School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 326: Chapter 370: Missing You

Chen Nan could naturally tell that Su Qingqing was indirectly confessing her feelings.

He patted her hair and changed the subject, ”By the way, has Yixuan and the others come back yet?”

Stupid idiot, I’m pouring my heart out here, and you’re totally unmoved!

Feeling frustrated, Su Qingqing rolled her eyes, ”Not yet, they’re discussing business with a major client. I guess they won’t be back until midnight as they probably won’t stop drinking.”

Chen Nan nodded, ”Do we have any alcohol at home? Join me for a few drinks.”

”We have both western and Chinese liquor. What do you want to drink?” Su Qingqing said, ”These were all collected by my dad when he was alive, and there’s still quite a bit of good stuff!”

Chen Nan got out of bed and stood up.

”We don’t need the good stuff, as long as it’s strong enough.”

”Why not drink the good stuff if we have it? Are you an idiot?” Su Qingqing said laughingly as she grabbed Chen Nan and ran outside.

Moutai, National Cellar, Du Kang, Nu’er Hong, Su Qingqing’s house really did have a lot of good liquors, aged for decades. After picking a few bottles, they sat in the living room and started drinking.

However, Chen Nan was drinking Chinese liquor, and Su Qingqing was drinking beer.

As for Liu Tiantian, that girl initially tried some Chinese liquor but choked, so she switched to soft drinks instead.

”Cousin, you really don’t need to be sad. If your junior sister doesn’t want you, don’t you still have us? Just say the word, and I’ll be your girlfriend right away,” Liu Tiantian thought she was being comforting, but this only caused Su Qingqing to keep giving her signals.

However, the girl seemed not to grasp her hint and kept talking nonstop.

Chen Nan shook his head with a wry smile, ”It’s not what you guys think, she’s not my junior sister. The reason I’m drinking isn’t that I’m heartbroken, it’s just that I’m very troubled, and I just want to chat while we drink.”

The two girls scratched their heads, ”So you’re saying you haven’t really been dumped?”

”You guys think too much,” Chen Nan shook the bottle in his hand, ”Come on, here’s to our lasting friendship, let’s drink to that.”

Friendship...

Su Qingqing understood the implication behind Chen Nan’s words, but Liu Tiantian didn’t think that much and clinked her bottle against Chen Nan’s, then enthusiastically gulped down two mouthfuls of her drink, her face full of joy.

The three of them drank from 9:30 in the evening until past eleven.

Ultimately, when Yixuan and the others came back, they continued drinking for a while, had some late-night snacks, and then finally called it a night.

...

Meanwhile, on the other side of Ningjiang City.

In Huo Xinya’s house, the girl was tossing and turning in bed, unable to fall asleep. As soon as she closed her eyes, all she could see was Chen Nan’s face.

She didn’t know when it started, but every night, she would think of Chen Nan as she drifted off to sleep; however, today, for some reason, the more she thought, the more she couldn’t sleep. Despite her efforts to control herself, she just couldn’t hold it back.

Pulling out her phone, she wanted to call Chen Nan, but then, remembering he was her brother-in-law, she clenched her teeth and held back.

She felt that no matter what, she had to try her hardest to restrain these feelings, bury them deep inside her heart, and never let them out, let alone let Chen Nan know. Otherwise, she would feel like she was seducing her sister’s husband—an utterly shameful and guilt-inducing act.

”If only you weren’t my brother-in-law, that would be so much better.”

Huo Xinya sighed, her mind devoid of any hint of sleepiness.

She walked to the window, hesitated while looking at the night view outside, then put on her clothes and left the house.

”Oh Lord, you really know how to play tricks on people, making me fall in love with someone I shouldn’t—how ridiculous.”

Walking along the paths of the residential area in the middle of the night, Huo Xinya murmured to herself with a dazed look. If she could do it all over again, she would rather hate Chen Nan, treat him as a big villain, than feel any emotion for him.

The taste of unrequited love was really extraordinarily bitter.

”Little beauty, walking alone in the middle of the night, are you so lonely that you’re out looking for a man?”

Suddenly a voice came up, and a twenty-seven or twenty-eight-year-old man appeared behind Huo Xinya, leering at her with a drooling face. If Chen Nan were here, he could definitely recognize him—it was Jiang Yifei, the successor of Desire Palace.

Huo Xinya turned her head to look at him, ignored him, and continued walking forward.

”Oh, interesting!”

Jiang Yifei’s mouth curled up, he touched his chin, his face full of lewd smiles. In a flash, he rushed toward Huo Xinya, reached out and grabbed her waist, tucked her under his arm, and dashed away like lightning, ”Little beauty, spend a delightful night with me tonight, I promise you’ll *****.”

Huo Xinya was greatly startled; she had thought he was just a common thug, never expecting him to be an expert!

Although her cultivation was only at the Eighth Layer Heaven of Entering Dao, a whole Great Realm below Chen Nan, she was still considered an expert; but now in front of Jiang Yifei, she was completely incapable of resisting.

Just coming out for a walk and encountering a flower thief, Huo Xinya could never have imagined she would be so unlucky.

What should I do?

What should I do?

Anxiously thinking, Huo Xinya tried to calm herself, secretly slipped her hand into her pocket, and felt for her phone, dialing by touch.

Since she had called Chen Nan earlier when she couldn’t sleep, but had hung up before the call connected, when she pressed the dial button, the first number was Chen Nan’s.

Over ten seconds after pressing the dial, Huo Xinya guessed that Chen Nan had picked up the call and desperately shouted, ”Let go of me, let go! What on earth do you want to do, you beast, you will not meet a good end!”

Jiang Yifei, oblivious to Huo Xinya’s actions, still ran at full speed, scoffed and said, ”Stop struggling. You’ll enjoy it soon; maybe you won’t be able to leave me after tonight!”

...

Chen Nan had just finished drinking and was lying in bed ready to sleep when he suddenly received the call from Huo Xinya.

Hearing the voice on the phone, he pretty much guessed what had happened, immediately hung up, and dialed Poison Wolf’s number, asking him to locate and track Huo Xinya’s phone.

One minute later.

Poison Wolf called back, reporting that Huo Xinya’s location was still moving rapidly toward the West Suburb.

”Okay, keep the line open, stay in contact, and let me know as soon as her location settles,” Chen Nan then plugged in his earbuds, put the phone in his pocket, and promptly dashed out of the villa, heading toward the West Suburb.

Based on the sounds heard in the phone call, he was fairly sure that Huo Xinya had encountered a flower thief.

And given that the flower thief could capture Huo Xinya, the thief’s strength must not be weak; if he arrived too late, Huo Xinya might really be in danger.
