You Were Told to Design Software, But You Created Tiktok?!

33: Section 33“The reason Taobao had no rivals before was because…” Wang Mo paused. “They just hadn’t met me yet.”

Listening to Wang Mo’s words, Zhang Fan and the other person exchanged glances, then clicked their tongues.

“Boss, you’re too arrogant,” Zhang Fan muttered.

They had already thought their boss was arrogant before.

But they didn’t expect it.

Their boss was even more exaggerated than they imagined.

Becoming the number one short video platform, and snatching Douyu Live’s market share wasn’t enough; now he actually wanted to compete with Taobao.

“How will you know if you don’t try?” Wang Mo said with a smile. “What do you say, want to work with me?”

The two looked at each other.

“Boss, everything we have today is thanks to you.”

“No matter what you want to do, we’ll support you.”

After taking a deep breath, Zhang Fan’s eyes became much firmer, as he knew very well that no one could shake a decision made by Wang Mo.

Qin Haisheng also nodded.

After deciding that the next software to be developed would be a shopping application, Zhang Fan quickly realized a problem.

“But Boss,”

“The cost of self-operated logistics and warehouses is exorbitant, and a shopping application will definitely require significant investment in the early stages.”

“Although our Douyin is making a lot of money now, it probably still can’t support such a large expenditure.”

“I understand.” Wang Mo nodded.

“So Douyin’s next step will be to go public.”

“After that, we will have the funds to develop the shopping application.”

“Furthermore,” Wang Mo took a deep breath.

“Currently, Douyin has no rivals in Yan Country, and the live streaming sector is already complete.”

“Therefore,”

“The international version of Douyin can be launched.”

Chapter 35: A Truly Phenomenal Software, Weikan’s Last Struggle!

Not long after Douyin’s live streaming function was launched, Wang Mo had already arranged for Qin Haisheng to lead a team to begin development work on the international version of Douyin.

The international version of Douyin is named Tik, and only Wang Mo in the entire company knows how incredible the potential of this software is.

In his previous life, not long after the international version of Douyin was launched, it completely exploded in popularity worldwide.

This kind of explosion in popularity was not exaggerated self-promotion by some software, but a truly global explosion, becoming a phenomenal software.

In less than a year, the international version of Douyin directly topped the download charts in almost all countries worldwide.

The number of users also quickly exceeded two billion in a very short period, becoming the software with the highest number of users globally, without exception!

At its peak, Tik’s global daily active users exceeded one billion!

This isn’t just a user count, but a genuine daily active user count exceeding one billion!

In other words, across the globe, one billion people open the Tik application every day.

Such an achievement had never been accomplished by any software before.

Facebook, Bluebird, and other popular international software, even combined, had never reached a daily active user count of one billion, but the international version of Douyin did.

Even in Eagle Country, the international version of Douyin’s monthly active users reached 150 million.

This number even approached half of Eagle Country’s population.

In fact, after witnessing the terrifying power of the international version of Douyin, Eagle Country even proactively tried to ban it.

They would not allow a Yan Country software to be so popular in Eagle Country.

And these are the achievements that the international version of Douyin will obtain after its launch.

By then, Douyin’s market value will truly be able to reach the trillion level.

Of course, currently, only Wang Mo is aware of the prospects for the international version of Douyin.

After the domestic version of Douyin was perfected in all aspects, Wang Mo was also ready to launch the international version.

And after listening to Wang Mo, Zhang Fan and the other person nodded.

“The international version is already quite complete and can be launched at any time.”

“But when do you plan to list Douyin, Boss?”

Facing their words, Wang Mo pondered for a moment.

“There’s no need to rush for now.”

“Haisheng, you go and assemble a development team first to begin the preliminary development of the shopping software; I will personally oversee its completion later.”

“As for Zhang Fan, you first prepare all the materials for Douyin’s listing, but don’t rush to submit them.”

“The greater the influence when the company goes public, the higher the stock price and the total market value of the company will be. I’ll see if I can find a way to do something.”

“Okay.” The two nodded.

Subsequently, Wang Mo gave them more detailed instructions for their work.

After all, going public, the international version of Douyin, and the creation of Pinduoduo were all key projects for the company moving forward.

After the two left, Wang Mo slowly walked to the door, looking at the busy employee hall.

“After the shopping software is launched, the space on these two floors will seem a bit insufficient.”

“I think this building is quite good.”

… For a period of time thereafter, Douyin entered a stable development phase.

Douyin’s live streaming users continued to increase at an unstoppable pace. On the tenth day after Wang Mo decided to launch the shopping software, Douyin Live’s user and streamer numbers, as well as gift revenue, completely surpassed Douyu.

Douyin Live’s market share also reached 60%.

Douyu only had about 40% remaining.

At this time, only two months had passed since Douyin launched its live streaming function!

In two months, Douyin completely crushed the former live streaming leader. Such a situation, if mentioned two months ago, no one would have believed it.

But now, everyone has realized the power of Douyin Live.
