would never harm my wife in any way.

Perhaps in your eyes, every word your father says is untrustworthy, maybe because I’ve never kept my promises. But do you understand? These years I’ve loved your mother so much, I’ve sacrificed many things for her. Yet whatever your mother wants, I’ve done my utmost to give it to her. Isn’t that enough? What more do you want me to do for your mother?

I don’t want to say anything. I don’t have the right to comment on your mother, or say she’s ungrateful. Everyone has moments of greed, everyone wants more of what they have. But not everyone is a Saint; is it truly better to get more of what one desires? Will these things, once obtained, stay securely in hand forever and never slip away? That’s impossible!”

”Dad, why do you still think that every word I say is driven by selfishness? Haven’t you understood the true meaning behind my words? Can you stop distorting my words so decisively, stop twisting the facts time and again, and stop evaluating everyone’s life by your defined standards? Everyone’s path is genuinely different, shouldn’t we all settle peacefully in our own ways? Why exhaust everyone? Why confuse and bewilder everyone repeatedly?

You shouldn’t think about anything right now. What you should think most about is how to take good care of your mother, and make sure she can live healthily. Every action you take should make your family feel happy and joyful. But if you keep approaching each person with suspicion, do you think your mother can truly be happy? Can her illness suddenly improve? Even if her condition improves, would she end up alone again? Since you’ve already said so, if I don’t have time, you can come here to accompany her, then remember what you’ve said today.

Child, it’s really not easy for this family to make it to where we are today, relying on our efforts and everyone’s support to achieve what we have now. Why treat everyone with such suspicion?

Even now, you still don’t understand how difficult it is to build a family. Even if it’s easy to establish a family, maintaining peace within it is incredibly challenging! Why always approach things with such suspicion, questioning everyone’s actions as mistakes? Ultimately, everyone is just doing their best for the family, hoping their loved ones can live happily, joyfully, and comfortably!

If you could doubt less and greet everyone a bit more warmly, the world wouldn’t be such a chaotic mess. What everyone wants is truly simple, yet you consistently make everything passive and let everyone live with constant anxiety. Do you think this is the life everyone wants? Have you ever cared whether your relatives can handle such changes? You repeatedly consider your ideas right, but what’s the difference between us? We are all family, shouldn’t we have the same attitude?

We are father and son, no matter when or where, it’s an undeniable fact. Our attitudes in doing things are mostly the same, without much difference. Our views towards matters, our attitude towards every person and our own family is exactly the same, with no deviation. Why do you believe that my repeated mistakes are not for your benefit, but rather for my selfish survival?”

Ran Zhihan didn’t know why, upon hearing her husband and son argue and converse because of her issues, she suddenly acted crazily, grabbing someone with her hand, fearing and wishing these two people wouldn’t stand here. She always felt they gave her immense pressure and left her gasping for air, a feeling she disliked.

Zhang Yichen saw his wife’s inexplicable change, suddenly becoming a stranger to him, making him feel unfamiliar. How much pressure had he given her to let her become like this? How many mistakes had he made to see her wanting to ferociously attack everyone she met? Can he truly not give her happiness and joy? How truly neglectful has he been as a husband? If he had been willing to accompany her a bit back then, even just speaking a bit more, could this situation have been much better now?

Zhang Ni saw his mother’s current madness and felt distress and heartache. She was his mother after all, someone he’d never harm now turned into this. Who truly should bear the blame for it all? No one knows the purpose behind these actions.

Yet now it’s starkly placed before him, he wonders what harm he’s brought upon his family. If his grandparents hadn’t returned home, would his mother have avoided becoming like this? Could everyone have lived peacefully onward? When did everything start changing, and why did it happen so suddenly, leaving him at a loss for ideas and actions? Such changes make him never want to experience another time like this in his life, desperately wanting his mother to live peacefully and return quickly to normalcy...

A person sheds tears of pain when suffering, but also sheds tears of joy when happy!
