You Were Told to Design Software, But You Created Tiktok?!

19: Section 19As the secretary’s voice rang out, the meeting room instantly fell silent.

A two-million user gap was nothing at all.

Before the two programs aired, no one had expected that this program would become so popular, and that Douyin would actually be able to reach ten million users.

After a moment of silence.

The secretary’s voice once again echoed through the meeting room.

”And the most crucial point is...”

”Although Douyin’s daily active users increased tenfold to ten million, the average user time spent on Douyin did not decrease; it remained at around an hour and a half.”

As these words were spoken.

The atmosphere in the meeting room once again dropped to freezing point.

After a long while.

A department team leader finally spoke.

”It’s too exaggerated.”

”With a tenfold surge in users, the average daily usage time didn’t even decrease.”

”How did this Douyin, how did this Wang Mo, do it?”

”Could it be that his Douyin’s Big Data is really that powerful?”

No one answered the team leader’s question.

Because they also didn’t know the answer to that question.

Another team leader, however, stood up directly from his chair and slapped the table.

”I refuse to believe that Douyin is really that exaggerated.”

”I’ll go apply for additional investment from the Group again; I refuse to believe that we can’t crush Douyin with money.”

Listening to these words.

Li Wenqiu directly shook his head.

”There’s no way anymore.”

”Douyin’s rise is already unstoppable.”

”No matter what we do now, we can no longer stop Douyin’s rise.”

”Our two-million user lead over Douyin will probably be overtaken in just a few months.”

”We underestimated Douyin’s potential, and we also underestimated Wang Mo and his Big Data.”

”Let’s leave it at that.”

Li Wenqiu sighed deeply.

He knew very well that Weikan, from any direction, was already unable to compete with Douyin.

Listening to Li Wenqiu’s words, everyone fell silent again.

Seeing this.

Li Wenqiu spoke again to comfort everyone.

”However, you don’t need to sigh too much.”

”No matter how popular Douyin gets, it’s still just a short video software.”

”Douyin is not yet listed, but the industry’s valuation for it is already two billion, and I estimate Douyin’s market value ceiling should be around four billion.”

”Although this value is already very high, compared to our Penguin Group, it’s just a small toy.”

”Now Douyin’s content volume is saturated, and besides advertising, Douyin has no other way of making a profit, so its market value won’t increase much more.”

”Douyin can’t pull off any more tricks.”

Although they were unwilling to accept Weikan’s loss to Douyin.

Everyone also knew that Li Wenqiu was right.

No matter how popular Douyin got, it was still just a small company and small software.

And their Penguin Group was a behemoth in Yan Country with a market value exceeding one trillion.

How could a small company possibly shake the foundation of the Penguin Group?

In their opinion.

The user ceiling for short video software was probably around twenty to thirty million, and it simply couldn’t become a national software with over a hundred million users; Douyin was already unable to continue any form of content expansion.

At the same time.

Inside the Junzi Group.

”Bonus! Bonus!”

Cheers erupted one after another in the company hall.

Because Wang Mo had just announced that all employees’ bonuses would be directly quintupled this month!

This news directly made all employees ecstatic.

”I actually really trust the boss’s vision and thought that hip hop should be able to unleash the potential of an A-grade variety show, but I didn’t expect hip hop to explode like this.”

At the entrance of Wang Mo’s office, Zhang Fan said with a smile.

But Wang Mo shook his head.

”I remember who was so anxious after I sponsored hip hop.”

”Hehe.” Zhang Fan scratched his head, a little embarrassed.

But he continued.

”Now our Douyin users have exceeded ten million, and our monthly advertising revenue should be over one hundred million.”

”A few months ago, if you, boss, had said that the software we developed could earn one hundred million a month, I would never have believed it.”

Upon hearing this.

Wang Mo smiled.

”This is just the beginning.”

”Douyin’s potential has not yet been fully unleashed.”

Listening to these words, Zhang Fan was stunned.

”What other potential does Douyin have? Hasn’t it already reached its limit?”

”Later, at most, we’ll just attract Weikan’s users.”

Wang Mo shook his head.

”Douyin is not as simple as you see.”

”Now that Douyin users have exceeded ten million, I can finally let Douyin enter the next stage.”

”What is the next stage?” Zhang Fan was a little confused.

And Wang Mo took a deep breath.

”Live streaming!”

Chapter 21: Launching Live Streaming Function, Shocking Other Live Streaming Platforms!

”Live streaming?”

Listening to Wang Mo’s words, Zhang Fan was stunned.

”That’s right.”

Wang Mo nodded.

”Now Douyin’s user base is sufficient, so we can integrate the live streaming function.”

”Is it like the live streaming types on Haixian and Huya?”

”Yes.”

Wang Mo did not deny it.

”All Douyin users can start live streams on their own, without needing to sign any contracts, and can earn income from gifts.”

”Our biggest difference from Haixian Live and Douyu should be that we are a mobile-centric live streaming platform, while Douyu Live is PC-centric.”

”And we don’t need to spend money promoting different contracted streamers like Douyu does.”
