The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 456: Chapter 455: Gathering

Old Mrs. Gu heard this, and really took a careful look at Yiyi, then said, ”Yiyi is different from you. Though she is thin, her figure is very well-proportioned, not at all like you, skinny as a stick.”

Gu Tingting heard this and felt annoyed in her heart. She knew that in her grandmother’s eyes, Ding Yiyi was good at everything. However, she did not show it and instead nodded obediently, saying, ”I know, Grandma. I’ll eat more next time.”

Yiyi was a bit embarrassed by Old Mrs. Gu’s praise, but she also thought Gu Tingting was too thin. Now she was tall and thin, looking almost like skin and bones. Truly, she could not understand what she was thinking. Even if one wants to lose weight, it should not be like this.

At this moment, Zhuang Caixin defended her daughter, saying, ”Mom, Tingting didn’t deliberately lose weight. She suddenly lost weight recently, even though she’s eating quite a lot. I’m worried, thinking she’s really too thin.”

Hearing this, Old Mrs. Gu looked doubtfully at her youngest daughter-in-law and asked, ”Is Tingting really eating well?”

”Yes, she eats even more than before, yet she’s getting thinner and thinner. I’m worried too.”

Gu Tingting, however, said indifferently, ”Isn’t this good? Eating and not gaining weight, there are so many people who envy me.”

Seeing her daughter speak like this, Zhuang Caixin glanced at her and said, ”What do you know? It’s not good for girls to be too thin. I’ll take you to get your body regulated next time, try to gain some weight.”

At this point, Old Mrs. Gu suddenly said, ”No need to wait until next time. Yiyi is right here. Her pharmacy has recently launched new tonic formulations. Let her check Tingting’s pulse now, prescribe a formula, then you can start proper regulation.”

However, Gu Tingting directly said, ”Grandma, there’s no need. I don’t think I need supplements. I’ll just eat more in the future, and I’ll definitely gain weight.”

Zhuang Caixin felt that Yiyi is still so young, and still in college, what could she possibly know. So she also said, ”Mom, since Tingting said so, let’s wait a while then see.”

Hearing what the two of them said, Old Mrs. Gu was outraged, thinking they didn’t believe Yiyi. So she no longer said much, only commented, ”Alright then, suit yourselves when the time comes.”

Seeing that Old Mrs. Gu was somewhat displeased, Zhuang Caixin opened her mouth wanting to lighten the atmosphere a bit, but before she could speak, Gu Yaohua and his wife came over.

”Mom and Dad, we’re sorry we’re late.”

Old Mrs. Gu heard this and replied with a smile, ”Not late, you’re just in time. Sister-in-law Wang has just prepared the meal, so please sit down quickly.”

Mr. Gu had already stood up and sat down first.

The others saw this and also sat down one after another.

Yu Qiulan sat next to Yiyi and asked with a smile, ”Yiyi, have you been busy lately?”

”It’s alright, not particularly busy.”

On the other side, Zhuang Caixin commented, ”Just now, Mom mentioned your pharmacy’s new tonic product. You must be quite busy, right? Yiyi, you’re still in college, you shouldn’t be busy with these things just for money. You students should focus on your studies.”

Upon hearing this, Yiyi raised her eyebrows, intending to say something, but Yu Qiulan looked at Yiyi and said, ”Yiyi, your pharmacy launched a new medication. I hadn’t heard you mention it before. Had I known, I would have gone over to help you.”

Old Mrs. Gu then replied with a smile, ”Had I known you wanted to go, I would have invited you along. The old man and I went to support them that day. Elder Kong gave us a prescription. When the tonic is ready, Yiyi will send it to us.”

Hearing this, Yu Qiulan looked regretful, ”I should have also gone.”

But she ended up smiling, ”It’s not too late now. I’ll go tomorrow and get myself a tonic to regulate my body.”

Upon hearing this, Yiyi smiled and said, ”Alright, I’ll go to the pharmacy with you then.”

”That’s great.”

Yu Qiulan wore a bright smile, extremely satisfied with Yiyi.

Seeing the two of them like this, Zhuang Caixin couldn’t help but curl her lips. When Yiyi was first recognized by the Ding Family, her elder sister-in-law looked down on Yiyi in various ways, but as soon as Yiyi was accepted by the Ding Family, she praised and fawned over her, nearly making Zhuang Caixin fed up.

However, thinking of the Ding Family, even she was tempted. After all, that was the Ding Family.

Sitting next to Zhuang Caixin was Gu Tingting. Seeing her mother not speaking, Tingting couldn’t help but say, ”Mom, why aren’t you eating?”

Hearing this, Zhuang Caixin snapped back to reality, quickly saying, ”Tingting, eat more yourself. Mom is eating too.”

Gu Tingting, upon hearing this, said no more and started eating with a very good appetite.

Yiyi glanced at what Gu Tingting was eating and was rather surprised, not expecting that Gu Tingting was really quite a good eater. They had just started, and she had already eaten half a chicken, and seemed to just be getting started.

However, Yiyi didn’t look much more but started eating herself. She hadn’t noticed earlier, but Gu Tingyu had already loaded her small bowl full.

”Yiyi, eat more. You’ve been in class all afternoon; you must be hungry.”

Beside them, Yu Qiulan agreed and chimed in, ”Yes, classes are exhausting. Yiyi must be hungry and should eat more.”

Seeing Gu Tingyu about to serve her more food, Yiyi quickly said, ”Let me finish what’s in front of me first.”

Hearing this, Gu Tingyu nodded and started eating himself.

Zhuang Caixin glanced at Yiyi, then turned to her own daughter, saying, ”Tingting, you must be hungry too. Eat more.” Saying this, she vigorously served food to her daughter.

Gu Tingting accepted it all, eating continuously without pause.

Old Mrs. Gu saw that several people were eating quite well, smiling and nodding. She liked seeing youngsters eat more, then she looked at her youngest daughter-in-law, asking, ”Caixin, is Tinghao so busy lately? He hasn’t had time to come home.”

Talking about her son, Zhuang Caixin smiled widely, ”Yes, Tinghao has been really busy recently, but it can’t be helped, it’s what’s needed at work.”

Mr. Gu nodded and said, ”I heard that Tinghao has been performing well recently, very good; he needs to keep it up. Their units are like Tingyu’s, with little time off, so we’ll have to wait until his next break to have a meal together.”

”That’s right, Tinghao’s boss praised him too.”

Zhuang Caixin felt the honor and gleamed with pride, eating her meal with even more satisfaction.

After dinner, Yiyi rubbed her round belly, feeling a bit bloated.

Seeing Yiyi lazily sitting in the chair, Gu Tingyu couldn’t help but suggest with a smile, ”Why don’t we go for a walk to digest?”

Old Mrs. Gu quickly said, ”Yes, yes, you all should go for a walk.”
