Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 162: Chapter 113: Holy Cow, He’s Got a Private Butler Now?

”Uh...”

Xu Yun said tentatively, ”How long are we going to sneak around like this? Why don’t we just tell Li Jinshu and be open about it?”

”Don’t you dare.”

Su Mu immediately threatened, ”If you dare tell her without my permission, you can forget about getting into my bed ever again.”

”Fine, I won’t.”

Xu Yun deliberately said in a joking tone, ”Then I’ll just get into Li Jinshu’s bed. I think she has a thing for me.”

Su Mu was speechless.

”Hey, it was just a little joke. Look at you, you look like you want to eat me alive.”

”That’s not something to joke about.”

Su Mu said, ”Xu Yun, promise me you won’t make a move on Jinshu.”

”What if she’s the one who makes a move on me? Should I give in or not?”

Su Mu was speechless.

’That’s actually possible. Li Jinshu’s recent attention and attitude toward Xu Yun have been clearly different from before. When she found out Xu Yun was messing around with other women, she seemed to care, to get jealous. Even though she hid it well, Su Mu could still tell. Sigh, she had no idea what to do. Given her own relationship with Xu Yun, if Jinshu also fell for him, how would they ever handle it?’

Su Mu glared at Xu Yun and said, ”Even so, you can’t touch her. Between the two of us, you can only choose one.”

With that, she opened the door and left.

Xu Yun was speechless.

’Huh? You’re too late. I’ve already done it.’

...

「The next morning.」

Xu Yun woke up and opened his phone to a WeChat message from Jiang Peiyao.

Her younger brother, Jiang Ping’an, had been saved after a ten-hour surgery. His life was no longer in danger for the time being, and he had been moved to a VIP room to receive standard, routine treatment.

Furthermore, the specialists had created a three-month treatment plan tailored to her brother’s specific condition.

As long as the treatment went smoothly over these three months without any deterioration in his condition, it was highly likely his illness could be brought under control.

If the results were good, he might even be discharged from the hospital!

This made Jiang Peiyao ecstatic, and her gratitude for Xu Yun deepened.

If it weren’t for Xu Yun’s help—getting the specialists, chartering a plane—her brother might not have made it.

Xu Yun was also happy to see the good news.

After all, he had indirectly saved the life of a six-year-old child, allowing him to continue living in this world and see all the beauty the future held.

’This is a supreme act of merit.’

He took the initiative to call her, offering his concern and comfort, and told her how happy he was for her.

Jiang Peiyao also mentioned something very subtly.

She had quit her job at the jewelry store and planned to rent a place there to stay with her brother during his three months of treatment.

Therefore, she wouldn’t be able to come back for these three months, and some things... might not be possible.

Xu Yun understood what she meant and said with a laugh, ”So that’s the kind of lecherous man you think I am, huh?”

”No, it’s that I feel guilty.”

Jiang Peiyao said, ”You’ve helped me so much, but I...”

”It’s fine. When you get back, you can make it all up to me.”

”Ah?”

”Or if I really miss you, I can just come find you.”

Xu Yun laughed. ”Transportation is so convenient these days. I can come at night and leave in the morning.”

”Okay.”

Jiang Peiyao nodded happily. ”Then I’ll rent a bigger, nicer place near the hospital.”

”That works.”

Xu Yun asked, ”Do you have enough money to rent a place? Want me to transfer you some?”

”No need, I have enough.”

Jiang Peiyao said with a smile, ”You’ve already fronted the medical expenses for me, so I still have some of my original savings left.”

”Alright then. If you’re short on cash, remember to tell me.”

”Okay, I’m hanging up now.”

Xu Yun laughed. ”Before you hang up, give me a kiss.”

”Oh.”

Jiang Peiyao looked at the people around her, shyly stepped to the side, and said with a blush, ”Mwah!”

Then she quickly hung up the phone.

Even though the two had already slept together, that little exchange still made her heart beat faster involuntarily.

It felt just like a first love!

So sweet.

A little while after Xu Yun finished flirting with Jiang Peiyao, the doorbell rang.

It was Yu Xuan.

”Why didn’t you sleep in? What are you doing here so early?”

Yu Xuan replied with a smile, ”Mr. Xu, as your personal life assistant, I’m here to prepare your breakfast.”

”Isn’t that a maid’s job?”

”But you don’t have a maid right now, so I’ll be handling it for the time being.”

Yu Xuan asked with a smile, ”Mr. Xu, what do you usually like to eat?”

”Buns. Steamed buns.”

Hearing this, Yu Xuan froze for a moment, then started to take off her clothes.

Seeing this, Xu Yun asked in confusion, ”What are you doing?”

”Mr. Xu, didn’t you say you wanted...” Yu Xuan blushed, trailing off.

Xu Yun couldn’t help but laugh. ”Uh, what are you thinking? I meant actual buns, the kind made from flour.”

Yu Xuan was speechless.

She awkwardly buttoned her clothes back up, wishing she could find a hole to crawl into and disappear.

’So embarrassing!’

There was no flour at home, and she didn’t know how to make them anyway, so she ended up making Xu Yun a bowl of tomato and egg noodles.

As Xu Yun ate, he asked, ”Have you eaten?”

”Yes, I ate next door.”

”What about the other two? Are they not up yet?”

Yu Xuan replied, ”It seems they had something to do and have already left.”

”Then you’re free to do what you want, too. Don’t worry about me.”

Xu Yun said, ”After I finish eating, I’m heading to the fitness center to work out. I probably won’t be back until dinnertime.”

”Okay, I understand, Mr. Xu. I’ll prepare dinner.”

Yu Xuan didn’t feel that their relationship had changed just because she had slept with Xu Yun once.

She still maintained the professionalism expected of a private housekeeper.

She knew her relationship with Xu Yun was like supply and demand—no emotions, only benefits.

Xu Yun could give her the salary she wanted, and she could provide him with all of her services, whether domestic or... physical.

As long as Xu Yun needed it, she was available.

’This isn’t shameful. At least I only serve one man. I’m much cleaner than those call girls who sell themselves.’

After breakfast, Xu Yun went to the fitness center.

In the morning, he had swimming practice with Sun Yi, and in the afternoon, he was training on the machines with Zhang Jiaxin.

While Xu Yun was away, Yu Xuan’s time was her own; she could do whatever she wanted.

But she didn’t waste it. Instead, she quietly signed up for a class to learn how to make steamed buns.

Meanwhile, the other women were busy with their own affairs.

Su Mu and Liang Yan began negotiations for investing in short-form dramas.

They had agreed in principle, but there were still some legal procedures and other details to sort out.

Although the two were enemies and couldn’t stand the sight of each other because of Xu Yun, they were quite professional when it came to making money and talking business, not letting their emotions get in the way.

Take profit-sharing, for instance!

President Liang proposed a 50-50 split, but Su Mu insisted on 60-40. Neither would back down, and they were one step away from calling Xu Yun in to act as a referee.

In the end, however, it was Liang Yan who couldn’t hold out. After she took a step back, Su Mu signed the contract with her and transferred the funds.

Li Jinshu, for her part, was buried in work at the construction site with Ning Qian, supervising the workers to get the company’s renovation work finished as soon as possible.

When she first saw Ning Qian driving Xu Yun’s Porsche, her feelings were incredibly complicated.

’To think I’d lose out to a temporary hire for the front desk. It felt a bit unfair.’

After she came back that day, she brought it up.

Xu Yun felt a bit guilty too.

’This isn’t her being unreasonable. I really haven’t been treating them equally.’

Since he wasn’t using his car for the next few days anyway, he generously gave her his Bentley to drive for the time being.

He planned to buy her her own car in a few days when he had the time.

Then Xu Yun glanced at Su Mu.

’My Su Mu is still the best. She doesn’t need anything and doesn’t compete for anything!’

And so, every day at the company construction site, the workers would see two beautiful women arrive—one in a Porsche, the other in a Bentley.

They wondered what kind of man the boss of this building was to have two such beautiful women at the same time.

What was just the starting point for others was an endpoint they could never hope to reach in their entire lives.

But compared to Li Jinshu’s jealousy, Ning Qian wasn’t competitive at all.

She was very content and wouldn’t fight over such things.

In her heart, she understood perfectly well that when it came to Li Jinshu, any talk of friendship was fake.

’She’s just like me, one of Xu Yun’s private women. Because that night, when Li Jinshu was sending photos to Xu Yun, I was right there and saw everything clearly.’

Ning Qian had just been pretending not to know all along.

「That evening, Xu Yun returned from his workout.」

As soon as he walked in, Yu Xuan handed him an invitation, saying that the building management had delivered it that afternoon.

Xu Yun opened it and saw that it was from the Bentley dealership. It was an invitation to a summer car enthusiasts’ meet-up, which was also a private banquet, at 2 p.m. the day after tomorrow. The location was the West Sea of Lushan, which required a boat trip to reach.

He could bring a companion, and the event would last for one day and one night.
