Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 186: Chapter 121: Are You Sure, You Were Lonely and Cold Last Night?

”Whether or not he’s good enough for me is none of your business, is it?”

”I know I’m being a little nosy, but I mean well.”

Qiao Yuanshan explained, ”Whether you like me or not, I have to tell you this. Don’t let him fool you. He’s only with you because he’s after your money.”

”Whether he’s after my money or my body, I’m fine with it either way.”

Su Mu said coldly, ”And one more thing, Mr. Qiao. It’s incredibly rude to talk badly about people behind their backs.”

”...” Qiao Yuanshan was left speechless.

Faced with Su Mu’s firm refusal, he had hit a wall yet again. He could only leave for now and figure out another way.

He felt that Xu Yun had completely bewitched Su Mu, causing her to lose all sense of reason.

So, he called Su Mu’s family again, relaying what he ”knew” about the situation.

After Qiao Yuanshan’s interruption, Su Mu and Yu Xuan had lost their appetites.

The two of them got some food to go and brought it back to the lakeside cabin.

Xu Yun emerged from the bedroom, looked at the two of them, and smiled. ”Morning. You’re both up.”

”Good morning, Boss.”

Yu Xuan pointed to the food on the table and said, ”Miss Su and I went to the hotel and brought back breakfast for you. Go ahead and eat.”

”You’re the best to me.”

Xu Yun complained as he ate, ”Unlike some people who go back on their word, leaving me all alone in my room, cold and lonely.”

”Are you sure you were ’cold and lonely’ last night?”

”Uh, yeah. I’m sure.”

Unaware of the situation, Xu Yun continued his performance. ”You have no idea. I tossed and turned all night and couldn’t get a wink of sleep.”

Yu Xuan, listening to her boss spout utter nonsense, was cringing with secondhand embarrassment.

She desperately wanted to tell her boss to stop talking, that Miss Su knew everything.

”Oh, is that right?”

Su Mu stood up with a smile. ”What a coincidence. All that noise kept me up all night, too. How about we go back to sleep together right now?”

”Never mind, never mind.”

Seeing that she actually seemed to mean it, Xu Yun quickly shook his head. ”I was just joking! We can’t be indulging in debauchery in broad daylight. Let’s at least wait until tonight.”

After breakfast, Xu Yun went to the shore of the lake. Dressed in shorts and facing the morning sun, he went through a set of the Eight Pieces of Brocade.

In an instant, he was brimming with energy, and the exhaustion vanished from his body.

’I have to admit,’ he thought, ’this system-modified version of the Eight Pieces of Brocade is truly amazing.’

Xu Yun was even starting to wonder if it was a Cultivation Method.

Next up on the morning’s schedule was boating on the lake.

Everyone could paddle out onto the lake, admire the mountains and the water, and immerse themselves in the great outdoors.

There were two-person and four-person boats available.

Song Xiaowei, who was by herself, found them and asked to team up.

At Xu Yun’s suggestion, they all boarded a four-person boat together.

Since the boats were powered entirely by passengers manually rowing the oars, Yu Xuan and Song Xiaowei were the ones vigorously paddling the entire time.

Meanwhile, Xu Yun and Su Mu sat in the back, chatting leisurely.

Su Mu was telling Xu Yun some of her plans and ideas for the company’s future development.

Even though Xu Yun had let her manage the company, she still had to report her work and discuss her ideas with him in advance.

It was a matter of respect.

Before long, they had paddled to the most famous island on Lushan West Sea Lake.

There was truly only one tree on it, giving it the name ”A Tree in the Vast Sea.”

Next, they went to see an island shaped like a heart.

By the time they completed the circuit, more than two hours had passed.

Xu Yun and Su Mu didn’t feel a thing, but Yu Xuan and Song Xiaowei were exhausted.

But what could they do? One was his secretary, and the other was a debtor.

Finally, the boat docked at a harbor.

After going ashore, the four of them headed to the nearby Zelin Town. The town was filled with various snacks and knick-knacks, and you could also rent traditional clothing for photos.

The four of them ate their way from one end of the street to the other, buying plenty of souvenirs along the way.

Then, at Song Xiaowei’s suggestion, they changed into traditional clothing.

Xu Yun chose a Jinyi Guard uniform. Posing to the side with one hand on his saber, he looked impossibly handsome.

The sight left the other three women completely mesmerized.

As for the three women, after changing into their traditional outfits, they looked even more like classic beauties from a Jiangnan water village.

Even the costume shop owner and the photographer were stunned.

This was especially true the moment Su Mu came out.

In a historical romance, she had the perfect look of a strong female lead.

That kind of aura was truly something cultivated by one’s environment and time.

Compared to Su Mu, Yu Xuan and Song Xiaowei, who came from ordinary families, were also very beautiful after changing into their costumes. But in terms of their overall presence and spirit, they still couldn’t match Su Mu’s refined charm.

’I’ll have to find a chance to get Su Mu to wear this for me at home,’ Xu Yun thought.

’It’s sure to be a thrilling experience.’

And so, one Jinyi Guard and three women in traditional attire began to wander through the small town.

A photographer trailed behind them, snapping photos.

By the time they had finished exploring most of the town, the photoshoot was over, and they had a huge collection of beautiful photos.

The photography package only allowed them to choose 10 photos each. The rest had to be purchased separately at 30 yuan a piece!

But who was Xu Yun?

Seeing that everyone loved every single picture, he didn’t bother with choosing. He bought the entire set!

The total came to 5,200 yuan!

[Beautiful things are always hard to part with. The Host has purchased all the photos for the women, acting to ’Do as You Please.’ Reward: 100,000 in cash.]

[Bank Account Balance: 21.35 million]

After they removed their makeup, the morning was pretty much over.

After the three women divided the photos amongst themselves, everyone started heading back to the hotel. As arranged by the event organizers, the guests boarded the boats one by one to depart.

When Xu Yun, Su Mu, and the others arrived back at the original pier, an awkward problem arose.

The car was a Continental GT, and it only had two doors.

While it had four seats, the two in the back were too small to be used, or at the very least would be extremely uncomfortable.

Just as Yu Xuan and Song Xiaowei were about to resign themselves to the tight squeeze, Yan Can, whom they had met earlier, walked over.

Seeing the four of them and their one car, he smiled at Xu Yun. ”Running out of room, brother?”

”A little bit.”

”My car’s an SUV, and the back is empty. You want me to give two of them a ride?”

”Yeah? That would be great. I can’t thank you enough.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”Then I really owe you one.”

”Don’t be a stranger.”

So with his help, Yu Xuan and Song Xiaowei were able to get a ride, and the group headed back to the city.

On the way home, Su Mu told Xu Yun and Yu Xuan not to come over to her place right away. She wanted to face Li Jinshu by herself and assess the situation.

Xu Yun agreed.

He just said one thing: ”If you can’t handle it, I will!”

So when Su Mu opened the door and returned home alone, she was feeling rather apprehensive.

But the reality was not what she had expected.

When Li Jinshu saw Su Mu return, she didn’t seem the least bit unhappy. She acted just as she always did.

She turned her head and asked with a smile, ”Susu, you’re back?”

”Mhm.”

Su Mu walked over to her. ”You’ve been home the whole time? You haven’t gone out at all?”

”No, it’s not easy for me to get around.”

”Is it any better now?”

”I’m all right now.”

Li Jinshu got up and said with a smile, ”Did you sleep well at your dad’s house last night?”

”It was okay, same as always.”

”Oh, right.”

Not knowing why Li Jinshu hadn’t called out her lie, Su Mu took the initiative to say, ”Xu Yun and his group are back from their trip. I just ran into them, and I think he brought you a present.”

”He brought a gift for me? I guess he has some decency after all.”

Li Jinshu asked with a smile, ”So, did he bring a gift for you?”

”He did,” Su Mu replied.

”He must have had a wonderful time on this trip.”

Li Jinshu couldn’t help but sigh. ”What a shame I couldn’t go with you all.”

”It’s all right. Once the company’s renovations are finished, we’ll have Xu Yun take just the two of us somewhere.”

Su Mu said reassuringly, ”We’ll go have fun for a few days, just relax and make him spend a fortune on us.”
