Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 175: Chapter 118: With Me Here Tonight, Don’t Even Think About Anyone Else

Xu Yun drove his new Continental GT, taking Yu Xuan toward the address on the invitation.

With his professional-level intermediate racing skills, he let loose once he was on the highway out of the city.

Only then did the car begin to show a fraction of its true power.

Yu Xuan had no idea her boss was such a speed demon. Sitting in the passenger seat, she watched the speedometer needle climb, and her heart pounded faster than it ever had when she was in love.

Fortunately, Xu Yun’s skills were superb. He was fast, but the ride was incredibly steady. They made a trip that should have taken an hour and a half in only about an hour.

Then, as soon as they got off the highway, they were pulled over by the traffic police. Six points on his license and a 200-yuan fine!

He was even lectured on the spot for half an hour.

So much for saving time; they lost it all and then some.

But Xu Yun didn’t regret it one bit. At least he’d had his fun.

Besides, he hadn’t been driving recklessly. He was confident in his skills, and a speed like that was well within his control.

Still, the experience made him think he should find a chance to really tear it up on a professional track sometime soon and get a real adrenaline rush.

’Otherwise, these professional driving skills of mine would be a complete waste.’

After leaving the highway, they drove a while longer and arrived at the edge of a lake, where a large parking lot was located.

It was already filled with cars, most of them Bentleys—Bentaygas, Flying Spurs, and Continentals, all with different specs.

They all seemed to be here for the car club gathering.

After parking, Xu Yun led Yu Xuan to a dock, following the signs.

At the dock, staff members in uniforms bearing the Bentley logo were guiding the guests.

A yacht was waiting, and guests were steadily boarding.

When Xu Yun and Yu Xuan walked up, he presented his invitation. After a staff member verified it, they were respectfully welcomed aboard.

The yacht wasn’t very large and didn’t have room for many passengers.

When Xu Yun and Yu Xuan boarded, there were already eight others on board, and the vessel was nearly full.

A staff member then set the yacht in motion, heading toward an island in the middle of the lake.

After dropping them off, it would turn around to pick up the other guests.

During the trip to the center of the lake, a professional tour guide was on board to tell everyone about the scenic area.

”The West Sea of Lushan is a scenic area of mountains and lakes. This body of water covers 308 square kilometers with an average depth of 45 meters, making it the largest earth-fill dam reservoir in Asia.

The entire body of water contains over 8,000 islands of all sizes. The smallest is only as large as a single tree, standing alone in the water.

Not only that, but during this season, you might also see countless Coral Jellyfish, which are a beautiful sight to behold.

Once you are on the island, you will also find floating bridges connecting the various islets, allowing you to travel between them freely.

The lake’s water is Grade 1 quality—crystal clear, with visibility up to 11 meters. The air quality in this scenic area is also Grade 1, rich in negative oxygen ions.”

The guide went on detailing facts about the scenic area, but Xu Yun and Yu Xuan were admiring the surrounding scenery and weren’t really listening.

He did catch one sentence, however.

To host this car club meeting and ensure everyone had a good experience, Bentley had spent a fortune to book one of the islands exclusively for the event.

So for the next two days, it wouldn’t be open to the public.

It was reserved exclusively for them to enjoy the party.

You had to admit, Bentley was putting on quite the lavish affair.

Half an hour later, they successfully reached their destination and disembarked. Staff were waiting on the shore to lead them to the hotel to check in.

The hotel rooms were assigned based on the number of guests, with each person receiving their own 40- to 50-square-meter suite, which resembled a small lakeside villa.

It evoked a poetic feeling of warmth and open waters, as if facing the sea when spring blossoms bloom.

After getting them settled, a staff member said, ”Mr. Xu, Miss Yu, the gathering won’t officially begin until three in the afternoon. Please feel free to look around and enjoy the surrounding scenery until then.”

”Alright, thank you.”

After Yu Xuan finished tidying up their luggage, she asked, ”Boss, should we go for a walk, or rest in our rooms for a while?”

”Let’s go. We can take a look around. It’s my first time here.”

...

Meanwhile, Qiao Yuanshan, having picked up Su Mu, arrived a little later. They were probably in the last group of guests.

At the dock, after they parked, Su Mu made a point of scanning the lot, looking for a certain person’s car.

And sure enough, she found it.

’Looks like I came to the right place after all.’

Half an hour later, as she was boarding the yacht to the island, she asked a staff member curiously, ”Are we the last group?”

”That’s right, miss.”

The staff member replied, ”We just dropped off a group on the island right before you.”

”Then when do we return?”

”According to the schedule, it should be sometime before noon tomorrow. You’ll need to stay one night on the island.”

Hearing this, Qiao Yuanshan, who was standing beside her, immediately feigned innocence. ”What? We have to stay overnight? How come no one told me?”

”I thought it was just for this afternoon and that they’d take us back after dinner.”

”Sir, that should have been written on the invitation.”

The staff member watched his clumsy performance and said, ”Perhaps you didn’t read it carefully.”

”Is that so?”

Qiao Yuanshan feigned confusion, then turned to Su Mu.

He said sheepishly, ”Miss Su, I’m so sorry. I honestly didn’t know the organizers had planned it this way. It’s my fault for not reading the details carefully.

If you don’t want to stay, I can have the boat turn around and take you back right now.”

Qiao Yuanshan had expected Su Mu to call him out on it, or at least complain that he had deliberately kept this from her.

But to his surprise, Su Mu wasn’t the least bit upset. Instead, she smiled and said, ”It’s no problem. I’ll just treat it as a little vacation to relax.
