Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 37: Chapter 37: So Rich, It’s Simply Inhuman

In the bar.

The massive LED screen lit up, displaying the view from Xu Yun and Li Jinshu’s booth.

The host’s excited voice rang out.

”Let’s congratulate the guests in booth M3 for ordering a set of the Ultimate Carnival!”

”Drink the Ultimate Carnival and enjoy the good life.”

As the host’s voice echoed, the bar manager and Zhao Dong personally came out, carrying a liquor stand.

Behind them was a long procession of beautiful cocktail waitresses, all uniformly dressed and holding up light-up signs.

Under the watchful eyes of the entire bar, they navigated through the crowded floor below, passed by booth after booth, and slowly made their way toward Xu Yun and Li Jinshu.

The DJ in charge of the floor immediately put on a fitting BGM.

’What a scene. What a spectacle. It’s a little overwhelming.’

To be honest, Xu Yun had never thought about showing off in a bar.

It was his first time here, and he had no idea that ordering the Ultimate Carnival set would come with this whole procedure.

’This is a bit much.’

But he had to admit, flexing like this unintentionally felt pretty damn good!

At the very least, his vanity was completely satisfied.

He had finally gone from being a poor guy who others flexed on to a rich man who could do a little flexing himself.

Soon, the long procession arrived at their booth upstairs.

The manager and Zhao Dong respectfully placed the liquor on their table. Behind them, numerous bunny girls lined up around the booth, waving the light-up signs in their hands and chanting in unison.

”Thank you, Young Master Xu, for your support of FORER! We wish you and your friend a wonderful time!”

Meanwhile, Zhao Dong swiped the card and settled the bill: 238,000 yuan.

That’s how it worked at a bar like this; you paid for each order as you made it.

It was probably to prevent customers from dining and dashing after they were done showing off.

Of course, regulars were an exception.

Clearly, since it was Xu Yun’s first time, he wasn’t considered a regular.

[First time in a bar. In an act of ’Do as You Please’, the Host chose the most expensive liquor, inadvertently flexing and making a debut. Reward: 500,000 cash!]

Bank Account Balance: 4,540,000!

A few minutes later, after the whole procession was over, everyone dispersed.

The main hall returned to its previous lively state, with people dancing freely to the DJ’s beats.

’He had to admit, the atmosphere in this bar was genuinely great.’

The manager didn’t leave right away. Instead, he smiled at Xu Yun and said, ”Hello, Young Master Xu. I’m the manager of the bar. Welcome on your first visit. If there’s anything you need or are dissatisfied with, please just tell Zhao Dong.”

”Alright.”

”Well then, I won’t disturb you and your friend any longer. I hope you have a great time.” After speaking, the manager smiled, bowed, and left.

After the manager left, Zhao Dong asked with a smile, ”Young Master Xu, were you satisfied with the arrangements just now?”

”Yes, it was well done.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”Next time I come, I’ll look for you again.”

”Thank you, Young Master Xu.”

Zhao Dong crouched by the table and asked, ”Young Master Xu, what would you like to drink first? I can open the bottles for you.”

The Ultimate Carnival set included three bottles of high-end cognac—a L’Or de Jean Martell, a Hennessy Richard, and a Rémy Martin Louis XIII—plus ten bottles of Ace of Spades.

Xu Yun said, ”Open them all!”

”All of them?”

Zhao Dong kindly tried to persuade him, ”That’s a lot of liquor. There’s no way you and Miss Li can finish it all. It’d be a waste to open everything. Why not store what you don’t drink and have it next time?”

”It’s fine. Open them all.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”If it’s good, we’ll just buy more next time.”

”...” Zhao Dong was speechless.

’So rich! So obscenely rich it’s inhuman!’

Li Jinshu, on the other hand, wasn’t surprised at all.

After all, she had already experienced that 170,000-yuan meal with him.

This was just Xu Yun’s style.

So, Zhao Dong opened every single bottle. Even though it wasn’t his liquor, his heart ached for Xu Yun with each one he opened.

’This isn’t liquor, this is money!’

After opening the bottles and filling their glasses, Zhao Dong stood silently to the side, making himself invisible.

”Here, let’s have a drink.”

Xu Yun casually picked up a glass and handed it to Li Jinshu.

”Cheers.”

Li Jinshu downed the glass in one go. A total badass.

”...” Xu Yun was speechless.

’That way of drinking... it’s exactly like Su Mu’s.’

After finishing her drink, Li Jinshu smiled. ”What’s the fun in just drinking? Let’s play a game. Loser drinks.”

”Sure. What game?”

”The finger-grabbing game.”

Li Jinshu explained, ”Whoever catches the finger gets to ask the other person a question. If you don’t want to answer, you drink. If you fail to catch the finger, you drink.”

”Sounds good.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”You want to go first, or should I?”

”I’ll go first.”

Li Jinshu held out her hand, palm down.

Xu Yun placed his index finger underneath it.

”Go!”

At her command, Li Jinshu quickly snatched her hand closed.

Xu Yun’s finger was caught.

Li Jinshu said happily, ”Hahaha, you lost.”

”Go ahead, what do you want to ask?”

”Then I’ll ask a tough one.”

Li Jinshu thought for a moment, then asked, ”When was your first time?”

”My freshman year of college.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”Right after I started school. An upperclassman girl tricked me into it.”

”Hahaha...”

Li Jinshu laughed. ”Again.”

This time, Xu Yun won.

”My turn to ask.”

Xu Yun said, ”When was your first time?”

”Not telling you.”

Li Jinshu picked up a glass and downed it.

For the next few rounds, Li Jinshu kept losing, and Xu Yun kept asking.

But no matter what he asked, she chose to drink instead of answering.

Xu Yun could see what was going on.

’Li Jinshu must be in a bad mood today. She’s just here to get drunk.’

”Forget it, let’s not play anymore. It’s no fun.”

After several more drinks, a slightly tipsy Li Jinshu stood up, grabbed Xu Yun’s hand, and said, ”Come on, let’s go dance.”

”Uh~”

Xu Yun followed her to the railing on the upper floor and started to move casually to the DJ’s rhythm.

’I can’t let loose. I just can’t let loose at all.’

Li Jinshu, on the other hand, was completely absorbed, dancing through one song after another.

She seemed a little wild.

It was less like she was dancing and more like she was using the alcohol and music to vent her negative emotions.

She didn’t stop until she was exhausted.

Xu Yun hadn’t moved much. He smiled and asked, ”Done dancing?”

”Done.”

Li Jinshu turned to look at him, panting and smiling as she said, ”Was I acting like a lunatic just now?”

”Even if you were, you were the most beautiful lunatic.”

”Hahaha, you sure know what to say.”

Li Jinshu laughed. ”I’ve never been this happy before. Come on, let’s keep drinking. We have to finish all the bottles we opened. We can’t let them go to waste.”

”No way. It’d be impressive enough if we finished even one bottle.”

Xu Yun shook his head. ”If we actually finished all of this, we’d probably both end up in the hospital.”

”Alright, fine.”

Xu Yun turned, grabbed another glass of liquor from the table, handed it to Li Jinshu, and asked, ”Did something happen at work today that upset you?”

”No?”

Li Jinshu asked back, ”Why would you ask that?”

”Don’t try to fool me.”

Xu Yun sighed. ”The happier you’re smiling on the outside, the sadder you must be on the inside.”

”Did you study psychology or something?”

Li Jinshu hesitated for a moment, then her smile suddenly vanished. She said, ”It’s my birthday today. Can you just wish me a happy birthday?”

”That’s it?”

Xu Yun hadn’t realized it was her birthday. He smiled. ”Don’t be sad. In a minute, I’ll have the entire bar wish you a happy birthday!”
