The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 491: Chapter 490: Let It Go

Shi Yang is really a very talkative person. Despite his square appearance, he’s quite skilled at telling jokes, giving people a contrasting feeling of cuteness.

At first, Yue Jun felt restrained, but gradually relaxed, finding Shi Yang pretty easy to get along with, so she began speaking more casually.

Shi Yang naturally noticed the change in Yue Jun’s attitude, making his conversations even more enthusiastic.

By the time they finished their meal, they had talked a lot.

He found out where Yue Jun’s fashion store is located, what kind of clothes are sold there, and he also shared some stories about his tenure, making the conversation quite enjoyable.

After dinner, Shi Yang stood up and said, ”Let me take you home.”

Yue Jun shook her head and said, ”No need, I can go back by myself.”

”How could I let a lady go back alone? Let’s go.” He said, walking ahead, preparing to escort Yue Jun back.

Hearing this, Yue Jun frowned slightly, feeling that he was quite decisive in making decisions for others.

But as they walked out of the private room, they ran into a group of people. The one leading the group was someone Yue Jun recognized; it was Wei Hanliang.

Wei Hanliang, seeing Yue Jun coming out of the private room with a man, paused for a moment. Upon recognizing Shi Yang, he couldn’t help but smile and step forward, ”Secretary Shi, fancy meeting you here, pleasure to meet you.”

Shi Yang was also surprised to see Wei Hanliang. Though not very familiar with each other, they had heard of each other’s reputation, so he also smiled and said, ”Hello, Director Wei.”

The two men shook hands, both wearing composed smiles.

Then Wei Hanliang turned to Yue Jun and said, ”Yue Jun, I didn’t expect to see you here too. When did you meet Secretary Shi?” He usually called her Ms. Ding or Miss Ding, but didn’t know why he instinctively called her by her name now.

Hearing Wei Hanliang call her name, Yue Jun paused, but before she could speak, Shi Yang explained with a smile, ”Old Ding asked us to have dinner together tonight.”

Upon hearing Shi Yang’s words, Wei Hanliang understood immediately; it was Old Ding who arranged for Yue Jun to come on a blind date.

Having heard some things about Shi Yang and knowing he hadn’t married yet despite his capability, it was normal for Old Ding to be interested, but Wei Hanliang felt inexplicably stifled, with a sense of blockage in his chest.

Although not understanding why, Wei Hanliang still instinctively asked, ”Have you finished dinner?”

Yue Jun nodded and said, ”Yes, just finished.”

”Coincidentally, I’ve just finished too. We’re headed the same way, let me take you home.”

Upon hearing this, Shi Yang quickly said, ”No need, I’ll take Miss Ding home, and I’m currently living quite close to their house anyway.”

Wei Hanliang didn’t speak but looked directly at Yue Jun, waiting for her decision.

Yue Jun had already decided not to accept Shi Yang, as she wasn’t ready to find another man. So she directly looked at Wei Hanliang and said, ”Then let’s go together. Last time, your sister-in-law asked me to make a dress for her, I’ve finished it, so let’s swing by the store first and you can take it to her.”

Hearing this, Wei Hanliang smiled and nodded, ”Alright, let’s go now.” He then greeted the people behind him and left with Yue Jun.

Shi Yang watched as Wei Hanliang and Yue Jun left, squinting his eyes.

What did Wei Hanliang mean, was he also interested in Yue Jun?

Although Wei Hanliang had been married before, Shi Yang also heard he had already divorced his wife and wanted to find someone new.

But even if he wanted to find someone new, he shouldn’t do it in front of Shi Yang since Old Ding arranged for him to come on a blind date tonight, Wei Hanliang was really out of line.

Thinking about this, Shi Yang’s expression turned unpleasant, and he finally left with big strides.

After getting into Wei Hanliang’s car, Yue Jun said to him, ”Let’s head to the fashion store now.” Qu Yiqi indeed ordered a dress from her, so today she happened to have an excuse.

Shi Yang should have understood from her words and actions that she was rejecting him anyway. For now, she didn’t want to find another partner because she felt really good being on her own.

Wei Hanliang was smiling all along and upon hearing this, he quickly responded, ”Alright, let’s go over there now.”

He knew where Yue Jun’s fashion store was located and drove straight in that direction, but he was still curious about her and Shi Yang’s situation and couldn’t help asking, ”Did Old Ding arrange for you to meet Shi Yang tonight for a blind date?”

Shi Yang had already mentioned it, so Yue Jun didn’t try to hide it, nodding directly, ”Yes, my father wants me to find someone again, fearing I’ll be lonely in the future. But I feel quite good being alone now.”

Hearing the last part, Wei Hanliang couldn’t help but pause.

He didn’t expect Yue Jun to think like this, so her choosing to take his car home wasn’t because she disliked Shi Yang, but because she wanted to be alone later. He was at a loss for words, so he quickly switched to another topic, chatting about other things with her.

Seeing Wei Hanliang’s enthusiasm for conversing with her, Yue Jun also spoke with him slowly and softly. Upon arriving at the fashion store, Yue Jun immediately went in, retrieved the dress custom-made for Qu Yiqi, and handed it to Wei Hanliang, saying, ”Please pass it to your sister-in-law.”

Of course, Wei Hanliang nodded, saying, ”No problem, I’ll take you home now.”

Yue Jun nodded without refusing.

Once she arrived home, she waved goodbye to Wei Hanliang.

At this time, Old Master Ding had also just returned home. He was busy today, so he was late, and upon arriving home unexpectedly saw Wei Hanliang returning with his daughter.

However, he didn’t say anything and just greeted Wei Hanliang before going inside with Yue Jun.

Once inside, he asked, ”Yue Jun, how come you were with Wei Hanliang? Weren’t you supposed to have dinner with Shi Yang tonight?”

”Dad, when we finished dinner, we happened to run into Wei Hanliang, so he took me home.”

Hearing this, Old Master Ding looked helpless, ”How could you make Shi Yang think by going off with Wei Hanliang on your own?”

Yue Jun explained the situation, eventually saying, ”Dad, I happened to have something for him to take to his sister-in-law, so I joined him.”

”You, you.”

Old Master Ding didn’t know what to say, eventually shaking his head helplessly, and asking, ”What do you think of Shi Yang?”

”Dad, I really don’t want to look for another right now, how about we just leave it at that?”
