Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 47: Chapter 47: That Look in Her Eyes, Like a Baby Craving Milk

”Am I handsome or what?”

In the private room, Xu Yun suddenly turned to Ning Qian. ”Why are you staring at me instead of enjoying the beautiful night view?”

”I think you’re better to look at than the night view.”

Ning Qian smiled, a little embarrassed. ”Thank you for bringing me here today.”

”’Thank you’ is for strangers.”

Xu Yun stood up and asked, ”Do you like the view from here?”

”I love it.”

Ning Qian answered honestly, ”I once saw one of my colleagues post on their social media that they came here to eat. They weren’t in a private room, though, just out in the main dining area.

”Back then, I said I didn’t care, but deep down, I was thinking, ’It would be so nice if I could come here to eat and see the view someday.’”

”So, I guess I made your wish come true today?”

”Yes, you did.”

Ning Qian said happily, ”Thanks to you, I ate more expensive food, sat in a more expensive spot, and saw a better view than she did.”

”I’m glad you like it.”

Xu Yun put his arm around her. ”I’m going to get you a membership card for this place and load some money onto it. You can bring your colleagues here for a meal whenever you feel like it.

”That way, they’ll know that even if you, Ning Qian, are a gold digger, you’ve at least found a reliable man to dig gold from.”

”Thank you.”

”’Thank you’ again? You need a spanking.”

Pretending to be angry, Xu Yun gave Ning Qian’s perky bottom two firm pats and threatened, ”If you say it again, I’ll have to pull down your pants to do it.”

”Really?” Ning Qian looked expectant.

Xu Yun: ”...”

’A woman who’s had a taste of it really gets thirsty after the first time.’

’That look in her eyes... she’s like a baby wanting milk.’

”Alright, we’ve had our fill. Time to go home.”

Xu Yun pressed the service bell. A moment later, the floor manager knocked and entered.

”Hello, Mr. Xu. How can I help you?”

”The check, please.”

”Of course.”

The floor manager said with a smile, ”Mr. Xu, your total today comes to 53,000 yuan. If you have a membership, you can enjoy a 10% discount.”

”Can I sign up for one now?”

”Yes, you can.”

The floor manager explained, ”We have three membership tiers. The first is our regular membership. There’s no minimum deposit; you just pay as you go and receive a 3% discount.

”Next is the Platinum membership card. This requires a 50,000 yuan deposit to open and gives you a 10% discount on all your meals.

”Finally, we have the Diamond membership card. This requires a 100,000 yuan deposit and offers a 15% discount.

”Mr. Xu, which one would you like?”

”The third one.”

Xu Yun didn’t hesitate. ”And load 200,000 yuan onto it.”

”Excellent, Mr. Xu.”

The floor manager said gleefully, ”I’ll take you to the front desk to get that processed right away.”

At the cashier’s desk, Xu Yun swiped his card and successfully registered for a Diamond membership card.

[Life is like a massive game. The Host did as he pleased by registering for a Diamond membership card at the restaurant, becoming its most distinguished guest. Reward: 400,000 in cash!]

Bank Account Balance: 5,050,000.

Listening to the system’s voice in his head, Xu Yun knew his savings had just broken the five million mark.

’Previously, the only way I could have imagined having five million in savings was by winning the lottery. There was absolutely no other possibility.’

’But the lottery... how should I put it?’

’Anyone with a bit of education and a brain understands that it’s just a rigged game, plain and simple.’

’It’s like playing rock-paper-scissors with the house, but the house gets to make its move half an hour after you’ve made yours.’

’How could you possibly win?’

’Otherwise, why do you think it’s classified as a charity and called the ”Welfare Lottery”?’

’Buying a lottery ticket is, in itself, an act of welfare—a donation to charity.’

’People who buy lottery tickets and still dream of hitting the jackpot should be dragged out and shot. Their intentions are impure!’

’When we do good deeds, we shouldn’t expect anything in return!’

This was also why Xu Yun had never bought a lottery ticket in all these years.

Because his intentions were impure; he really wanted to win, not do a good deed!

”Mr. Xu, the cost of your meal has just been deducted from the card.”

The floor manager said respectfully, ”In the future, you can use this card to get priority reservations, essentially jumping the queue, and you can also use it to pay directly.”

”Alright, I understand.”

After leaving the restaurant, Xu Yun casually handed the card to Ning Qian. ”Here, hold on to this. Don’t lose it, or you might go hungry.”

”Okay.” Ning Qian took the membership card, which held more money than her own bank account, and carefully tucked it into her purse.

’I could afford to lose my own bank card, but not this one.’

’Because this card somehow didn’t require a PIN. Anyone who had it could use it to pay for a meal.’

Ning Qian really wanted to complain to the restaurant. ’The way this card is set up is so illogical.’

’What if I lose it and someone else finds it?’

’It’s not secure at all!’

What she didn’t know was that from a rich person’s perspective, if you lost a card like this, you just lost it. It wasn’t that much money, so it was nothing to worry about.

Besides, while the card didn’t have a PIN and could be used by anyone, every time it was used, the restaurant had to swipe it for registration first, which would automatically send a notification to the card owner’s phone.

Without the owner’s permission, a single phone call was all it took to lock the card, rendering it useless.

”Come on, I’ll take you home.”

On the way back that night, while on Bingjiang Road, Xu Yun lowered the car’s roof for the first time, instantly transforming it into a convertible.

The red convertible was flashy as hell, attracting a lot of attention along the road.

Ning Qian sat in the passenger seat, the cool evening breeze on her face.

Eating at a high-end restaurant, riding home in a luxury sports car... these were things she had never even dreamed of before.

But because she had met Xu Yun, it had all become a reality.

She no longer had to envy anyone.

She wished the car could just keep driving forever, with no end in sight.

But reality was cruel.

An hour and a half later, the car came to a smooth stop at the entrance to her dormitory’s residential complex.

Her eyes sultry and alluring, Ning Qian asked reluctantly, ”Are you sure you don’t need me to keep you company tonight?”

Ever since last time, she felt her body had changed.

Especially in *that* department. It was no longer something she could take or leave; now, she was filled with anticipation.

”We need to follow a path of sustainable development. You don’t want me to work myself to death, do you?”

Xu Yun chuckled and declined. ”You’ll have to control yourself for now. Let me rest for a few days, then I’ll come find you for another battle.”

”Okay.”

Ning Qian nodded, then laughed. ”I hope you won’t think I’m too greedy then, wanting to eat all the time.”

”Don’t worry, it’s an all-you-can-eat buffet.”

As he spoke, Xu Yun took a phone out of the car’s center console and handed it to her. ”When I was buying a phone for myself today, I noticed yours seemed pretty old, so I got you one too. A white ’Far Ahead’.”

”Thank you.” Ning Qian happily hugged Xu Yun and gave him another kiss.

Xu Yun feigned annoyance. ”You’re saying ’thank you’ to me again?”

”Hahaha...”

Ning Qian got out of the car and said cheerfully, ”I was wrong! Next time we meet, you won’t have to lift a finger. I’ll accept my punishment proactively.”

Xu Yun: ”...”
