The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 457: Chapter 456: Fleeting Moments

Hearing these words from Old Mrs. Gu, Gu Tingyu stood up directly and then, holding Yiyi’s hand, said, ”Let’s go out for a walk then.”

Yiyi felt a bit embarrassed in front of so many people, but seeing Old Mrs. Gu’s face full of urgency, she finally went out hand in hand with Gu Tingyu.

Once Gu Tingyu and Yiyi stepped out, Old Mrs. Gu looked at Zhuang Caixin and said, ”Tinghao isn’t young either. Hurry up and arrange a match for him, don’t wait until Tingyu gets married and he’s still alone.”

Hearing this, Zhuang Caixin quickly laughed and said, ”Mom, don’t worry about that, I’ve already been looking for someone for Tinghao, they’re all really nice girls. When the time comes, he can pick someone he likes, and they can date slowly. In a year or two, they can get married.”

Old Mrs. Gu heard this and nodded in satisfaction, then looked at Gu Tingting and said, ”Tingting is not young either, but right now the most important thing is for you to eat more and gain some weight. Otherwise, with your skinny look, won’t people turn around and run?”

But thinking of her granddaughter eating so much at night, she frowned and looked at her daughter-in-law, saying, ”Tingting does eat a lot, but she doesn’t seem to gain any weight. So, when you have time, make her some black date stew or something to nourish her.”

Zhuang Caixin nodded quickly at these words and said, ”Mom, don’t worry. In a few days, I’ll make her some desserts to nourish her. Besides the stew, I’ll make an old hen stew for her as well to ensure she gains weight.”

Old Mrs. Gu then nodded with relief.

On the other hand, Gu Tingyu was walking slowly along the road with Yiyi, ”Tomorrow morning, I’ll come over to find you, and then we can go to the street together. I’ve heard that a lot of new shops have opened on Central Street.”

Yiyi smiled and nodded at these words and said, ”Sure, I haven’t been there for a long time.”

Recently, she had been busy with the pharmaceutical factory’s matters, plus final exams were approaching, so she really hadn’t had time to go out. But then she remembered Yu Qiulan, ”No, Mom said she wants to go to the pharmacy tomorrow. So let’s go to the pharmacy first, get her prescription filled, and then go shopping.”

Gu Tingyu nodded indifferently and said, ”Alright then, tomorrow morning I’ll first come to your place and then we’ll go to the pharmacy together.”

”Sure.”

They set their itinerary just like that, but what Yiyi didn’t expect was that shortly after Gu Tingyu dropped her home, she received his phone call.

”Tingyu? Is there something up?”

They had just parted ways, and she didn’t expect Gu Tingyu to call her again.

On the other end of the line, Gu Tingyu’s voice was somewhat apologetic, ”Yiyi, it seems I can’t accompany you shopping tomorrow. I just got a call, and I have to go back later.”

”Ah... it’s so soon that you have to go back.”

Hearing this, Yiyi was full of disappointment. She hadn’t seen Gu Tingyu for a long time, and she thought she could spend a couple of days with him this time. But she didn’t expect him to leave again in less than half a day.

”Is it an urgent matter?”

Gu Tingyu nodded and said, ”Yes, so there’s no other choice but to go back.”

”Alright then, we’ll go shopping next time. I wonder if you can take a break this time during the New Year.”

Talking about this, Gu Tingyu couldn’t guarantee anything, so he only said, ”Next time I have a break, I’ll spend quality time with you.”

”Okay.”

Yiyi could only nod and then said playfully, ”Next time you have to spend time with me, if I had known, I would have taken the afternoon off to go out with you.”

Hearing this statement from the young girl, Gu Tingyu felt a bit guilty.

He also knew he didn’t have much time to spend with her. ”I didn’t expect I had to go back so urgently this time, but don’t worry, next time I will surely spend good time with you.”

In the end, Gu Tingyu couldn’t help but smile and said, ”Why not just stay over at your place next time? This way we can talk more even at night, although I don’t know if your grandfather would agree.”

Upon hearing this, Yiyi was slightly stunned. She didn’t expect Gu Tingyu to say something like that, but then she coquettishly said, ”I don’t know, you can talk to Grandpa about it when the time comes.” After she finished speaking, she hung up the phone, and her initial sense of disappointment instantly improved.

Meanwhile, on the other end of the line, Gu Tingyu laughed as he put down the receiver after the girl hung up. But time was pressing, and he immediately packed his things and set off.

The next day, after breakfast, Yiyi went to the pharmacy and found that Yu Qiulan was already there.

”Yiyi, you’re here. Actually, you didn’t need to come today, it’s just a prescription.”

Hearing this, Yiyi laughed and said, ”It’s convenient for me to come by, it doesn’t take any effort. Besides, you’re getting a prescription, I should definitely check it out.”

Hearing Yiyi’s words, Yu Qiulan’s face was full of smiles.

She was becoming more and more satisfied with this daughter-in-law.

In the end, it was Yiyi who took Yu Qiulan’s pulse, prepared a prescription for her, and explained the method of taking the herbal paste.

”Auntie, once the herbal paste is ready, I’ll bring it to you.”

Yu Qiulan waved her hand quickly upon hearing this and said, ”There’s no need for you to deliver it, I’ll come and get it myself then.”

”It’s no trouble, Auntie, I’ll be delivering some to Grandma anyway.”

”Alright then, you don’t have to bring it directly to my place, just send it to your Grandma’s, I’ll pick it up from there.”

Hearing this, Yiyi didn’t say anything more, just smiled and nodded.

Yu Qiulan looked at Yiyi with some guilt and said, ”Sigh... that Tingyu child, I didn’t expect him to be so busy lately. I heard you two planned to go shopping today, but he went back last night.”

Yiyi quickly said, ”There’s no helping it, work is important. Besides, there will be a next time when Tingyu is off, we can still have time to go shopping then.”

Seeing Yiyi being so understanding, Yu Qiulan was even more pleased and left after saying a few more words to her.

After Yu Qiulan left, Yiyi stayed at the pharmacy, and around noon, Mo Ping came over.

Mo Ping was a bit surprised to see Yiyi.

”Little boss, I didn’t expect you to be here today. I would’ve come earlier if I had known.”

Yiyi waved her hand at these words and said, ”It’s nothing, I’m just here because of Tingyu’s mother, so I came to check things out.” Then she asked, ”Is everything okay at the factory?”

”Don’t worry, little boss, everything is fine.”

Hearing this, Yiyi felt relieved.

Yiyi went back home around midday, but to her surprise, she saw Wei Zhirong the moment she arrived.

”Yiyi, you’re finally back. If you hadn’t come back, I would have gone out looking for you.”
