Chapter 224: Chapter 223: Sleep?

Huang Biao and Huang Tao subsequently received similar tasks, roughly the same, but with some differences in description and rewards.

Su Changxing also hadn’t expected this situation to arise, greatly impacting his previous plans.

But as long as this task can be swiftly completed, the problem wouldn’t be too great.

Su Changxing thought for a moment and said to Huang Tao, ”Compile a list of people who entered the Blood Moon World during the Blood Moon.”

Huang Tao showed a surprised expression, ”Brother Su, do you think these people are likely the killers?”

Su Changxing nodded, ”There is a big chance, it’s probably caused by the Blood Moon. Just pay close attention to them in secret. If the killer acts again, they’re bound to slip up.”

”Hmm, we have compiled personnel lists before, but they may not be complete.”

Huang Tao nodded thoughtfully and walked out of the room.

Zhu Wenwu sat nearby, carefully mapping the Hunters’ movement routes, completely unconcerned with the outside world. Through the observation of these Hunters’ actions, he gained a deeper understanding of the Extraordinary’s abilities.

Meanwhile, his heart grew colder, watching these Hunters slaughtering other humans at will, a feeling he couldn’t describe surged within him—not anger, but a melancholic sadness about the insignificance of humanity.

They were like crickets for amusement, driven to fight and slaughter each other. Though these Hunters were from a different world, they were ultimately humans, humans suffering from the same tragic fate.

Huang Biao looked at his phone and said gravely, ”This hidden killer seems to have the potential to lead to the destruction of our gathering place. Should we halt our previous plans and resolve this task first?”

Su Changxing shook his head, ”No need, we’re running out of time. If it doesn’t work out, we can delay this task...taking risks if necessary. To survive, we must first deal with these Hunters.”

To survive, they must face two challenges: first the Hunters, and second the zombie transformation. Su Changxing believes these two issues are connected.

The humans of their two worlds should be in a competitive relationship.

These Hunters hunting them results in some benefit, so killing these Hunters should also bring a more direct benefit.

Resources are conserved; when one side increases, the other side correspondingly decreases.

Huang Biao grinned and took a small sip from the silver jug on the table, saying:

”You are too confident, haha, making me feel a bit insecure... the gap between us and them is still very large, maybe even during the day.”

Su Changxing appeared unusually determined, grabbing the silver jug from Huang Biao’s hand and taking a big sip, saying:

”No, it shouldn’t be that large, otherwise they wouldn’t hide during the day. They’re flawed Extraordinary, not much different from zombies.”

”Moreover, rather than being slaughtered, it’s better to fight them desperately. Yes, it’s better than turning into a zombie.”

Zhu Wenwu paused his pen, suddenly raised his head, with a hint of indifference in his eyes, and said:

”Indeed, many times people just fight for survival, for a bit of dignity, perhaps dying isn’t the scariest thing.”

This was unexpected from Zhu Wenwu’s mouth, as he was someone who would bend for survival.

Su Changxing glanced at him and reminded, ”It’s best to maintain emotional stability and objectivity in your attitude now.”

Zhu Wenwu nodded indifferently, ”Hmm, I can control it, just expressing my thoughts.”

When Zhu Wenwu uses his ability, he must not show subjective aggression; otherwise, the target will sense his surveillance and cut the mark.

But that’s actually a difficult thing to do, as most people can’t remain calm about the targets they wish to kill.

And Zhu Wenwu excels in this aspect, naturally lacking aggression, perhaps due to his cowardice, so even marking the enemy, his killing intent isn’t strong, highly matching his position.

Next, Su Changxing gathered the more than fifty people participating in tonight’s action. Some of them were bandaged and seriously injured, while those even more injured were lying in the infirmary.

They were in a large room on the fifth floor, which was empty, with nothing inside. In one corner, a scent lamp was lit, allowing a faint fragrance to permeate the air.

The room was extremely quiet, you could hear a needle drop.

They didn’t know what Su Changxing wanted to do but didn’t inquire because the man before them held a strength they admired and sought after.

Zhou An stood in the first row, looking drowsy, as he had just been woken up from a nap to come here.

Su Changxing gazed at these people without speaking for a long time; the information from ”True Knowledge” flickered furiously.

He noticed that everyone’s progress in opening pathways had improved greatly, especially Zhou An and Geng Yong.

Zhou An seemed almost on the verge of becoming an Extraordinary, perhaps in the next second, or it could take much longer.

As for Geng Yong, although not as advanced as Zhou An, he wasn’t far behind.

This situation aligned with his thoughts.

Zhou An saw Su Changxing’s prolonged silence and couldn’t help but ask, ”Brother Su, did you call us here for something?”

Su Changxing nodded, ”Yes, of course. There’s a reason, and it’s important. You all are members of Team A, joining Team A provides opportunities to become Extraordinary, and I won’t break my word on that.”

Most people’s faces showed surprise and joy upon hearing this; they were willing to fight desperately precisely because of this.

Su Changxing told them that fighting was the only chance to become Extraordinary and survive to the end in this world.

Su Changxing thought for a moment and said earnestly, ”What you need to do is simple, just sleep here.”

”Sleep?”

A young man named Chang Yi showed confusion, saying, ”Boss Su, can we just sleep here without doing anything else?”

Another middle-aged man said, ”Is there something special about it? We won’t become Extraordinary just by sleeping, will we?”

The room was suddenly filled with chatter.

This seemed very absurd, yet Su Changxing’s prestige assured them he wouldn’t joke about something so ridiculous.

Su Changxing said seriously, ”Yes, it’s related to becoming Extraordinary, it’s your path to becoming Extraordinary. Hmm, let’s begin now.”

The giant hand can influence this world, and he should be able to influence others too, relying on the mysterious may also lead to becoming the mysterious.
