School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 329: Chapter 374 Healing Wounds

Chen Nan was completely captivated until Huo Xinya suddenly withdrew her foot, and he snapped back to reality.

Right, what on earth was I looking at?

Looking up his sister-in-law’s skirt, how could he just do that? That was utterly shameful!

Chen Nan felt so sleazy himself, he quickly averted his gaze and stood up awkwardly, ”Uh... sorry, I didn’t mean to look. It wasn’t on purpose. Definitely not.”

Huo Xinya’s face turned bright red, wishing she could just disappear into a crack in the ground.

Her brother-in-law had seen everything under her skirt. Even though she liked Chen Nan, how could she not feel shy given her modesty!

”No, it’s nothing...”

She bit her red lip and shook her head.

In the hall, both of them wore expressions of awkwardness.

Especially Huo Xinya, who hung her head, afraid to look Chen Nan in the eye. She didn’t blame Chen Nan, rather, she blamed herself for not being more careful. Knowing that Chen Nan was right in front, how could she forget to cover herself with her skirt! How could she be so careless?

She even worried that Chen Nan might think she was trying to seduce him.

What must he think of me? Will he see me as a shameless woman?

Huo Xinya’s mind was in a mess, she really wanted to explain to Chen Nan that she hadn’t exposed herself on purpose, but when she opened her mouth, she didn’t know how to start because it was just too embarrassing!

After a moment of silence, Chen Nan was the first to speak, ”Xinya, don’t be mad, I really didn’t have any improper thoughts about you.”

Huo Xinya nodded slightly, ”I know.”

”That’s good, I was afraid you’d misunderstand me,” Chen Nan sighed in relief.

”I... I trust you’re not that kind of person.”

Huo Xinya’s voice was so soft, Chen Nan wouldn’t have heard her if he didn’t have good hearing.

However, being trusted by Huo Xinya made Chen Nan feel somewhat ashamed; only he knew how vile his thoughts could be. He even doubted himself...

When it came to resisting beautiful women, his resistance was practically zero.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have done that thing with Li Xiao in the car, leading to a situation he still didn’t know how to resolve.

”Thanks for trusting me so much.”

”You’re my brother-in-law, who else would I trust if not you?” The blush on Huo Xinya’s face slowly faded and she bit her lip, mustering her courage to say, ”Just now, you didn’t think I did that on purpose, did you?”

Chen Nan was taken aback, slightly confused, ”Did what on purpose?”

”I mean...” Huo Xinya’s complexion, which had just calmed somewhat, reddened again, ”Did you think I wanted you to see?”

Seeing her so embarrassed, Chen Nan couldn’t help but tease, ”Were you not doing it on purpose then?”

He had really misunderstood!

Huo Xinya panicked, shaking her head frantically, ”No, I’m really not that kind of person, can you believe me please?”

Seeing her so flustered she was almost in tears, Chen Nan felt a strong urge to burst out laughing.

”Alright, alright, look how flustered you are — I was just teasing you!” Chen Nan laughed, ”What kind of person you are, don’t I know by now? Even if you had ten times the courage, you wouldn’t do such a daring thing.”

Huo Xinya breathed a sigh of relief, rolled her eyes, and pouted, ”Then why did you have to scare me like that, you mean brother-in-law!”

”Who asked you to be so entertaining!”

”What’s so funny about me?”

Chen Nan touched his nose and said, ”It was clearly you who got taken advantage of, yet you’re worried others might misunderstand. Aren’t you funny? Aren’t you silly and cute?”

Huo Xinya gradually eased out of the awkward atmosphere, ”Taking advantage of someone and then teasing them, you’re really no good guy.”

”I was never a good guy!” Chen Nan said with a grin, ”I’m a good person, not a guy.”

”You, a good person? Your whole being spells two words—troublemaker!”

”Alright, alright, you’re right, I’m a troublemaker, I am indeed a troublemaker.” Chen Nan pointed at her swollen ankle, ”Sit properly, cover what needs to be covered, and I’ll give you a rub.”

Huo Xinya quickly shrank her foot back, ”No...no need, I’ll rub it myself in a bit.”

”What do you know about rubbing? Do you even know the acupoints? Stop talking nonsense, sit properly!” Chen Nan commanded as he squatted down, took hold of her delicate, snowy feet, and gently started to massage her ankle.

”You, why are you so domineering?”

Huo Xinya shrank her foot but Chen Nan didn’t let go, ”It’s only you, I wouldn’t do this for anyone else!”

Huo Xinya opened her mouth to speak, then stopped herself.

Being cherished like this by her brother-in-law, she felt a sweet happiness inside.

Looking at Chen Nan, she even wished time could stop at this moment, to always stay with Chen Nan, chattering and laughing, never to part. But the thought that Chen Nan was her sister’s husband suddenly saddened her heart.

How could her brother-in-law possibly spend a lifetime with her? Was she supposed to compete with her sister for a man?

Huo Xinya shook her head, immediately dismissing that ridiculous thought, preferring to be alone forever rather than do such shameless acts.

Seeing her seemingly distracted, Chen Nan asked, ”What are you thinking about? Why suddenly shaking your head?”

Thinking about whether or not to date you!

Huo Xinya mumbled to herself, but didn’t dare say it out loud and lied, ”Nothing much, I was just thinking that Qingqing seems to have feelings for you. I wonder if they would refrain from giving you the White Jade Lotus Platform just to keep you around.”

”Qingqing isn’t that kind of person, I believe she will give it to me.”

Chen Nan glanced at her, smiling, ”Let’s wait a bit longer, Yiyi said she can heal her injury within a month. If they’re reluctant to lend it to me by then, I’ll just steal the Lotus Platform.”

”Stealing is pretty low, but I support you.” Huo Xinya giggled.

Chen Nan flashed a grin, ”You are the class monitor, an example to all your classmates, and yet you support me stealing. Where has your integrity gone? Really, where did it go?”

”Mind your own business!” Huo Xinya giggled, ”It’s you who’s stealing, not me, it’s none of my business.”

”My beautiful class monitor, avoiding responsibility like that isn’t very good, is it?” Chen Nan laughed, ”Tell you what, let me know where you dropped your integrity, and I’ll help find it for you, free of charge.”

”Get lost!”

Huo Xinya rolled her eyes at him, ”You don’t have any integrity yourself, and yet you offer to help me find mine, that’s just unreliable.”

Chen Nan shook his head, ”How could I possibly lack integrity? Do you want me to take it out and show you?”

Integrity can be taken out and shown?

Huo Xinya paused for a moment, then nodded and said with a laugh, ”Go on, take it out!”

”Alright, I’ll take it out and show you right now.”

Chen Nan said cheerfully, and under Huo Xinya’s curious and expectant gaze, he suddenly exerted force with the hands holding Huo Xinya’s feet, and with a ”click”, Huo Xinya cried out in pain as her joint was reset.
