One-Eyed Monster

”Ah...” Igor and the others opened their mouths to call out. This feeling was simply too thrilling!

Beside their ears, there was a gust of wind whistling past. This wind howled so intensely that they could only feel the sound.

On their faces, there were trembling muscles, a chain reaction caused by the wind beating against them.

They had no way to express their feelings at this moment, and could only use this single word to express the excitement and unease inside.

The excitement was undeniable. It was the first time they experienced such speed, leaving their hearts brimming with emotions, and all these emotions converged to form unparalleled excitement.

And the unease was also obvious. They were traveling at such high speed, faster than they imagined, bringing about their worry. At such speed, might they fall?

Excitement and unease mixed together, making their feelings extraordinarily complex, a complexity that couldn’t be expressed in words for the moment. Even if they wanted to voice their thoughts at this moment, it would be meaningless, because in the midst of high-speed motion, every word they uttered would wobble and change along with their trembling facial muscles.

The only word they could clearly express fearlessly might be this ”Ah.”

Who knows what Witch Bigas would think upon hearing this hysterical ah.

This sound ”ah” also revealed the uniqueness of the speed of the holy robe, showing their astonishment at the speed of the holy robe...

Although they had psychological preparation at the time, they hadn’t expected the speed to be so fast, fast to the point it exceeded the range of their understanding. So, their complex emotions couldn’t be completely expressed with just this word ”ah.”

This prolonged sound ”ah” only subsided when the speed slowed down afterwards. Even though the speed of Holy Robe Wizard was fast, it couldn’t transport people instantly to another place like Stan Sol’s Teleportation Spell.

Although the holy robe was fast, it relied on people to step by step reach the destination. Despite the speed, there was always a process involved...

And when this process reached the endpoint, the speed would slow down. The transition from fast to slow made Igor and the others’ sound ”ah” dragged out, then gradually became clear, until finally the sound ”ah” grew smaller and disappeared.

At this moment, they took a closer look and were amazed again. Everywhere were inns and taverns, along with some Gold Rooms, though small in scale, but running orderly. This was normal because, the people at the mountain scattered away, and it was no longer the bustling area below Guru Mountain. They were considered ”new guests” arriving here.

”Have we arrived?” Igor was obviously still immersed in the complex emotions just now. The rapid speed made him a little unable to hold back, and made him somewhat unbelieving.

In just this short span, they reached the bottom of the mountain, it was truly fast.

”Yes, we’ve arrived!” Witch Bigas didn’t bother with others and directly spoke to Xiso. At present, Bigas saw no one else, so she couldn’t hear the voices of others. Igor’s sentiment had no effect on her.

Bigas, who was infatuated, was now just following Xiso, going wherever Xiso went.

Xiso covered his face with a hood. It was evident he was unwilling to let others see his face. After all, this was not Guru Mountain, and those who saw his face would undoubtedly shout out, unable to accommodate such a frightening face in this world. People had always feared these, even people as kind-hearted as Xiso, bearing such a face, would only face abandonment.

Now that Xiso arrived at the bottom of the mountain, his task of escorting Igor could be considered completed. Next, he was to handle his own affairs. He would accompany Bigas to complete some matters that were left behind before, mainly to seek justice for Bigas, which was also seeking justice for themselves.

Of course, in doing so they would face the enormous Kangen Family, fraught with danger, yet Xiso still chose to confront it for the sake of their genuine feelings. Stubborn Bigas made numerous sacrifices for him, and now it was time for him to do the same for Bigas. At the very least, reclaim what belonged to Bigas.

This meant here he would part ways with Igor. Although he didn’t communicate much with Igor, he genuinely liked this young man.

”Well, we part ways here, Igor. You’re one of the most interesting people I’ve ever met.”

”Time flies, I must bid farewell, Xiso. May you have a safe journey ahead.” Igor felt a bit reluctant, but some things were beyond his control.

”Our paths will cross again in the future.” Xiso waved.

”Yes, I hope next time when I visit Guru Mountain, I can still see you, Xiso.”

”I will, we will meet again at Guru Mountain!” Xiso said, then stood together with Bigas, and a gust of wind blew by, and they both disappeared.

”The speed of the holy robe is still incredible!” Igor remarked, not realizing others were still catching their breath from the speed of the holy robe moments ago.

They returned once more to the base of Guru Mountain.

This time, the area below Guru Mountain was much quieter than before.

It was the Deep Winter Season; few people were willing to go out. Additionally, most villagers from Guru Village had already left here, leaving very few behind. Initially there were many Treasure Hunters, but the Treasure Hunters were taken up the mountain by Kuyi Tulan’s Alchemy Workshop and brought down again, and now they’ve already left this place with the Alchemy Workshop’s team.

Their holy robe speed might be fast, but Kuyi Tulan had already gone down the mountain many days before, leaving early from this place.

Of course, they brought along those mixed Treasure Hunters.

Only a few Treasure Hunters remained here, those who stayed behind were the ones in despair with their lives.

The silence below the mountain made Igor a bit uneasy. The last time he visited here wasn’t long ago, yet the change was so significant.

He was unaware that during his time up the mountain, there were rich happenings below the mountain, events so rich they were beyond his imagination.

Most of the area below Guru Mountain now became empty and deserted, with not even a shadow of a person.

They didn’t know what had occurred here, but observing this quiet scene, they could guess something major undoubtedly happened here.

”We shouldn’t just stand here foolishly, let’s find a tavern. Most of the taverns are dark, only the one ahead has lights on, seems a lot has happened.”

So they all followed Igor, slowly heading towards the place with lights. Deep Winter Season was peculiar, the sun was almost absent below the mountain, and even before nightfall, the sky was already dark.
