The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 471: Chapter 470: Realization

After hearing his wife’s unwavering words, Wei Hanyou nodded and said, ”Alright, when the time comes, our family will properly entertain them.”

Meanwhile, at the other end, when Ding Yuejun arrived at the clothing store, she calmed down and began designing in earnest. However, as noon approached, Huang Yanquan suddenly came over.

Seeing Huang Yanquan, Ding Yuejun was somewhat surprised.

”Mr. Huang, what brings you here today?”

Huang Yanquan looked at Ding Yuejun with a somewhat peculiar expression. After hearing her words, he finally snapped back to reality and quickly said, ”I’ve come to discuss collaboration matters.”

He actually didn’t know why he had come here; he just suddenly felt like coming, and his heart followed his instinct. Upon seeing Ding Yuejun, he suddenly realized that he wanted to see her.

This realization startled him.

He wasn’t some young man, so he certainly understood the implications of such thoughts. Could it be that he had developed a fondness for Ding Yuejun?

But how could that be possible? The woman before him appeared young, yet she was actually nine years older than him. Since when did he develop such a penchant for older women?

Ding Yuejun naturally didn’t know that Huang Yanquan was having so many thoughts in such a brief moment. Upon hearing his words, she directly smiled and said, ”Alright, come in and sit down. But why didn’t Director Shao come along today?”

Last time, the three of them had a good talk, making her feel that this collaboration was quite promising. After all, Shao Hui was already an acquaintance, and Huang Yanquan was quite decent, so she naturally intended to collaborate.

Moreover, last time she signed an agreement with Huang Yanquan that any film or TV projects invested by him would give him priority consideration.

Hearing Ding Yuejun’s words, Huang Yanquan responded directly, ”He’ll be coming over later.”

However, truth be told, he hadn’t informed Shao Hui before coming, so after chatting with Ding Yuejun for a while, he found an excuse to go to the washroom and called Shao Hui.

When Shao Hui received Huang Yanquan’s call, he was very surprised, but upon hearing about signing a contract with Ding Yuejun, he hurriedly came over.

Seeing Shao Hui arrive, Ding Yuejun smiled and said, ”Director Shao, please have a seat.”

Shao Hui smiled and replied, ”Alright.”

The three had talked extensively during their last meal, and this time they refined the terms further, so they soon agreed upon the collaboration matters.

After they signed the contract, Ding Yuejun smiled and said, ”Pleasure to collaborate.”

Shao Hui also smiled and was about to shake hands with Ding Yuejun when Huang Yanquan suddenly stepped forward, shook hands with her, and said, ”Pleasure to collaborate.”

Shao Hui raised his eyebrows slightly at the sight but didn’t mind, simply retracting his hand and saying, ”Boss Ding, let’s have lunch together to celebrate our collaboration and wish for more future opportunities.”

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun didn’t refuse and directly said, ”Alright.”

Huang Yanquan looked approvingly at Shao Hui, feeling his suggestion was quite agreeable to him.

When the three arrived at a restaurant, Huang Yanquan asked Ding Yuejun to order the dishes.

Ding Yuejun looked at the menu, ordered some special dishes, then handed it to the two gentlemen, ”You should order some too.”

Huang Yanquan didn’t decline and directly ordered a few dishes.

Upon seeing the dishes he ordered, Ding Yuejun was slightly surprised; she realized Huang Yanquan’s tastes were quite similar to hers, as the dishes he ordered were all favorites of hers.

Whereas Shao Hui was more casual, ordering based on portion size.

Once the food was served, the three had a leisurely meal while chatting and laughing.

Because they were talking while eating, they ate slowly. When they finished the meal, it was already past one in the afternoon. Ding Yuejun looked at the two men and said, ”I’ll go back to the store first. I’ll draft the design, and once you both approve, we can proceed with production.”

Shao Hui laughed and nodded, saying, ”Alright, we’ll be looking forward to Boss Ding’s drafts.”

Huang Yanquan said, ”Let me drive you back.”

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun quickly waved her hand and said, ”No need, I can go back myself.”

Yet Huang Yanquan was persistent and ended up driving Ding Yuejun back, leaving Shao Hui by himself.

Watching the two leave, Shao Hui found it a bit odd but didn’t think much of it, heading back to the studio on his own.

When they reached the clothing store, Ding Yuejun waved goodbye to Huang Yanquan, saying, ”Mr. Huang, thank you for driving me back.”

Huang Yanquan smiled and shook his head, saying, ”No need to thank me; go on inside.”

Watching her enter the store, Huang Yanquan then left.

At that moment, his expression was quite complex. Initially, he found it hard to believe, wondering how he could be interested in an older woman. But during the meal, he suddenly realized he had ordered dishes that were all favorites of Ding Yuejun, without knowing when he remembered this.

While the three talked, he kept his attention focused on what Ding Yuejun said, showing that she indeed was different for him.

Thinking about this, Huang Yanquan couldn’t help but shake his head, feeling it might be due to his long single phase and the absence of women around him lately, leading him to be interested in a woman older than him. Looks like it was time to find a female partner.

Meanwhile, back at the store, Ding Yuejun began brainstorming. Whenever inspiration struck, she sketched a little; otherwise, she flipped through books. By the time the store closed in the evening, she went home.

”Yue Jun, you’re back.”

Seeing the person in front of her, Qu Yiqi, Ding Yuejun was a bit surprised, then smiled and said, ”Mrs. Wei, what brings you here.”

Qu Yiqi hurriedly waved her hand, saying, ”There’s no need to be so polite; I’m a few years older than you, just call me Sister Qu.”

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun didn’t argue and directly called her Sister Qu.

Upon hearing this, Qu Yiqi beamed with joy, then solemnly expressed gratitude, ”This time, our Zhirong could be saved thanks to your Yiyi and Xiao Gu; the young couple were truly helpful. So I’m inviting you over for dinner this weekend to express our thanks.”

Quickly shaking her head, Ding Yuejun said, ”No need, Zhirong and Yiyi are close friends, it’s natural for them to help.”

”No, that won’t do. Besides, nothing is obligated, so you both must come over this weekend, and as for Xiao Gu, if he’s free this weekend, he should join too.”

Seeing Qu Yiqi’s enthusiasm, Ding Yuejun couldn’t refuse anymore, finally nodding and saying, ”Alright, Yiyi and I will come; if Tingyu is available, he’ll join us.”

”That would be great.”

Seeing her agreement, Qu Yiqi was overjoyed, exchanged a few more words, and then headed back.
