Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Bai left, left with a clean break, left with elegance and naturalness, while Wen Yu just sat in place, savoring Bai’s words from earlier, and after a long while, let out a light sigh.

Everything Bai mentioned was probably true. Bai had no reason to deceive him, and the essence of the matter was just as Bai had said.

Wen Yu had long known his rebirth was due to the Demon Lord. He knew there was no such thing as love without reason. Since the Demon Lord could use extraordinary means to pull him back before the apocalypse began, he must have certain intentions towards Wen Yu. Theoretically, Wen Yu was indeed a pawn of the Demon Lord, and the relationship between the Demon Tribe and Earth’s will needed no elaboration... they were absolute sworn enemies.

In this light, Earth’s will has ample reason to target him.

His mother star considers him an enemy... this has been destined ever since his rebirth. Wen Yu didn’t feel despair, sadness, or collapse, just a complex mood—something he hadn’t thought deeply about before, but Bai just pointed out Wen Yu’s current awkward situation clearly.

”You are human, but your stance isn’t on the side of the Human Race, nor Earth. Even if you don’t see it this way, Earth’s will does. The Demon Lord pulled you back to before the apocalypse, making you follow his will step by step to achieve his desired purpose. Whether this purpose is good or bad is another matter, but from Earth’s will perspective, anything the enemy wants to do is surely of no benefit. In other words, in the eyes of Earth’s will, you, Wen Yu, are an enemy.”

”And for the Dominator, the Demon Lord is an enemy. As a pawn of the Demon Lord, he doesn’t even need a reason to kill you.”

”As for the Demon Tribe, this issue gets complicated. You are the Demon Lord’s pawn, but you don’t think so, so from your perspective, you and the Demon Tribe are still enemies. Common Demon Fiends can’t touch this level. In other words, they will also see you as an enemy.”

”In this way, Wen Yu, you actually have no faction. Do you understand what I’m saying? Due to your stance, everything you encounter is your opponent, your enemy. In this world, you are the real extra, the real variable. Before, you might not have considered these things, but now the situation is different. Earth’s will manifested and found me and the Demigod a year ago. I don’t know what information it acquired, but its malice toward you is evident. What’s more critical is, it knows the secret of your rebirth. You can guess that it wants to kill you; it doesn’t even need Tang Haofei to act. It only needs to tell the Dominator about you, and you’re doomed.”

”Then why didn’t it tell the Dominator about this?”

”I don’t know. I can’t grasp Earth’s will. As I said, your world’s will seems strange, like... well, mutated. But once Tang Haofei can no longer balance you, I think Earth’s will has no choice but to clear you out. In fact, telling the Dominate about you is a convenient and effective way to handle you.”

”So this matter has turned into another problem. What you should consider now is how to escape this calamity from the Dominator.”

...

Everything from the Heavenly Palace journey remains vivid. Back then, the Demon Lord exerted great effort to save him, allowing Wen Yu to escape this calamity. Wen Yu thought that the matter of his rebirth should have come to an end—The Demon Lord doesn’t mention it, he doesn’t mention it, and Tang Haofei doesn’t mention it, then no one else can know the fact that he is a reborner.

Yet in reality, even if the Dominator knew Wen Yu is a reborner, Wen Yu couldn’t cope. To put it harshly, if the Dominator wanted to solve Wen Yu, it would be as easy as a snap of the fingers. The reason Wen Yu didn’t consider this issue might be due to an ostrich mindset, ignoring problems that can’t be solved...

However, now everything has been spelled out, and Wen Yu realized his pathetic position—All the big shots have no good intentions towards him, theoretically everything that can move is his adversary. Worse, the problem he thought no one else could discover is laid bare openly.

Would Earth’s will tell the Dominator about this? Wen Yu cannot place his life and death in the hands of others! Even if the ’others’ refer to his mother star.

So the problem becomes simple.....

Ignoring the stance issue for now, the crucial point is how to avoid this calamity from the Dominator.

And Bai just gave the answer.

...

”I will help you buy some time, strive to keep your issue hidden a bit longer, but you should understand, these things can only be hidden temporarily. Since the problem has appeared, it’s just a matter of time before the Dominator knows about your rebirth. The stronger you become, the more Earth’s will sees you as trouble. When no one can restrain you anymore, Earth’s will will surely deal with you through the Dominator.”

”So...”

Bai patted the box containing Number One beside him.

”This is your lifeline.”

Speaking with conviction, Wen Yu remained silent. After a long pause, Wen Yu asked, ”What should I do?”

”First, you need to obtain control of the tiered battlefield. If predicted correctly, it should be the reward for the next Sequence Member-Ranking Battle, Sequence Number 1. Moreover, there’s an issue of timing—the sooner, the better. Tang Haofei has already awakened, and the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle has no reason to be delayed anymore. After that...”

Bai explained his plan to Wen Yu, who listened carefully. Only when Bai finished did Wen Yu look at Bai with a shocked and uncanny expression.

”What audacity!”

”Tell me if it can be done. If you can’t take Sequence Number 1, you’re done for.”

Wen Yu pondered for a moment, then resolutely nodded.

”No problem, I’m confident I can handle Tang Haofei.”

Bai clapped his hands.

”Then it’s settled.”

Wen Yu contemplated Bai’s plan steps carefully; there was no oversight. However, one thing was very peculiar.

Thinking of this, Wen Yu looked at Bai with puzzlement and couldn’t help but ask, ”Why are you helping me? To be honest, when you laid it all out like this, I truly feel like I’m on the edge of a cliff, one step away from losing it all. No matter how you look at it, you have no reason to jump into this fire pit...”

Bai remained silent for a moment before speaking, ”I’m helping you through this ordeal, and you will do me a favor, a huge favor...”

”Deal!”

Wen Yu agreed decisively. Compared to his life, a favor... no matter how troublesome, is better than being crushed by the Dominator.

...

Reflecting on everything Bai had just shared in his mind, after a while, Wen Yu placed Number One in his space ring and took a deep breath.

Five years of smooth sailing are now officially over. Strangely, facing the potentially imminent death, Wen Yu felt no panic, no anxious emotions. Recalling everything Bai revealed and his own trump cards, Wen Yu’s eyes suddenly emitted an unusual sparkle.

Once, in the two-realm battlefield, facing the Dominator’s might, there was powerlessness in the Heavenly Palace. But this time, no matter how he pondered, he couldn’t hide from the Dominator’s surveillance.

Since that’s the case, then simply let’s go all out. Even if it’s certain death, Wen Yu has resolved to knock a few big teeth out of the Dominator!
