This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

Fu Ya was a woman who could fulfill any man’s fantasy of the opposite sex.

Her looks weren’t necessarily top-tier, but they were incredibly delicate. Her watery eyes twinkled, her tall nose featured a delicate tip, and her small yet slightly full lips, coated in a blazing red, were utterly captivating.

Her figure was voluptuous without being plump.

Her overall impression was alluring but not vulgar.

This was the blind date An Chunhui had introduced to Du Heng today. All he had was a name and contact information; nothing else.

An Chunhui mentioned he didn’t know this woman personally; a friend had recommended her when An Chunhui said he was looking for a suitable blind date for Du Heng.

Du Heng was honestly amazed by Fu Ya when they first met.

He immediately thought of a disrespectful yet highly complimentary word – enchantress.

However, after that initial glance, Du Heng completely lost interest in the blind date.

Fu Ya’s femininity was overpowering—so much so that her entire body seemed soft yet incredibly resilient.

What was Du Heng? A doctor, specializing in gynecology. He knew this situation all too well.

Common cases included pregnant women, those who had given birth, those frequently intimate with their spouses, or those who consumed large amounts of hormone-rich food. However, would a woman like this eat hormone-rich food? And since she was on a blind date, that implied she didn’t have a partner, so where would frequent spousal intimacy come from? Neither of the first two possibilities made her a suitable blind date for Du Heng.

Du Heng immediately felt like he’d been taken for a fool.

Damn it, isn’t this taking advantage of honest people?!

”Hello, you must be Mr. Du Heng? I’m Fu Ya.” While Du Heng was lost in thought, Fu Ya proactively greeted him.

”Hello, please have a seat.”

Fu Ya was very talkative, able to chat about anything, and transitioned between topics very naturally. However, when she spoke, she would always gently touch her cheek, and her expressions were somewhat unnatural.

Du Heng didn’t reveal anything immediately. He wanted to see what this woman was up to. Since they were already out, it was a good chance to gain some experience.

He hadn’t expected the woman to get straight to the point, however, which foiled his plan to observe her further.”Mr. Du, after all this talk, what do you think of me?” Fu Ya asked, very straightforwardly.

Instead of answering immediately, Du Heng posed an unrelated question, ”Ms. Fu, is your mouth bothering you?”

”Yes, I’ve had some oral ulcers lately. It’s flared up and is very uncomfortable.”

A faint, unreadable smile touched Du Heng’s lips.

Fu Ya pressed on, adding a hint of flirtatiousness, ”Hurry up and answer my question.”

She might have found her tone and attitude adorable, but to Du Heng, it was nauseating. It wasn’t even as agreeable as Wu Shengnan’s playful pouting. ”Ms. Fu, you’re very pretty and talkative. It would be a pleasure to be friends with you.”

At first glance, his words seemed harmless, even complimentary. But considering Fu Ya’s question, they clearly implied he wasn’t interested.

To a woman like Fu Ya, Du Heng’s words were undoubtedly an insult. She genuinely hadn’t expected any man to be uninterested in a woman as charming as herself.

Fu Ya’s smiling face stiffened. She forced a chuckle and said, ”Mr. Du, is there something about me that you’re not satisfied with?”

Du Heng smiled. ”No, I just don’t think we’re suitable for each other.”

”Mr. Du, if there’s anything you’re dissatisfied with, please just say it. I really want to know what it is about me that you find unsatisfactory.”

Fu Ya’s expression turned cold, and she became somewhat aggressive, demanding an explanation from Du Heng.

Although they were in a coffee shop, Du Heng had had his fill of coffee’s bitterness today, so he had ordered a glass of water.

As he twirled the water glass in his hand, he appeared very calm in the face of Fu Ya’s assertiveness. ”Let’s not talk about it. Being friends would also be very nice.”

”Tell me. I really want to know. This is our first meeting, and I don’t believe I’ve done anything to repulse you. I can’t believe a woman like me holds no attraction for you, unless you... have a problem.”

Du Heng’s hand, holding the water glass, paused, and the smile on his face stiffened for a moment. ”Since Ms. Fu insists on an explanation, I’ll oblige.”

”Go ahead. I’m all ears.”

Du Heng sat up straight and leaned forward slightly, lowering his voice. ”Ms. Fu, did you come here after some exercise?”

Fu Ya’s expression changed instantly, her eyes losing their sparkle. ”What do you mean?”

Du Heng fanned the air in front of his nose with a teasing tone. ”The scent after intimacy is quite strong. Although you’ve used a lot of perfume, it can’t completely mask that odor.

”To eliminate that smell, you must wash thoroughly afterward; otherwise, it won’t fade quickly.

”Also, when you came in, you should have stayed outside a bit longer. Let the cold air blow on you to clear that lustful look from your eyes and allow the flush in your philtrum and earlobes to return to their normal color.”

With every sentence Du Heng uttered, Fu Ya’s expression shifted. As he finished, she instinctively touched her philtrum and earlobes.

Du Heng leaned back a bit, his whole demeanor becoming languid. ”Based on this, I can also tell you that the place where you just had your ’fun’ was the underground parking lot of this very building.”

”You saw?” Fu Ya’s face turned ugly.

Du Heng shook his head and chuckled. ”Fooled you.”

Fu Ya’s expression changed again. ”What do you mean?”

”You do exhibit the characteristics I mentioned, but that doesn’t definitively prove anything. However, the scent on you is quite strong—so strong that sitting opposite you, every time the warm air from the AC blows over, it’s nauseating. And your entire demeanor is too rushed, too unnatural.”

Hearing Du Heng’s words, heavy with disdain, Fu Ya’s expression turned extremely ugly; she looked ready to explode.

However, knowing that Du Heng hadn’t discovered her most guarded secret, Fu Ya slowly regained her composure. ”I think I’m acting perfectly normal. How do I seem anxious to you?”

Du Heng smirked. ”Not normal. Not normal at all. You’re very beautiful and attractive to men. A woman like you definitely wouldn’t lack suitors, so appearing on the blind date scene is, in itself, abnormal.

”Second, you’re too eloquent. With such a silver tongue, what kind of man couldn’t you win over? So, it’s even more unlikely you’d be looking for a partner through a blind date.

”Third, you’re too proactive. I don’t think I’m impressive enough for a beauty like you to be so direct on a first meeting.”

Du Heng’s eyes grew colder as he looked at Fu Ya, and his next words set her on edge again. ”I guess you came here today for two reasons. One, you two were discovered, and you need someone to be the scapegoat.

”Two, you’re pregnant, and for some reason, you need someone to take the fall.”

Seeing Fu Ya’s slightly evasive eyes, Du Heng knew he had guessed correctly.

Fu Ya looked at Du Heng for a good while. Seeing no hint of evasion in his gaze, she finally exhaled and said, ”Mr. Du, you’re very smart, but you’re wrong.”

Fu Ya was decisive. Realizing she’d met someone perceptive today and that her plan was unworkable, she picked up her things and prepared to leave.

But Du Heng was not pleased by Fu Ya’s compliment and said disdainfully, ”It’s not that I’m smart; it’s that you people think you’re clever and everyone else is an idiot.”

Seeing Fu Ya about to leave, Du Heng continued, ”Ms. Fu, let me give you some advice.”

”What?” Fu Ya looked at Du Heng, her tone condescending and mocking. ”Are you going to advise me to live a decent life?”

Du Heng laughed. He had no noble inclination to lead virtuous women astray or urge fallen ones to reform. He just wanted to tear down this woman’s shameless arrogance.

”You’re thinking too much,” Du Heng said. ”I just want to say, Ms. Fu, with so many boyfriends, you should be careful about getting sick. Also, you’re playing a bit too hard; be careful it doesn’t all blow up in your face.”

Fu Ya’s face changed again, her eyes becoming sharp, as if her deepest secret had been exposed. ”Mr. Du, you’d better explain yourself clearly, otherwise, this is slander. Although I’m a woman, I still have my ways.”

For Fu Ya’s threat, Du Heng was utterly unfazed. ”Ms. Fu, don’t be angry. When you look in the mirror, have you ever examined your philtrum?”

”What do you mean?”

”There is a horizontal line on your philtrum.”

”What?”

Fu Ya took out a small mirror from her bag with a puzzled expression and began to examine herself. To her surprise, she discovered there really was a deep horizontal line on her philtrum. Her eyes flickered again with confusion and incomprehension as she looked at Du Heng. ”What does this have to do with you slandering me?”

Du Heng glanced again at this woman brimming with femininity and sighed inwardly. What a pity. ”In traditional Chinese medicine,” he began, ”each acupoint corresponds to a specific part of the body. The GV-26 acupoint, for instance, corresponds to a person’s reproductive organs.

”When a woman is intimate with more than one partner, either simultaneously or in close succession, such a horizontal line will appear on her philtrum.”

If you want to trick me, then don’t blame me for tearing your mask off and smashing your pedestal.

Du Heng’s mocking smile made Fu Ya suddenly go weak. She slumped back into her seat, dazed and lost in thought.

This time, it was Du Heng who picked up his bag and stood up. ”One last friendly reminder, Ms. Fu: you really are pregnant. And those aren’t oral ulcers; it’s likely an HPV infection. You should get it checked at the hospital.”

Fu Ya looked at Du Heng coldly. She hadn’t expected that the game she thought she was orchestrating would end with her being played, her carefully constructed facade torn away. It left her deeply ashamed and furious. ”How did you know?”

”Don’t ask how I know,” Du Heng replied, turning to leave. ”You wouldn’t understand even if I told you. Oh, by the way, I’ve already paid for the coffee.”

As Du Heng stepped outside, he couldn’t help but gaze skyward. Why did he only encounter such oddballs on these blind dates? Were there no normal women out there?

There were those looking to marry into wealth, those trying to deceive others, those who thought their ’assets’ were golden and wanted to trade up, and those looking for someone to take the fall.

That Fu Ya just now had been too bold, too eager. If she’d been a bit more composed, he might not have become suspicious. If he hadn’t become suspicious, he wouldn’t have overthought things. And if he hadn’t overthought things, he might genuinely have ended up being the sucker.

But he hadn’t fallen for it. Surely some other honest guy would. He just wondered who the unlucky sucker would be.

Sigh, preying on honest folks.

However, after these past two days, Du Heng had completely given up on the blind date scene.

He was genuinely afraid he’d misjudge someone one day and end up as a scapegoat; that would be tragic.

In the future, he’d better just focus on his work and try his luck with the innocent, unassuming girls he already knew, those he understood well.

Although they say rabbits don’t eat the grass around their own burrows, when you’re desperate enough, you don’t have a choice.
