The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 493: Chapter 492: Confession

As the two sat down, Huang Yanquan didn’t eat anything but watched Ding Yuejun eating her snacks.

”Hey... Quan, why aren’t you eating?”

Hearing this, Huang Yanquan took a deep breath and then slowly started eating. However, his gaze remained fixed on Ding Yuejun, which made her feel embarrassed. ”Quan, why are you staring at me? Hurry up and eat. I’ve already had breakfast, so I’m not hungry. You haven’t eaten anything, you must eat more.”

”Mm.”

Huang Yanquan nodded and stopped looking at Ding Yuejun, quickly eating instead.

Seeing this, Ding Yuejun also began to eat slowly. Although she indeed had breakfast, these dim sum snacks were truly delicious and varied, making her want to try each one.

However, when Huang Yanquan put down his chopsticks, she did too, as she was really full.

At this moment, Huang Yanquan looked seriously at Ding Yuejun and said, ”Yue Jun, I have something important to tell you today.”

”What...”

Seeing Huang Yanquan so serious, Ding Yuejun couldn’t help but feel anxious in her heart. However, she was also a bit puzzled; why did he suddenly call her by her name, when he always used to call her Sister Jun?

”I like you.”

Having made up his mind, Huang Yanquan didn’t hesitate for long before coming to confess today. He has always been a decisive person, and knowing his feelings, there was no reason to drag it out.

”Bang...”

In her panic, Ding Yuejun swept the cup beside her onto the ground.

The sudden sound of shattering brought Ding Yuejun back to her senses, and then she stood up with an incredulous face, saying, ”Quan, you... What nonsense are you talking?”

”I’m not talking nonsense, I really like you. At first, I didn’t believe it myself, but every time I see you, I’m happy. When I don’t see you, I think of you, and when I know you’re close to other men, I feel jealous and can’t sleep, so I really do like you.”

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun’s face was full of panic; she retreated repeatedly, looking at Huang Yanquan with disbelief.

The young man before her, who was so much younger than her, was actually confessing to her, which was something she really couldn’t accept. After all, she had always regarded Huang Yanquan as a junior, and now this sudden confession was really too much of a shock.

Seeing Ding Yuejun’s expression, Huang Yanquan knew she might have trouble accepting it for a moment. He hurriedly said, ”Yue Jun, I know you might need time to process this. I don’t expect you to agree immediately, but I’m sincere. Please consider me carefully. In fact, I’m no worse than anyone else; I think the two of us together are actually a good match.”

”No... you must have made a mistake.”

Ding Yuejun hurriedly said, still unable to accept the fact that Huang Yanquan liked her, ”The one you like should be those young girls, how could it be me.”

”Yue Jun, you undervalue yourself too much. You’re not worse than those young girls, besides, love isn’t about age. When two people feel right, they should be together.” Huang Yanquan said naturally, not feeling this was an issue.

At this time, Ding Yuejun gradually calmed down, her gaze at Huang Yanquan became complex.

The person in front of her had always been helpful to her. Every time she was in trouble, he would lend a hand, but who knew in interactions here and there, he actually developed this kind of feeling for her. Yet she indeed had trouble accepting it; how could she let a young man be with her?

”Quan, don’t ever say anything like this again. It’s impossible for us.”

Hearing these words, Huang Yanquan’s smile faded; he hadn’t expected Ding Yuejun to refuse so quickly.

But he wasn’t one to easily give up, so he directly said, ”Yue Jun, you might not be able to accept this now, but please, really consider it.”

By this time, Ding Yuejun had really thought it through; she shook her head directly and said, ”Quan, it’s truly impossible for the two of us, so you should dispel this idea quickly.”

After saying this, Ding Yuejun picked up her bag and quickly left.

Originally she thought Huang Yanquan wanted to discuss some cooperation matters with her, unexpectedly it was a confession. Had she known, she wouldn’t have come.

However, thinking about all the bits and pieces Huang Yanquan had done before, Ding Yuejun felt a bit lost. Such a good partner and friend might never be again.

Thinking about this, she couldn’t help but sigh.

However, before Ding Yuejun walked far, her wrist was suddenly grabbed by someone. Turning around, she saw it was Huang Yanquan, who had chased after her.

Huang Yanquan had already regained his usual polite expression. He held Ding Yuejun and said, ”Let me take you home.”

Ding Yuejun quickly said, ”No need.”

Yet Huang Yanquan didn’t say much, directly leading Ding Yuejun to the parking area.

Ding Yuejun shook her hand but couldn’t break free, her eyes showing some urgency.

But compared to the scene last night when Shi Yangqiang wanted to take her home, she suddenly felt that Huang Yanquan’s firmness didn’t make her as repulsive, perhaps because she was more familiar with Huang Yanquan, so she didn’t have so much resistance and defense against him.

Once they got into the car, Huang Yanquan was a bit silent.

And Ding Yuejun turned her head towards the window, watching the scenery along the way, her mind chaotic.

Upon returning home, Old Master Ding saw Ding Yuejun and couldn’t help but ask, ”Why did you come back so early today, isn’t there anything at the clothing store?”

Upon hearing this, Ding Yuejun looked up and realized Huang Yanquan hadn’t taken her to the clothing store, but directly sent her home.

At this moment, hearing Old Master Ding’s words, she quickly nodded, ”Yes, Dad, the clothing store isn’t very busy today, so I came back first.”

Old Master Ding, being sharp, immediately sensed something unusual in his eldest daughter’s expression, ”What’s wrong Yue Jun, did something happen?”

Ding Yuejun quickly shook her head and said, ”Nothing, nothing, Dad, I’ll go rest first.” With that, she directly went towards her courtyard.

Seeing the back of his eldest daughter leaving quickly, Old Master Ding frowned even more. He then asked around, only to find out it was that Hong Kong businessman who sent his daughter back.

He remembered the person seemed to be called Huang Yanquan; did Yue Jun have a falling out with him?

While Old Master Ding was puzzled, Yiyi returned. Seeing her grandfather standing in the courtyard, she couldn’t help but say, ”Grandpa, the weather is so cold, why are you standing here, come inside quickly.”

Upon hearing this, Old Master Ding entered the house with Yiyi, then looked at his granddaughter and said, ”Your mother just returned too, but I noticed her expression was a bit off, not sure what happened.”
