The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 466: Chapter 465: Unwillingness

Ji Zhengguo looked at You Zhen in front of him and said calmly, ”You really didn’t violate any discipline, but you’re not suitable for our Number One Organization, that’s why we’re transferring you somewhere else. Don’t worry, once you get over there, you’ll definitely develop even better.”

You Zhen’s face was full of unwillingness.

”But I like the Number One Organization. I don’t want to leave.”

Hearing this, Ji Zhengguo frowned slightly and finally said, ”The higher-ups have already approved it, so you’d better get ready to go.” After saying that, he didn’t say anything more and went straight back.

Watching Ji Zhengguo’s departing back, You Zhen couldn’t help clenching his fists. Without thinking, he went straight to look for Gu Tingyu.

”What is it?”

Seeing You Zhen come over, Gu Tingyu asked blandly.

”Was it you? Was it you who wants to have me transferred?”

At this moment, You Zhen couldn’t care about anything else. As soon as he saw Gu Tingyu, he blurted the question out. He’d originally been doing just fine in the Number One Organization, but ever since finishing the last mission, the leadership wanted to transfer him away. How could that not make him overthink?

Hearing this, Gu Tingyu glanced at You Zhen, nodded, and said, ”Yes, it really was me who wants you transferred.”

Hearing that, You Zhen was momentarily stunned. He hadn’t expected Gu Tingyu to admit it so directly, but what followed immediately was anger. ”So it really is you. Why did you do this?”

Gu Tingyu didn’t say anything more, his expression full of cold indifference. ”Since the leadership has already notified you, pack up your things and get ready to leave.”

”You just wait. I’m not going anywhere.”

You Zhen calmed down a bit now, his heart full of resentment, but he knew there was no use saying more to Gu Tingyu at this point. This wasn’t something Gu Tingyu could decide with just one word; he must have used the power of the Gu Family. Hmph... the You Family wasn’t that easy to mess with either. Thinking of this, he said nothing more and strode off.

Watching You Zhen’s back, Gu Tingyu withdrew his gaze indifferently.

But after You Zhen left, Ji Zhengguo came to find Gu Tingyu as well. His brows were tightly furrowed, and he couldn’t help sighing. ”Tingyu, what on earth is going on between you and You Zhen? Why are you set on getting him kicked out this time?” He knew Gu Tingyu had always had a pretty good temperament; he hadn’t expected him to be so ruthless this time.

Hearing this, Gu Tingyu said simply, ”It’s nothing. It’s just that You Zhen is too disobedient. Every time I train them, he’s the first to raise objections. And on this last mission, he disobeyed orders. Are we really supposed to keep someone like that?”

”What... that You Zhen actually did that?”

Now Ji Zhengguo’s face went very dark, and he said angrily, ”This You Zhen is way out of line. For us, obeying orders should be the top priority, and he dares not listen to you?”

”Exactly. Someone like that really can’t stay.”

Ji Zhengguo nodded in agreement and said, ”Right, we don’t want someone who doesn’t follow discipline and disobeys orders. All right, you all did very well on this mission. Take a few days and get some good rest. I’ve heard about what happened this time—turns out even Zixiao’s little sister was taken by that gang. Those people really are insanely bold. Good thing we caught them all. But we still need to thoroughly investigate whether they had anyone above them.”

Gu Tingyu nodded and said, ”Okay, I’ll keep close tabs on this case.”

”I’m at ease when you’re handling things. All right, I won’t bother you anymore.”

After Ji Zhengguo left, Gu Tingyu went back to his work. This incident had a very wide scope and was connected to the recent disappearance cases in the Southern Provinces, so he really needed to dig deep and wipe out everyone involved in one sweep, to prevent more women and children from getting hurt.

On the other side, after Yiyi got home, Mr. Ding asked about what had happened. Once he learned that both of her friends had been rescued, he nodded and said, ”As long as they’re back, that’s what matters. You’d better go rest as well. This time you’ve worked hard, tracking them for so long.”

Hearing this, Yiyi nodded. She really was exhausted; she’d chased them for so far and fought for so long, it had drained a lot of her strength.

When Ding Yuejun saw her daughter coming out of Mr. Ding’s study, she hurried forward to ask, ”Yiyi, did you get hurt at all this time out?”

Yiyi quickly shook her head with a smile and said, ”Don’t worry, Mom, I didn’t get hurt.”

Hearing that, Ding Yuejun was relieved. ”As long as you’re not hurt. Are you hungry now? How about I go make you some noodles?”

”Sure.”

After finishing the noodles, Yiyi hurried back to her room to sleep.

And after Yiyi went to rest, Yun Chu went to find Mr. Ding.

Mr. Ding was a bit surprised to see Yun Chu, and immediately asked, ”Did something happen?” Now that Yun Chu was following Yiyi around, he was afraid his granddaughter hadn’t told him the full story just now.

Yun Chu didn’t hide anything and directly went over what had happened back then, finally saying, ”That kid from the You Family doesn’t take the little miss seriously at all. He was very dismissive when he spoke to her. The little miss didn’t make an issue of it, but I feel it’s really too wrong for her to have to swallow that.”

After listening to Yun Chu, Mr. Ding slammed the table in anger. ”That’s outrageous. He actually dares look down on our Yiyi. It’s true what they say: when the top beam is crooked, the lower beams are all askew. That Old You’s character is questionable, and his grandson is no good either. I’ll remember this. I’ll definitely teach the You Family a lesson when the time comes.”

Although the You Family was powerful, he absolutely couldn’t just watch his granddaughter be wronged. Even if the Ding Family had to pay a price, he was determined to make Old You pay.

Standing to the side, Yun Chu couldn’t help suggesting, ”Old Master, how about... I just go give that You Zhen a beating?”

Mr. Ding waved his hand immediately. ”No need. Beating him up would be letting him off too lightly. You don’t have to worry about this; I’ll handle it.”

Hearing that, Yun Chu didn’t say anything more.

Yiyi, of course, had no idea someone was already planning to stick up for her. She was sleeping soundly at that moment and didn’t wake up until the next morning. When she got up, it was already past nine. Thinking about Wei Zhirong and Wen Tao’s injuries, she planned to visit the two of them today, but before she could leave the house, Fei Erya came over.

”Yiyi, I heard that Zhirong and Little Tao are both hurt. Is that true?”

Hearing this, Yiyi didn’t hide it. She just nodded and said, ”Yeah, they both got some minor injuries. I was just about to go see them. Do you want to come with me?”

Fei Erya hurriedly said, ”Of course I’m going. Let’s head out now.”

On the way there, Fei Erya couldn’t help asking, ”Yiyi, when Little Tao didn’t come to dinner that day, was she already hurt then?”
