You Were Told to Design Software, But You Created Tiktok?!

40: Section 40This time, Li Wenqiu didn’t say much, turning directly to leave Mr. Ma’s office.

Mr. Ma, on the other hand, slowly opened Douyin on his phone.

”So, Wang Mo.”

”I really want to meet you in person.”

...

Three days later.

Inside Junzi Group.

”We’re listed!”

At this moment, the hall was filled with a joyful atmosphere, and every employee’s desk, even interns, had a Red Envelope.

Because just now,

Douyin successfully went public.

And its market value directly reached three hundred billion!

If it hadn’t won the lawsuit against Tencent a few days ago, Douyin’s market value would probably only be a mere one hundred billion.

But because the impact of defeating Tencent was too significant, many investors were optimistic about Douyin’s future development.

That’s why Douyin’s market value was so exaggerated.

Originally, Wang Mo thought that

Douyin’s market value reaching the three hundred billion range would at least have to wait until Pinduoduo was launched, but now it seemed completely unnecessary.

”Boss, you are my savior and my second parent; I’m sticking with you for life!”

At this moment, in Wang Mo’s office, Zhang Fan was clinging to Wang Mo’s leg, crying a snotty mess.

A year ago, he was still worrying about how to pay rent.

A year later, he had already bought several houses.

This huge contrast directly made him cling to Wang Mo’s leg and refuse to let go after Douyin successfully went public.

Wang Mo was quite helpless.

”Let go of me.”

”No, I won’t, I won’t let go today, I won’t let go even if you beat me to death, I won’t let go even if my mom comes.”

”If you don’t let go, your bonus will be deducted.”

Zhang Fan instantly stood up.

”Love is about knowing when to let go at the right time.”

Seeing this scene,

the few people in the office couldn’t help but laugh.

Wang Mo also smiled and said,

”Alright, no more jokes.”

”You’ve all worked hard with the listing, so take a good rest for the next few days.”

”Next, our focus should shift to Pinduoduo.”

”Oh, and.”

Wang Mo paused.

”I’ve already bought this building; it will be our Junzi Group headquarters from now on.”

This news made everyone even happier.

After a few more casual chats, the few people finally left Wang Mo’s office and began to work on some post-listing improvements for Douyin.

Wang Mo, on the other hand, took out his phone and scrolled through a shopping app.

Then,

Wang Mo murmured,

”The next opponent should be Taobao.”

Chapter 42: Announcing Pinduoduo’s Upcoming Launch, Wu Town Summit!

After Douyin successfully went public,

Wang Mo began to vigorously establish Pinduoduo’s self-operated logistics and warehouses using the returned funds.

In a short time,

Pinduoduo’s self-operated logistics and warehouses had already shown initial results.

At the same time,

the Douyin mall section and Pinduoduo’s refinement work were also gradually completed under Wang Mo’s direction.

Now,

it was just a matter of waiting for the right moment to launch Pinduoduo.

And just one month after Douyin’s listing, Douyin finally launched its mall section.

At this moment,

Douyin truly became a complete entity.

Just when the outside world thought that

Wang Mo’s energy should be focused on the operation of the complete Douyin,

the day after Douyin launched its mall, a piece of internal news from Junzi Group directly shocked the industry.

Junzi Group announced that

in one week,

they would launch their own online shopping software, Pinduoduo!

This news undoubtedly caused a huge stir on the internet.

Everyone knew that

the leader in online shopping, there was and only was Taobao.

Over the years, countless major companies had tried to challenge Taobao’s authority, but all of them ultimately met their demise.

Even a top internet group like Tencent couldn’t get a slice of the pie from Taobao.

But at this time,

Junzi Group, which had just found its footing with Douyin, claimed it wanted to go head-to-head with Taobao.

This news almost instantly attracted a lot of dismissive and mocking voices.

For a time,

the Weibo post announcing Junzi Group’s launch of the shopping software in a week instantly attracted tens of thousands of comments.

”Brother, Douyin just launched a shopping section yesterday, which is already pretty good. With Douyin’s influence, it should be able to capture a few percent of the online shopping market. If you really want to fight Taobao, I think you should just forget about it.”

”Taobao’s users have already exceeded one hundred million, and its daily transaction volume basically exceeds ten billion. How can you fight Taobao?”

”I admire young people’s courage, but you’re being too erratic. You just finished a short video software and now you’re making a shopping software. I could understand if you went into long video software.”

”Did you get carried away after making some money?”

Because of Taobao’s terrifying market share, almost no one was optimistic about this software called Pinduoduo at the time.

Even within Junzi Group, there wasn’t much confidence in this software.

After all, the terrifying nature of Taobao was truly beyond what ordinary small companies could compare to.

Because of such an exaggerated market share, Taobao had been ruled a monopoly several times, but there was no other way; its competitors were completely ineffective.

Now, almost every internet user, when they think of online shopping, their first thought is Taobao.

It was too exaggerated to break through in such a situation.

And facing the various doubts from the outside world,

Wang Mo remained unshaken, steadily pushing forward with Pinduoduo’s launch.

Many people also wanted to see how far Pinduoduo could go.

...

Soon after Wang Mo announced the upcoming launch of Pinduoduo,

Wu Town, Jiangcheng.
