You Were Told to Design Software, But You Created Tiktok?!

13: Section 13Douyin’s daily active users finally exceeded one million on this day.

However, due to various questionable operations and chaotic video promotions, Wei Kan’s users had already dropped to seven million.

The gap between the two was now only seven times.

And on this day, three months after Douyin officially launched,

an uninvited guest arrived at Gentleman Software Company.

In the company’s reception room,

Wang Mo calmly watched the Penguin Group manager in front of him, his expression placid and silent.

”Boss, there’s nothing wrong with the contract; the other party hasn’t left any traps.”

Zhang Fan handed the contract to Wang Mo, but Wang Mo didn’t even look at it, placing it directly on the table in front of him.

Sitting opposite him was

Li Wenqiu, the person in charge of Wei Kan within the Penguin Group.

At this moment,

Li Wenqiu slowly spoke.

”Mr. Wang, how about it? The terms offered by our Penguin Group are generous, aren’t they?”

”Acquiring Douyin and your Big Data code for one billion in a single payment, this price is already quite exaggerated.”

”Don’t worry, we will treat your Big Data well.”

Listening to Li Wenqiu’s words, Wang Mo still did not speak.

Seeing this,

Li Wenqiu continued.

”You probably haven’t seen this much money in your life, have you?”

”Being acquired by us, Penguin, you can consider it an honor.”

”If Mr. Wang feels bored without work later, I can arrange a position for you under me.”

Upon hearing this,

Wang Mo finally spoke slowly.

”Acquire Douyin for one billion?”

”That’s right.” Li Wenqiu nodded.

Wang Mo continued.

”You want to acquire Douyin for one billion?”

”You’re dreaming.”

Chapter 14: Even with the same Big Data, there are differences.

Listening to Wang Mo’s words, Li Wenqiu’s expression instantly became much uglier.

And Wang Mo’s voice continued to ring out.

”For one billion, I can give you 0.01% of Douyin’s shares.”

”How about it? Can you accept these terms?”

Upon hearing this,

Li Wenqiu’s expression darkened even further.

He had not expected Wang Mo to not only so decisively reject Penguin’s acquisition but also to humiliate him with a 0.01% share.

He naturally would not believe that one day one billion would truly only be able to buy 0.01% of Douyin’s shares.

”Hmph.”

”I thought the boss of Douyin truly had vision, which is why he could discover the potential of short videos.”

”Now it seems,”

”he’s just a frog in a well.”

”I’m telling you now.”

”This acquisition price of one billion will be the upper limit for your Douyin; in the future, your Douyin’s market value will only get lower and lower, eventually leading to a low-price sale or even direct bankruptcy.”

Listening to Li Wenqiu’s words,

Wang Mo smiled, picked up the tea in front of him, and took a small sip.

The person opposite him probably couldn’t believe at this moment that one day Douyin’s market value could even approach Penguin’s.

”If I’m not mistaken,”

”Mr. Li, you didn’t really come to my company today for an acquisition, did you?”

Hearing this sentence,

Li Wenqiu’s expression suddenly changed; he had not expected Wang Mo to discover this point.

Wang Mo’s voice continued to ring out.

”Perhaps,”

”even if I agreed to the acquisition, you would use some reason to cause the acquisition to fail.”

”And your visit to our company today, I think you just came to mock and step on us.”

”You’re doing this because you think our Douyin won’t last much longer, so you want to vent some of the resentment from your previous failures.”

”And the reason you think our Douyin won’t last much longer should be...”

Wang Mo paused.

”...because your Wei Kan has already developed its own Big Data, right?”

Listening to these words, Li Wenqiu’s face gradually lost some of its composure.

He had not expected that most of his thoughts had been guessed by Wang Mo.

Just this morning, their Wei Kan’s Big Data had finally been successfully developed, and he couldn’t suppress his inner excitement, which was why he ran to Wang Mo’s place to mock him.

In his opinion,

as long as Wei Kan integrated Big Data, then Douyin would only be crushed by them.

After all, Wei Kan and Douyin were only missing Big Data; now that Wei Kan also had Big Data, Douyin simply couldn’t compete with Wei Kan.

And Wang Mo’s voice continued to ring out.

”However, I must remind Mr. Li.”

”Even if it’s the same Big Data, there are differences between different Big Data.”

”Don’t celebrate too early.”

”Show him out.”

Listening to Wang Mo’s voice, Li Wenqiu also snorted coldly.

”You!”

”Then you just wait.”

”Let’s see how stubborn you can be after all your Douyin users are completely lost.”

After speaking,

Li Wenqiu turned to leave the reception room.

However, at this moment, he suddenly received a call.

”I told you, don’t invest in his wolf warrior 2 movie; his previous movie’s box office wasn’t too high, so the second one definitely won’t be much higher.”

”What does it have to do with us if he sells his house to make a movie?”

After cursing a few times, Li Wenqiu hung up the phone and left the reception room.

And listening to the content of his words, Wang Mo thought of something.

”Based on the time, it is indeed around this time.”

”Many film and television works in this world also existed in my previous life; it’s just that some works haven’t started filming in this world yet.”

”If Penguin doesn’t invest, I can invest; the returns will at least be tenfold.”

Although Wang Mo’s main energy would be focused on the company now, for him, with his memories of his previous life,

the returns from investing in wolf warrior 2 were almost like picking up money for free, so he could naturally invest casually.

After muttering to himself, Wang Mo also prepared to go out.

However, Zhang Fan, who was behind him, stopped him.
