School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 308: Chapter 351: Shrew!

”Go with you?” Chen Nan was still a bit slow to respond, ”Go... where exactly?”

”Just go if I tell you to go, why all the questions? Hurry up and change your clothes,” Lan Yuqin extended her fair, jade-like hand and pushed Chen Nan into the room.

Chen Nan felt somewhat bewildered, ”Where exactly are we going? If you don’t tell me, I’m not changing.”

”Then forget it!”

With a scornful sigh, Lan Yuqin said, ”Actually, I was planning to treat you to a meal. Since you’re not willing, forget it then, goodbye.”

”Wait a moment!”

The moment Chen Nan heard it was a good thing, he hastened to say, ”I’ll go, of course I’ll go. I’m going to change right now.” And then he ran into the room to change.

Watching Chen Nan’s retreating back, Lan Yuqin shook her head with a wry smile.

She had to admit that not even she could match his speed in changing faces.

Soon, Chen Nan changed his clothes and came out of the room.

In the living room, there was only Su Yixuan by herself. As for Su Qingqing and the others, they probably hadn’t gotten up yet. After a brief greeting, Chen Nan and Lan Yuqin left the villa together.

”Why are you inviting me to eat out of the blue?”

Lan Yuqin gave him a glance, ”Do you think I want to invite you? If it weren’t for my grandfather wanting to thank you for healing his old injury by treating you to a meal, I wouldn’t come to get you, a lazy pig, out of bed so early!”

”So, that’s why you suddenly became so nice. It turns out the old man wants to treat me,” Chen Nan said.

”What do you mean ’suddenly became so nice’?” Lan Yuqin’s eyes widened, ”Was I not nice before?”

Chen Nan also glared, matching her tone for tone, ”Were you nice before?”

Lan Yuqin stopped in her tracks, staring unblinkingly at Chen Nan, ”Where am I not nice, you tell me?”

”Shrewish, barbaric, tyrannical, and unreasonable. Moreover, you treat your students brutally, your speech is littered with profanity, you call people bastards for no reason, and you lack any semblance of a teacher’s image. You are the quintessence of a shrew from among the shrews. Now you tell me, where exactly are you nice?”

”I...”

Lan Yuqin was a bit dazed from Chen Nan’s rebuke and couldn’t find the words for a long while.

”What’s this ’I’? Am I not stating the facts? Did I say anything that’s untrue?” Chen Nan said with disdain.

”Chen Nan!”

Lan Yuqin, staring at Chen Nan, roared at him.

”Yelling at me is pointless. It is what it is, and I will definitely not submit to your aggression,” Chen Nan said proudly, chest puffed out, looking unafraid of authority, which made Lan Yuqin clench her teeth in anger and her chest heaved dramatically.

”Mr. Chen, you owe me an apology!”

Chen Nan ignored her completely and glanced at Lan Yuqin’s car parked by the roadside. He directly pulled the door open and sat down inside.

”Who allowed you to get in my car?” Lan Yuqin chased after him furiously, opened the car door, and demanded, pointing at Chen Nan, ”Apologize to me! If you don’t apologize, don’t even think about getting in my car!”

Chen Nan looked at her with a grin, ”But I’m already in your car, and I’m not going to apologize.”

Lan Yuqin’s eyes were about to shoot fire, her pointing finger trembling. This jerk was just too infuriating; he wasn’t a student, he was clearly a hooligan!

”Teacher, why are you trembling?” Chen Nan eyed her shapely body, ”You’re not sick, are you?”

”You’re the one who’s sick, your whole family is sick!”

Lan Yuqin, unable to contain her anger, stamped her foot fiercely on the ground and stormed to the other side of the car, opened the door, and got in.

”Ah, such manners!”

Chen Nan shook his head with a sigh, rolled down the car window, and lit up a cigarette.

Lan Yuqin, without uttering a word, glared at him and then started the car and drove off, cursing under her breath, ”You deadbeat, puff, puff, puff, just know how to smoke, I hope you choke on your cigarette, you bastard!”

...

Ten minutes later, the car stopped in front of Lan Yuqin’s house.

After getting out of the car, Lan Yuqin took some vegetables out of the trunk and glared at Chen Nan, saying irritably, ”What are you staring at? Come and help.”

”You expect me to just jump when you say jump? Where do I put my dignity?”

”Dignity my foot!” Lan Yuqin tossed a pack of vegetables over to him, ”Catch, and if they fall and break, you can go buy them!”

After glaring at Chen Nan, Lan Yuqin slammed the trunk closed with a ”bang”, holding bags of various sizes, and snorted, ”Listen here, Mr. Chen, I’m really angry right now, so you’d better not mess with me!”

Having said that, she marched toward the front door.

Chen Nan touched his nose and called after her retreating figure, ”Teacher, you should try to stay calm, worry about getting wrinkles.”

Not only did Lan Yuqin not respond, but she also quickened her pace.

After entering Lan Yuqin’s house, only her grandfather, Lan Qingfeng, was at home.

Seeing Chen Nan arrive, the old man was very courteous. He brought out some fine pre-qingming West Lake Longjing tea, chatting and drinking tea with Chen Nan.

As for Lan Yuqin, she sat by herself watching television, occasionally chiming in, but her tone was filled with resentment toward Chen Nan.

And as for Lan Yuqin’s uncle, Lan Feihu, Chen Nan never mentioned him.

Not because he had forgotten, but because he felt it was better not to let the old man know that Lan Feihu had been caught trafficking military arms and was now in prison. After all, the old man was getting on in years and it was preferable to avoid upsetting him by revealing such news.

Before they knew it, it was already noon.

When it was time for lunch, Chen Nan had a few drinks with the grandfather and they chatted and laughed, very much enjoying each other’s company.

Since Lan Qingfeng was advanced in years and had gotten quite cheerful, he drank a few extra glasses with Chen Nan and began feeling a bit groggy: ”Yuqin, you keep Chen company, I’m off to take a nap.”

”No problem, go ahead, Grandpa,” Lan Yuqin nodded in agreement.

After the old man went into his room, only Chen Nan and Lan Yuqin were left in the living room.

”You little scoundrel, I didn’t expect you to be quite good at flattering others. My grandpa hasn’t been this happy in a long time,” Lan Yuqin commented, glancing at Chen Nan while changing the channel on the TV with the remote control.

Chen Nan puffed out his chest with pride, ”Of course, you should see who I am.”

”Would you die if you didn’t brag?” Lan Yuqin said irritably, ”One compliment and you’re over the moon. Don’t forget about that incident earlier, you still haven’t apologized to me!”

”That earlier incident? What incident? I forgot.”

”You called me a shrew!”

”Did I? I don’t remember that,” Chen Nan sighed, ”Why sweat the small stuff? Here, my respected teacher, let me peel an orange for you.”

”...”

Lan Yuqin was completely speechless. This guy’s thick skin was really... astonishing!

After lightening the mood a bit, Chen Nan gradually changed the subject, and Lan Yuqin didn’t bring up the apology again.

Meanwhile, outside the window, the sky was gradually getting covered by dark clouds, and it was becoming darker, clearly the signs of an approaching storm.

”Boom...”

Suddenly, lightning streaked across the sky, followed by a clap of thunder that shook the house. Lan Yuqin shivered with fright, and the remote control she was holding fell to the ground, making a sharp noise.
