Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 165: Chapter 115: Whether It’s Good-looking or Not, Boss Xu Has the Final Say (Part 2)

When Xu Yun heard this, he said, ”An old pro, huh? Impressive. You drive then. I’ll take the passenger seat.”

”But...”

And so, the car’s true maiden voyage was taken by Yu Xuan.

Since it was a luxury car she’d barely driven, she was exceptionally careful.

Other drivers on the road subconsciously gave the brand-new coupe a wide berth, afraid they wouldn’t be able to afford the repairs if they scraped or hit it.

According to their original plan, the two were supposed to visit the company’s construction site first, then drop Xu Yun off at the gym.

But on the way, Xu Yun received a call from Cai Shiwei.

She told him that the matter of Jiang Peiyao’s foreclosed property had been settled.

The house, with a market value of around 2 million, had been acquired for only 1.5 million—purchased from the court at a price 25% below market value.

All he needed to do now was go over, sign some papers, and complete the formalities to get the property deed.

It might have seemed like Xu Yun made the purchase casually and easily.

But in reality, a good deal like a foreclosed property wasn’t something just anyone could easily buy from the court. Without connections or the right channels, it was basically impossible.

So, they had to make a detour to the bank.

When Cai Shiwei saw yet another brand-new Bentley coupe, she clicked her tongue in silent amazement. ’Rich people really do whatever they want.’

’Is he trying to collect the entire Bentley series?’

’A sedan, a coupe... all he’s missing now is a Bentayga SUV.’

At the same time, she noticed the woman by Xu Yun’s side, Yu Xuan.

With her professional eye, she could tell at a glance that Yu Xuan was a career woman from the service industry, probably with a personality similar to her own.

She wasn’t worried about much, except the possibility that the other woman was involved in financial management. In that case, her own position would become precarious.

Cai Shiwei asked tentatively, ”President Xu, and who is this lovely lady with you?”

”My name is Yu Xuan.”

Yu Xuan introduced herself proactively. ”I’m President Xu’s private secretary.”

”A pleasure to meet you, Miss Yu.” The moment Cai Shiwei heard she was Xu Yun’s private secretary, her sense of crisis vanished.

She smiled. ”To become President Xu’s private secretary, Miss Yu must be very capable indeed.”

’No matter what her abilities are, it’s never wrong to start with a compliment.’

”She is indeed.”

Xu Yun chimed in with praise. ”Manager Cai, you have no idea. I poached her from Shanghai with a high salary. She’s responsible for all my daily affairs, my chief steward, so to speak.”

”I see.”

Cai Shiwei’s attitude became even more cordial than before. She said politely, ”Miss Yu, we will likely be in frequent contact for work in the future. If I do anything improperly, please bear with me.”

A hotel concierge could hardly compare to a bank’s financial manager.

Cai Shiwei’s current attitude was entirely due to Xu Yun’s words, which had single-handedly elevated Yu Xuan’s status and position.

In front of an outsider, he had shown her the utmost respect and dignity.

”Not at all. The same goes for you.”

Yu Xuan glanced at her boss with gratitude before replying politely, ”I’m still learning as well. I hope to coordinate with you, Manager Cai, to provide the best service for our boss.”

”Of course, of course, Miss Yu.”

”Well, you two have met today. You should exchange contact information later.”

Xu Yun said with a smile, ”Manager Cai, if you need anything in the future, you can contact Yu Xuan directly. There are some matters she can decide on her own.”

”Understood, Mr. Xu.”

After the introductions were made, Cai Shiwei began to handle the property paperwork for Xu Yun. Since he wasn’t one to manage the details, he had entrusted the entire matter to her.

Xu Yun admired Cai Shiwei’s efficiency.

So, after buying Jiang Peiyao’s house for less than market value, he decided to show his appreciation. He proactively mentioned wanting to purchase some reliable financial investment products and hoped she could recommend a few.

Hearing this, Cai Shiwei was overjoyed.

’The tree I planted is finally about to bear fruit.’

Cai Shiwei asked with a smile, ”Mr. Xu, how much are you planning to invest? The available financial products differ depending on the principal amount.”

”Manager Cai, I personally don’t understand financial products at all.”

Xu Yun said, ”I’ll just give you five million. You decide what to buy for me. Whatever you think is good, buy it.”

”Huh?”

Cai Shiwei was stunned. ”Give it to me? Mr. Xu, aren’t you afraid I’ll lose it for you?”

”To be honest, I never buy financial products, but for you, Manager Cai, I’m willing to try it once.

Although we haven’t known each other long, I really admire your abilities. So, I’m putting up five million to test your professional skills.”

Xu Yun said nonchalantly, ”If you can satisfy me, Manager Cai, I might entrust you with even more funds to manage in the future.

Of course, if you fail, this amount of money is nothing to me. I’ll just consider it testing the waters. But in that case, Manager Cai, don’t ever talk to me about buying financial products again.”

”Mr. Xu, thank you for your trust.”

Cai Shiwei’s voice was filled with emotion. ”I will definitely not let you down.”

It wasn’t the five million that excited her, but Xu Yun’s words: ”I might entrust you with even more funds to manage in the future.”

’How much more?’

All she knew was that Xu Yun’s account at her bank already had a deposit of over 20 million!

She had checked. It had taken him less than a month to go from depositing over 10 million and becoming a high-net-worth client to having over 20 million.

In other words, in less than a month, he had successively wired in over 10 million in funds.
