Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 31: Chapter 31: How Would You Rate My Driving Skills?

When Xu Yun opened his eyes in the morning, the other side of the bed was empty.

He thought Ning Qian had left without so much as a goodbye.

The two of them had been too wild last night.

After the first time, once she had gotten used to it, they had gone at it several more times.

They kept going until midnight, only stopping after she repeatedly cried out and begged for mercy. Utterly exhausted, she had fallen fast asleep.

Xu Yun checked the time. Just as he was about to get up, get ready, and head to the office, Ning Qian walked in, barefoot. She was wearing one of his white shirts, leaving her long, fair, and delicate legs bare.

She looked like a cool, refreshing treat.

’They’re both saleswomen, but she gives off a much better vibe than that saleswoman from the Porsche dealership yesterday.’

’They’re not even in the same league!’

’Maybe it’s because Ning Qian hadn’t started to fall from grace before she met me.’

”You’re awake?”

Ning Qian walked over and propped herself up on the bed beside him, smiling. ”I got up and took a shower, but I didn’t have any clothes, so I found one of your shirts to wear.”

”It’s such an expensive shirt. You don’t mind, do you?”

Because it was a man’s shirt, it was quite loose on her, leaving the collar wide open. With a single glance, one could see a pair of ripe, bountiful honeydew melons from the Western Regions.

’The most beautiful fruit of summer.’

’And Xu Yun happened to love honeydew melons.’

”It’s fine. In fact, you wearing that at home makes things more... convenient for me.”

After last night, the sight of such melons immediately piqued Xu Yun’s interest. Unable to restrain himself, he reached out and took hold of them.

”Ah~”

Ning Qian let out a soft cry, her body jolting as if struck by electricity. He had seized her vital points.

”Don’t.”

Ning Qian quickly pleaded for mercy.

’For some reason, the Xu Yun from last night had seemed tireless, a man possessed.’

’It was truly a painful pleasure for her!’

”Alright.”

Xu Yun agreed that he shouldn’t go too far so early in the morning.

But even as he said he would stop, his hands continued their mischievous exploration.

Ning Qian let him do as he pleased, not stopping him, merely biting her lip to keep from making a sound.

Seeing this, Xu Yun reluctantly stopped and chuckled. ”Why don’t you sleep in a little longer?”

”I have to work today.”

Able to catch her breath, Ning Qian let out a sigh of relief.

’She was honestly afraid he was about to get forceful again!’

”What are you talking about?”

Xu Yun said helplessly, ”I was actually asking about my driving skills.”

”Right. And I was talking about your driving skills.”

Ning Qian snuggled into Xu Yun’s embrace, a sly, playful smile on her face. ”Well, it was my first time... taking a ride. I thought you were incredible. I don’t know about anyone else, and I don’t want to know.”

Xu Yun: ”...”

”Alright, I need to get changed and ready for work.”

Ning Qian planted a kiss on Xu Yun’s cheek, then rose and escaped his clutches. ”I made some breakfast for you in the kitchen,” she said. ”I’m not sure if it’s to your taste, but make sure you eat something later. You need to replenish your strength.”

”Ning Qian!”

Sensing her excessive concern and worried she might get the wrong idea, Xu Yun said, ”I think there are some things...”

”You don’t have to say it. I know.”

Ning Qian cut him off with an awkward laugh. ”Don’t worry. I know my place. I won’t get any ideas I shouldn’t have.”

”That’s good.”

’I have to admit, Ning Qian really gets it. She knows her boundaries.’

Xu Yun said, ”Before you go, bring me that small case from yesterday.”

”Okay,” Ning Qian agreed, obediently walking over to get it.

’In truth, she’d been curious about it since last night.’

’What was inside that case? It looked incredibly valuable.’

When Xu Yun saw her bring it over, he got right up and walked toward her, not bothering with the fact that he was naked.

Even though she had already seen him, Ning Qian still blushed.

’A real man doesn’t sweat the small stuff!’

Then, right in front of her, Xu Yun opened his small case.

Instantly, bars of gold, all of different sizes and arranged neatly, appeared before her eyes.

Ning Qian’s eyes went wide.

’She never would have imagined it was a case full of gold!’

’Who just casually carries around a case full of gold bars?’

’This was some next-level nouveau riche behavior.’

Xu Yun took out the smallest one, a 30-gram gold bar, and handed it to her. ”This is for you. Keep it as a collectible.”

”...” Ning Qian was speechless.

Seeing her stunned expression, Xu Yun smiled. ”You’ve earned this. Think of it as a gift for your first time.”

”Thank you.”

Overcome with excitement, Ning Qian hugged Xu Yun and gave him a kiss. She wasn’t one for false modesty, so she happily accepted it.

’Wasn’t this the whole reason she was with Xu Yun? For money, for a better life?’

”Do you need me to keep you company tonight?”

Xu Yun shook his head with a smile. ”No need. You should rest for a few days, too. Build up your strength. Maybe next time you can turn the tables on me.”

”...”

After Ning Qian left, Xu Yun got out of bed and started eating the breakfast she had made.

A fried egg and a bowl of millet porridge.

’His relationship with Ning Qian was simple.’

’There was no love between them.’

’It was nothing more than a transaction: one was greedy for money, the other was driven by lust.’

’Both of them knew it full well!’

’But at least Ning Qian was upfront about what she wanted from him. She wasn’t coy about it, and her greed wasn’t the annoying kind.’

’That’s why he was willing to treat her a little better, to give her a little more.’

’He figured it would be the same with any other women he got involved with in the future.’

’The ones who were obedient and willing to stick with him, he’d give them what they deserved. He wouldn’t be stingy.’

’As for those who weren’t willing, it would just be a one-night stand. One romp in the hay and they’d go their separate ways.’

’In any case, for the time being, he, Xu Yun, had no intention of finding a steady girlfriend to tie him down.’

’If you don’t live it up while you’re young and rich, are you supposed to wait until you’re old and gray?’

’That would be a huge disservice to his Divine Rich System.’

’Back when he was broke, the sheer weight of poverty had suppressed all his desires.’

’Now that he had money, he couldn’t hold them back even if he tried!’

’So his motto was to live one day at a time, to not worry about tomorrow.’

’When it came to women, he could fall in love every day, but he would absolutely never get married!’

Just as Xu Yun was in the middle of this philosophical restructuring, his phone buzzed with a new message.

He opened it.

Su Mu: [Are you planning on skipping work again today?]

Xu Yun grinned.

[What’s wrong? You miss me already, sis?]

[...]

Su Mu: [I’m just giving you a friendly reminder. If you don’t get here soon, I’m docking your pay for being late. Double.]

[Sis, please don’t! As long as you don’t dock my pay, I’m willing to sell my body.]

Su Mu: [...]

After breakfast, Xu Yun drove his Porsche 911 to the office.

The moment he arrived, Li Xiaoguang called him into his office.

Xu Yun figured Li Xiaoguang was finally ready to give him trouble, but instead, he just placed a file folder in front of him.

”Manager Jiang from the client’s side called me yesterday. He said you’re very capable.”

”That being the case, the company just took on a new project. I want you to draw up a proposal for it.”

”The boss wants to review it himself at the meeting next week. I hope you won’t disappoint us.”

”...” Xu Yun was speechless.

Seeing his reaction, Li Xiaoguang pressed him, ”What are you standing there stunned for? Take it and get to work.”

”There’s one thing I need to tell you.”

Xu Yun picked up the folder. ”Yesterday, Manager Jiang mentioned that due to certain requirements for their event, they have to switch to a young, beautiful female host. They’re willing to increase the fee.”

”And where am I supposed to find you a female host?!”

Li Xiaoguang grumbled, ”We don’t have anyone available at the company right now.”

”That’s not my problem. I’m just responsible for the proposal and passing along the message.”

Xu Yun spread his hands. ”Finding the personnel is the company’s job.”

With that, he turned and left.

”...” Li Xiaoguang was speechless.

’Damn it. Xu Yun has less and less respect for me these days.’

’You need someone, do you?’

’Fine! You’re asking me for someone? I’ll go ask Su Mu for someone!’
