Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 41: Chapter 41: So You’re Scared After Teasing Me?

Inside the Marriott Hotel.

Xu Yun woke up to find his phone had fallen to the side, its battery dead.

He got out of bed and rubbed his lower back. It was a little sore.

It must have been from the strenuous day-and-night activity over the past two days. He’d lost a bit of his Vitality.

’Sigh. I’ve been too indulgent, way too indulgent.’

’I need to practice some restraint, can’t be grinding so hard!’

After washing his face and getting dressed, Xu Yun picked up the money Li Jinshu had left on the bedside table the night before and went downstairs.

After settling the bill and checking out at the front desk, he had 130 yuan left.

It was a good thing he had that 130 yuan. Otherwise, with his phone dead, he would’ve had no way to get a ride.

Xu Yun went to the roadside, hailed a taxi to the bar from last night, found his car, and drove toward the office.

It was destined to be another day of being late.

When he got to the office and had just sat down, Xiaopang said, ”Manager Su was just here. She saw you were late and said that when you arrived, you should go to her office.”

Xu Yun was speechless.

’Has this Su Mu got nothing better to do lately?’

’She never used to bother with this stuff. At most, she’d glance at the attendance sheet at the end of the month and take care of it for me.’

’Now she’s got her eyes on me, just waiting to catch me being late, huh?’

”There’s a coffee delivery coming later. Let everyone know I ordered it.”

”You ordered coffee again?”

Xiaopang asked, bewildered, ”Do you seriously have so much money you don’t know what to do with it?”

He used to love Starbucks, but now, thanks to Xu Yun, everyone was about to puke from drinking it so much.

After all, no matter how good something is, who can stand drinking it every single day?

”We’re all colleagues. It’s not that much money.”

Xu Yun grinned. ”The company is my home, and you are all my family. Isn’t it perfectly normal for me to treat my family to coffee?”

Xiaopang was speechless.

’Right, right, the company is your home, and you treat us like workhorses.’

As Xu Yun got up and headed for Su Mu’s office, the system’s voice rang out in his mind.

[To maintain his standing among colleagues, the host has chosen to Do as You Please by buying coffee at the company every day, gaining everyone’s unanimous approval. Reward: 50,000 yuan in cash.]

Bank Account Balance: 4,720,000 yuan

A mere 50,000 was nothing Xu Yun cared about.

He felt it was like clocking in for work. Treat his colleagues to a cup of coffee each day, and he’d get 50,000 yuan.

However, he had discovered this task could only be completed once per day.

There was no reward for a second time; it was impossible to farm money indefinitely.

’The system’s purpose is probably just to encourage me to experience new things and enjoy life, not to become a money-farming machine.’

Originally, Manager Li was also a ”clock-in” point, but he was unstable, and he’d been keeping a much lower profile lately.

He knocked and entered Su Mu’s office.

Xu Yun asked with a smile, ”You were looking for me?”

Su Mu was sitting at her desk, looking down at something. She didn’t raise her head or acknowledge him.

’It’s first thing in the morning, and she’s playing games with me again?’

’Give her an inch and she’ll take a mile.’

Xu Yun wasn’t about to indulge her.

He took two steps forward, reached out, and hooked her chin with two fingers, tilting her head up.

Su Mu hadn’t expected Xu Yun to be so ”brazen.”

She looked at him, flushed with anger and embarrassment. ”What are you doing? Let go.”

”I’m talking to you.”

Xu Yun released her. ”Well, you were ignoring me. I had no other choice.”

Su Mu was speechless.

Xu Yun asked with a grin, ”So, what did you need me for?”

”Why were you late today? I tried calling your phone, but it was off!”

”You’re not my woman. Why do you care?”

Xu Yun replied casually, ”I was late. The worst you can do is dock my attendance bonus. You said it yourself, I don’t care about a few hundred yuan.”

”According to company policy, if you’re late without a valid reason multiple times, I can fire you.”

”I don’t believe you’d have the heart to fire me.”

Su Mu: ”...”

”See? I knew you couldn’t do it.”

Xu Yun continued, ”If I left, who would come to the office to flirt with you? Wouldn’t that be boring?”

”In your dreams.”

Su Mu retorted with a smile, ”Who’s flirting with you, you shameless jerk!”

”Alright, alright. If you say so.”

Seeing her pretend to be serious, Xu Yun chuckled. ”If you really want to know what I was doing, I’ll tell you. I couldn’t sleep last night, so I went to a bar and messed around with another woman. That’s why I woke up late.”

Su Mu was speechless.

”Want to know who it was?”

Xu Yun teased, ”Just ask, and I’ll tell you.”

”Not interested.”

Su Mu shot him a glare. ”Didn’t I tell you yesterday? I found a female intern for you. She’s a graduating senior from the Communication University. You’re to go pick her up today and bring her to the company to register and complete her onboarding.”

”I have to pick her up?”

Xu Yun was surprised. ”Since when do interns at our company get such great treatment? Can’t she come on her own? She needs someone to pick her up!”

”I’m telling you to pick her up, so just go. Stop asking so many questions.”

”Is she pretty?”

Xu Yun asked, ”I’ll go if she’s pretty. Otherwise, have someone else do it.”

”She’s gorgeous. I’ve seen her picture. She’s even prettier than your Sister Su.”

Su Mu laughed. ”Isn’t that what you asked for? Young and pretty!”

”Wow, really? You’re the best, Sister Su.”

Catching Su Mu off guard, Xu Yun pulled her over, pinned her against the wall, and with lightning speed, stole a kiss from her lips.

Flushed with anger and embarrassment, Su Mu looked at Xu Yun and said, ”You’re messing around in the office again!”

”Sis, that outfit looks so good on you today. I couldn’t help but want a kiss.”

Xu Yun made a smacking sound with his lips and grinned. ”I’m off to pick her up. Don’t miss me too much.”

With that, he let her go, turned around, and beat a hasty retreat.

Freed from his grasp, Su Mu watched the guilt-ridden Xu Yun flee. The angry expression on her face was gone, replaced by the slight upturn of her lips and a hint of a smile in her eyes.

She gently touched the lips Xu Yun had just kissed.

’So you do know fear after teasing me.’

She returned to her desk.

Su Mu looked down at her clothes and mused meaningfully to herself, ”If you knew that your little lover picked out this outfit for me, I wonder what you’d be feeling.”

Unconsciously, it seemed she had already begun to quietly accept some of Xu Yun’s teasing and intimate actions.

Her body and heart even held a bit of anticipation for his ”improper” behavior.

Su Mu couldn’t help but reflect.

’Why is this happening?’

’Could it be... that I’ve just been abstinent for too long?’

...

Once he got in the car, Xu Yun realized he’d forgotten to get the intern’s phone number and address.

Most importantly, his phone was dead!

He had a car charger, but no cable.

’Forget it.’

Xu Yun looked at his Xiaomi phone and figured it was time for an upgrade.

He’d completely forgotten about it these past few days.

He executed a perfect drifting turn and headed for the nearest commercial street, finding a random parking spot.

Then, he strode into a Huawei flagship store.

’Now that I have money, of course I should support domestic brands.’

’Besides, he’d always wanted one of those ’far ahead of the competition’ phones.’

’He didn’t have much money before and couldn’t bring himself to buy one.’

’Now? Top of the line, no question!’

A phone store wasn’t a luxury boutique; they didn’t have a staff of uniformed beauties or put on any airs.

Most of the employees were just ordinary people. The main vibe was ”unremarkable.”

And the store was packed.

A male employee walked over and asked with a smile, ”Hey, man. What kind of phone are you looking for?”

”The MT60 Pro. Do you have it in stock?”

Xu Yun knew this phone was a hot item recently and was out of stock in many places.

”We do.”

The employee explained, ”But because so many customers have been buying it lately, we’re probably out of some colors.”

”That’s fine. Let’s take a look first.”

”Okay.”

The employee led Xu Yun to a counter. ”Take a look. these are our display models. We also have the prices for the various configurations. See which model and color you like.”

Without a moment’s hesitation, Xu Yun answered, ”Black. Top of the line.”

”Sir.”

The employee said, ”For that configuration, we’re already out of black. We do have it in other colors, though. Would you like to consider one of those?”

”But I only want black.”

Xu Yun really didn’t like the other colors. ”Is there any other way you can get one for me? Money isn’t an issue.”

”We’re really out of stock.”

When the employee heard Xu Yun say money wasn’t an issue, a glimmer of hope appeared in his eyes, and he immediately started introducing another phone.

”Sir, how about this one instead? The MT60 RS, the Extraordinary Master.”

We have this one in black. It has slightly better specs than the MT60 Pro, but it’s also a bit more expensive.”

”Alright, show me.”
