Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Then the Level Lock completely shattered, reaching Level 10!

And Level 10... Wen Yu could easily imagine, even with just a tap of his toe, how many ancient Level 10 Limit Breakthrough Level monsters the Demon Tribe had accumulated over the ages. Once the Level 10 Level Lock is broken, the situation will inevitably reverse...

But this is something that will have to be dealt with when the time comes. In fact, anyone can foresee this, but there’s no particularly good solution; it’s just a matter of confronting soldiers with generals and water with earthen walls.

”Let the Corpse Puppet go, it’s a perfect opportunity for it to stretch its muscles.”

The growth of the Corpse Puppet requires Creation Energy and corpses; as it happens, Wen Yu lacks neither. Plus, the Corpse Puppet itself does not wish to propagate its kind, instead craving its own strength. Over the past five years, the power of the Corpse Puppet has vastly surpassed that of other Soul Puppets, even reaching the level of Wen Yu’s soul pet!

”As for the expansion of the puppet battalion... Tsk tsk, that’s quite troublesome... How many are in the puppet battalion now?”

The Mountain Kui briefly tallied and then abandoned the effort: ”Countless...”

Compared to manufacturing skills, the enhancement of the Soul Puppet Legion over these five years has been even greater!

In five years, Wen Yu let the puppet battalion grow on its own, especially the Mountain Kui, Cloud Puppet, and Water Dummy! Africa has long been filled with Wen Yu’s puppets to the point of overflowing. Because of this, two years ago, other continents and vast oceans came into Wen Yu’s sights...

The essence of a puppet’s life is rather peculiar; it does not have a life pulse, rendering conventional detection methods utterly useless against the puppet battalion. They are like the soil and air of the natural world, hidden throughout the land, silently observing the myriad of living beings - and once Wen Yu mobilizes for war, it is certain to let enemies experience the misery of being at odds with the entire world...

”Then temporarily halt the expansion of the troop and focus on individual strength; I need a squad that can fight, the kind that can break limits.”

”Understood, Master.”

”And about the intel on Little White, right, what level is Little White now?”

”It’s already Level 8. Legas has assigned it to the Level 8 battalion in the Demon Realm, appointing it as the battalion leader. Little White is performing well.”

Even the Shangu couldn’t help but praise its colleague.

”Well, let’s set aside Little White for now. Now, let me see the harvest of this month...”

Wen Yu rubbed his hands together and walked into the Soul Experiment Lab, immediately seeing piles of Soul Crystal stones stacked high and a pile of crimson-colored fruits on the table.

...

The Almighty Demon Vine had long been endowed with a soul by Wen Yu. It was naive and confused at its rebirth, but throughout five years of growth and learning, it gradually matured, and now it could stand on its own.

The Wood Kui was assigned by Wen Yu to be under the Almighty Demon Vine’s command.

The Almighty Demon Vine, which had transformed from an artifact into a living being, gained many functions - for instance, blooming and bearing fruit...

Of course, it wasn’t normal blooming or fruiting; it involved absorbing Demon Beast Corpses, extracting the essence within, and transforming the essence into fruit, which Wen Yu named Corpse Fruit.

In this way, Wen Yu did not need to stay connected to the Almighty Demon Vine at all times, making his movements more convenient. The Corpse Fruit significantly increased the efficiency of utilizing Demon Beast Corpses. Overall, forming Corpse Fruit for Wen Yu to absorb roughly doubled the resource utilization rate compared to directly absorbing Demon Beast Corpses.

Not a small number.

Usually, the Almighty Demon Vine is hidden beneath the surface of the Star of Africa, its vines extending widely, almost covering the entire Star of Africa. Once the government purchase station receives Demon Beast Corpses, they only need to stack them in a designated spot, and the Almighty Demon Vine can automatically digest the Demon Beast Corpses, then produce fruit, and transport it to Wen Yu’s side.

The entire process is efficient and simple, much faster than when Wen Yu handled it personally before, by an untold number of times.

Just like now...

Wen Yu picked up a Corpse Fruit and swallowed it whole; as the energy within the Corpse Fruit spread, Wen Yu felt a surge of heat flow inside his body, and in moments, his physical fitness and Soul Strength increased significantly.

In thirty-five times total, taking about half an hour, Wen Yu had absorbed and digested the Demon Beast Corpses harvested this month from the Star of Africa, increasing his physical strength by as much as 100,000!

”Getting slower and slower...”

Perceiving the surging power inside, Wen Yu couldn’t help but sigh - 100,000, possibly a number a normal professionist wouldn’t reach in a lifetime, yet compared to a few years ago, this growth is almost negligible. Although this month’s harvest from the Star of Africa wasn’t small, as the upper limit of physical strength grows, the difficulty of improvement also increases...

Wen Yu couldn’t help but think of Tang Haofei’s Life and Death Battle Execution. Perhaps only the Child of the World, Sequence Number 1, personally appointed by the Dominator, could achieve such unreasonable Limit Breakthrough Level abilities.

The side effects are great as well...

Thinking of the cost of power, Wen Yu’s heart was significantly balanced.

...

After processing the Corpse Fruit, Wen Yu turned his head to look in another direction.

There, one by one, jewel-like beads sparkled under the lamplight, the abundant and pure Soul Energy within made Wen Yu, a soul-type powerful expert, feel a surge of excitement.

”I like this flavor...”

Wen Yu murmured.

Soul Crystal, a little creation by Wen Yu, was distributed almost freely to all professionists by Yanjing and the Star of Africa. As long as a professionist took out a Soul Crystal stone near the death of a life form, the Soul Crystal stone would automatically absorb the surrounding dissipated Soul Power—whether useful or not...
