School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 342: Chapter 389: A Deep Kiss

At this moment, Han Yuting’s heart was filled with sweetness.

Chen Nan’s tender and affectionate gaze made her unable to resist being intoxicated, and she believed that Chen Nan must like her, because a person’s gaze is impossible to fake.

Little did she know that at this very moment, Chen Nan was not thinking about her, but was instead recalling scenes from his childhood when he played with his junior sister, scenes that seemed familiar to this very moment.

When her soft lips touched Chen Nan’s, Han Yuting shuddered, as if electrocuted, with every nerve in her body tensing up. While she felt nervous, a sense of happiness and sweetness welled up inside her.

At this moment, Chen Nan also felt his own lips covered by two soft and warm ones, carrying a sweet flavor, which was very comforting.

He suddenly snapped out of his reminiscence, and upon seeing Han Yuting with her eyes tightly shut, he was startled, thinking he had mistaken her for his junior sister and had taken liberties with her. He hurriedly placed his hands on Han Yuting’s shoulders and quickly took a step back.

”I’m sorry, Yu Ting, I just got carried away and didn’t know what I was doing. Please don’t take it to heart.”

Hearing Chen Nan’s apology, Han Yuting’s face turned red with shame and embarrassment.

What on earth does he mean?

Han Yuting’s mind was in turmoil. She had mustered the courage to take the initiative just now because she saw how deeply Chen Nan was looking at her, but to her surprise, Chen Nan had pushed her away.

”I... I was too impulsive, I’m... sorry,” Han Yuting said with her head lowered and her face flushed.

Chen Nan was stunned for a moment.

Wasn’t he the one who took liberties with her? Why was she apologizing instead?

”No, it’s not your fault, it’s my fault. Please forgive me,” Chen Nan said earnestly.

Han Yuting was also confused by him. She really couldn’t understand; it was her who had initiated the kiss with Chen Nan, and if he was unwilling, he could have just pushed her away. So why did he still seem apologetic as if he had done something wrong?

Since she couldn’t figure it out, Han Yuting didn’t dwell on it any further.

After all, she believed that Chen Nan must like her, otherwise the look in his eyes just now couldn’t possibly have revealed so much love.

”Well, I... I’ll go wash the vegetables,” she said, diverting the topic and picking up the stainless steel bucket that had fallen to the floor, her flushed face pointing towards the kitchen.

Seeing that she didn’t blame him for his indiscretion, Chen Nan also breathed a sigh of relief, ”Then... go ahead and wash the vegetables, I’ll mop the floor.”

The bucket had contained half a bucket of water, all of which had poured onto the floor, wetting a large area. The ground looked like it had been flooded, and it was deep enough to raise fish if not mopped up.

”Okay, alright then.”

Han Yuting turned and walked toward the kitchen.

Her heart was filled with doubts; if Chen Nan liked her, why had he pushed her away just now?

Could it be... he didn’t want to do something that would be unfair to his girlfriend?

What a responsible man!

Han Yuting thought to herself, feeling a sense of regret. Such a man turned out to be someone else’s boyfriend.

...

At this very moment, outside Han Yuting’s home, by the roadside.

Under a large tree, a young man with red-dyed hair, looking like a delinquent, was holding a phone and making a call.

”Boss Wang, I’ve tracked down that bastard. He’s gone to a female student’s house, and I’m right outside the door,” he said.

”Good, very good!”

The voice of a man came from the other end of the call—Wang Zhikai, the rich second-generation who was scared to fall flat on the ground by Chen Nan last night, the one who wanted to pursue Eastern Yun Fei. His voice sounded very excited as he said, ”Shanchi, don’t act rashly just yet. Call a few more people to wait outside. When he comes out, we’ll take care of him. I’ll be right there to enjoy the show.”

”Alright, Boss Wang, just wait for the good show. I’ll call the brothers over now!”

”Yeah, hire a few more guys with good fighting skills. According to my investigation, that dude is a bodyguard; he must have no lack of skills.”

Shanjī laughed heartily, saying scornfully, ”Mr. Wang, you can rest assured. I, Shanjī, have been around here for so many years, and I’m not a pushover. Today, I guarantee I’ll cripple the guy and cut off his jj to feed the dogs!”

”Great, call your people right away. I’ll come over to enjoy the show.”

...

At this moment, Chen Nan was still busy mopping the floor, completely unaware that someone was plotting against him behind his back.

After he finished mopping, Han Yuting had also finished washing the vegetables, ready to start cooking.

Chen Nan hung the mop aside and walked into the kitchen, ”Miss Han, why don’t you go rest? After all, it’s your birthday today. Let me help you with the cooking.”

This guy really knows how to care for others!

Han Yuting felt a sweetness in her heart and was even more convinced that Chen Nan liked her. She turned around and smiled, ”Why don’t you go take a break? After all, you’re the guest. It doesn’t make sense for you to do the cooking, does it?”

”I am not a guest; I’m your friend.”

”Is there a difference?”

”Of course, there is.” Chen Nan said, ”On your birthday, guests are here to enjoy themselves, but friends are here to help. So, it’s only right for me to do something for you, unless you don’t consider me a friend.”

Han Yuting hurriedly shook her head, ”No, of course, I consider you a friend, and the best kind at that.”

Chen Nan nodded, ”So, go and rest. I’ll take care of the dishes.”

Han Yuting bit her lip, ”Still, I feel it’s not right. Even though we are good friends, you’re still a guest! It’s not appropriate to have the guest working while I rest, is it?”

”Then... Let’s split it half and half. You cook two dishes, and I cook two dishes. That should be fine, right?”

Han Yuting agreeably nodded and giggled, ”Alright, that’s what we’ll do.”

After busying themselves in the kitchen, they finally got the food ready.

There were no rare delicacies. Just some vegetables and ordinary meats.

After bringing the dishes to the table, Han Yuting eagerly picked up a piece of green pepper and beef stir-fry that Chen Nan made, and teasingly said, ”Your dish looks good, but I wonder about the taste.”

Chen Nan grinned, ”Same as before, I guarantee you’ll be satisfied.”

”Why are you always so confident?”

Chen Nan flicked his hair, ”Because confident people are the most handsome.”

Han Yuting burst into laughter, teasing, ”Handsome as in ’cricket’?”

”...”

Chen Nan was speechless for a long while before giving her a gloomy look. Suddenly he pointed to her chest and exclaimed, ”Oh my God, your underwear is coming out!”

”What?”

Han Yuting was so frightened that she shivered all over and hurriedly covered her chest to look down, only to find that she had been fooled. Angrily, she glared at Chen Nan, ”You big bad guy, big liar, you actually scared me!”

Chen Nan sighed, ”Who called me a cricket just now? A cricket’s eyes don’t work well, you know!”

”Do crickets even have eyes?” Han Yuting said somewhat exasperatedly, ”Isn’t it antennae?”

Chen Nan nodded, ”That’s right, and antennae work even worse. Being so far away and not being able to touch your chest, so obviously, I got it wrong.”

”You!”

Han Yuting was at a loss for words.
