School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 328: Chapter 372: If You Dare, Don’t Run

Jiang Yifei could never have dreamed that he would be defeated by Chen Nan.

He, a grand Qi Dao Ninth Heaven, was defeated by someone from the Eighth Layer Heaven, and the defeat was so clean and so thorough!

Faced with Chen Nan’s attack at this moment, Jiang Yifei already knew he was no match, and dared not face it head-on. He quickly rolled on the ground to dodge and then jumped up to flee.

”You motherfucker, don’t run if you’ve got the guts!”

Chen Nan yelled from behind, but how could Jiang Yifei possibly heed his words? Instead of stopping, he ran even faster.

Ever since his last battle with Duansoul, Chen Nan knew that his combat power was almost on par with Duansoul’s; and since Jiang Yifei was weaker than Duansoul, he was sure Chen Nan could oppress him.

So, the palm strike just now, Chen Nan had struck with all his might, which was why he could demoralize the enemy with a single blow. If it had been a normal fight, without a contest of Inner Strength, he wasn’t confident in defeating Jiang Yifei within thirty moves.

Because he was worried about leaving Huo Xinya alone, Chen Nan didn’t chase after Jiang Yifei to kill him.

”You silly girl, what are you dazing off for? Hurry and stand up!” Chen Nan walked over and said with a smile.

Huo Xinya was still recovering from her previous fear, and upon hearing his words, she hurriedly tried to stand up. But as soon as she exerted force on her legs, she felt a sharp pain from her right ankle and collapsed to the ground with a cry of ”ouch.”

”What’s wrong with your foot?”

Chen Nan squatted down and without her permission, he grabbed her right foot and gently rubbed her ankle. ”How did it swell up like this?”

Huo Xinya shook her head. ”I don’t know; I might have twisted it while trying to dodge and struggle earlier. I didn’t feel the pain at the time.”

Chen Nan held her foot and moved it slightly. ”And now? Does it hurt?”

”Uh-huh, a little.”

Huo Xinya nodded with a blush on her pretty face. Being touched like this by her brother-in-law, it felt strange in her heart.

Really, a girl’s feet shouldn’t be touched so casually!

Chen Nan didn’t care about such subtleties. He was purely motivated by concern, not a desire to take advantage of her. He said, ”You definitely can’t walk like this. Come on, I’ll carry you on my back!”

As soon as Huo Xinya heard this, her heart was even more tumultuous, her complexion flushed. ”That’s... not very good, right?”

”What’s not good about it, come on!”

As Chen Nan spoke, he pulled her hands to rest on his shoulders and lifted her onto his back. He began striding toward the direction of the city center.

Lying on Chen Nan’s back, Huo Xinya’s heart was thumping nonstop.

She used to feel envious seeing Su Qingqing cling to Chen Nan’s back; she too wanted to be carried by Chen Nan, but she was just too shy to express it.

Now that her wish had come true, her heart was sweet. But because Chen Nan had given his T-shirt to her, he was currently shirtless. When her fingers touched Chen Nan’s warm skin, not only did her heartbeat quicken, but her face also turned extremely hot, feeling fiery.

She had never imagined that her brother-in-law’s back would be so warm and comforting.

If only I could stay on his back forever, how nice that would be!

As Huo Xinya thought this, gradually, she no longer felt ashamed of her fondness for her brother-in-law. She even began to wish Chen Nan would be good to her, as she enjoyed the feeling of being carried on his back so much.

”What are you thinking about? Why aren’t you speaking?”

Suddenly Chen Nan asked a question. Huo Xinya shuddered all over, as if her thoughts had been seen through by Chen Nan. She quickly said, ”Nothing... nothing much, I was just thinking about school stuff.”

Chen Nan didn’t know what was on her mind and laughed, ”With your grades being so good, what’s there to worry about?”

”Even with good grades, you have to strive hard, otherwise if they drop, it’s all over.” Huo Xinya remained silent for a long while before gritting her teeth and asking, ”When you carry me and when you carry Qingqing, do you feel any difference?”

Without thinking, Chen Nan blurted out, ”You’re a little heavier than her.”

Huo Xinya rolled her eyes, feeling dejected, ”Are you indirectly saying I’m fat?”

”No, absolutely not.” Chen Nan turned back and smiled, ”You’re a bit taller than her, so being slightly heavier is normal.”

”Hmph, that’s more like it. Otherwise, I’ll have to start pinching you like Qingqing does.”

Chen Nan, somewhat speechless, said, ”Why do you have to learn that from the little crawfish?”

”Because I think that move works very well on you.” Huo Xinya playfully reached out her hand and waved in front of Chen Nan, ”You’d better be a good brother-in-law in the future, treat your sister-in-law well, or else I’ll pinch you, got it?”

Chen Nan chuckled, ”With you being so gentle, I really don’t believe you could do it.”

”How about I give it a try right now?”

”No, it was just a joke, why so serious!”

Although Chen Nan felt that Huo Xinya wouldn’t really pinch someone, there is always that slight chance. And if she did pinch him, it would be he who would suffer the pain, a loss far outweighing the gain. Better not to risk it.

Huo Xinya giggled, ”Look how scared you are, I wouldn’t really pinch you.”

Chen Nan sighed deeply, ”It’s all that little devil Su Qingqing’s fault, it made me forget that girls are actually gentle. I started thinking all women in the world liked to pinch people for no reason like her.”

”Blaming others for your own cowardice,” Huo Xinya pouted, then fell silent for a moment before saying, ”I feel that in your heart, Qingqing’s place is no longer beneath my sister’s. Do you like her?”

”What nonsense are you talking about? I just see her as a friend,” said Chen Nan.

Huo Xinya shook her head, ”Perhaps that’s what you think, but there are some feelings that you yourself may not notice.”

”That’s too profound for me, how could I not know my own feelings!” Chen Nan said, ”In any case, I currently see her as a buddy, a friend, so stop overthinking it. The one in my heart is always Yiyi, that hasn’t changed, so rest assured.”

”I hope that’s true.”

...

After arriving at Huo Xinya’s place, Chen Nan asked her to lie down on a chair and then took off her shoes.

”I’ll give you a massage, and the pain will be gone in no time.”

Chen Nan knelt in front of her, cradling her white jade foot, gently pinching near the ankle. This gentle movement, though aimed at massaging, caused a ticklish feeling in Huo Xinya’s heart. Her foot being rubbed by her brother-in-law made her heart surge with an unexplainable excitement and impulsiveness.

At that moment, Chen Nan was also shocked by the scene before him.

Kneeling in front of Huo Xinya, his gaze became a bit unsteady as he peeked under her skirt, catching sight of things he should and shouldn’t see.

”Gulp...”

Chen Nan’s eyes glazed over, and he stopped his handiwork, unable to help swallowing.

At the same time, Huo Xinya seemed to notice the odd look in his eyes and quickly drew back her foot, ”What... what are you looking at!”
