You Were Told to Design Software, But You Created Tiktok?!

14: Section 14Zhang Fan’s expression was somewhat worried.

”Boss, are we really not worried about Wei Kan’s Big Data?”

Wang Mo smiled.

”Wei Kan’s Big Data should be going online in the next two days; you’ll know then.”

”Our Douyin’s Big Data cannot be replicated by any group.”

Because he knew that the technological level of this world was much lower than his previous life, Wang Mo was not worried about the Big Data created by Wei Kan.

At most,

it would just be a clumsy imitation.

Seeing Wang Mo so confident, Zhang Fan did not continue to say anything and left the reception room.

And not long after Li Wenqiu left,

Wei Kan’s Big Data abruptly went online.

Wang Mo knew very well.

This was definitely Li Wenqiu moving up Wei Kan’s Big Data launch time after getting a cold shoulder from him.

Now,

both short video apps already had their own Big Data systems.

And after Wei Kan launched Big Data,

it once again began a frantic promotion.

From Wei Kan’s internal perspective, this time Wei Kan would no longer have any problems.

But just as Wang Mo had said,

different Big Data systems also had differences!

Chapter Fifteen: Wang Mo’s Technical Capability, Wei Kan’s Stagnant Data Growth.

After Wei Kan quietly launched its Big Data promotion,

Penguin Group began to accelerate its promotion of Wei Kan on various platforms.

Wei Kan, which had seen its daily active users drop to seven million due to manufacturers leaving and too many advertisements, barely returned to eight million daily active users after the new round of promotions.

Three days after Wei Kan integrated Big Data.

Penguin Group Wei Kan Department Hall.

Li Wenqiu and several other team leaders and managers were looking at the screen in front of them.

The information currently displayed on this large screen was various data from Wei Kan.

After integrating Big Data three days ago, Wei Kan’s user count and average online duration began to grow steadily.

Watching this scene,

Li Wenqiu and the others all had rather smug expressions.

”That Wang Mo even said Wei Kan’s Big Data couldn’t compare to Douyin, it’s truly laughable.”

”How could the top group of programmers in our Penguin Group department be inferior to him, the boss of a small software company?”

”You should know, the capabilities of our Penguin Group Software Department employees are top-notch globally.”

Looking at the continuously rising data, Li Wenqiu seemed quite happy.

He obviously also knew the information that Douyin’s Big Data was developed by Wang Mo alone.

And the several team leaders behind him also kept nodding in satisfaction.

”Moreover, our Penguin Group’s software promotion capability is not something a small Douyin can compare to.”

”A Q-coin reward event linked to our chat software can add millions of users to us overnight; I really don’t know how Douyin plans to compete with us.”

”The average daily active duration has already exceeded half an hour.”

”I imagine it won’t be long before our Wei Kan’s average user online time surpasses Douyin.”

Looking at the data on the screen, everyone’s expressions were very excited.

Li Wenqiu even began to fantasize about how low a price he would offer to acquire Douyin once it couldn’t hold on anymore.

But just then,

with a fluctuation in the data on the screen,

everyone’s expressions suddenly froze.

Because just now,

Wei Kan’s daily active duration, which had just exceeded half an hour, suddenly dropped slightly.

”This, what’s going on?”

”How is it that after only three days, the daily active duration has dropped?” Li Wenqiu asked, puzzled.

”It should just be some minor factors, Mr. Li, look, the daily active duration has gone back up.”

Seeing this,

Li Wenqiu nodded and did not question it; it should indeed have just been a small fluctuation.

But what no one expected was that

Wei Kan’s daily active duration seemed to be stuck at half an hour, occasionally fluctuating, but always hovering around the half-hour mark.

Everyone was familiar with this kind of fluctuating curve.

This only represented one piece of information:

that Wei Kan users’ daily active duration had reached its limit!

If Wei Kan didn’t have any updates or events in a short period, then this duration would almost certainly not increase again.

Almost all software and games have such a potential upper limit for daily active duration.

The better the software’s potential, the harder it is to reach this limit.

Originally, after Wei Kan integrated short videos, everyone thought Wei Kan’s potential could rival Douyin.

But no one expected that

after only half an hour, Wei Kan’s daily active duration had already stopped increasing.

”This, this shouldn’t be happening.”

”Could it be that Douyin bought negative trending topics for Wei Kan, or spread negative news about Wei Kan somewhere?”

As soon as Li Wenqiu finished speaking, another team leader beside him opened his phone to check.

After a moment, he shook his head at Li Wenqiu and said,

”There’s no negative news about Wei Kan appearing online.”

Hearing this,

everyone present fell silent.

This meant that Wei Kan’s potential had indeed reached its limit.

”Why is it that even with the support of Big Data, Wei Kan’s average user duration is still only half an hour, only a little more than ten minutes longer than before?”

Li Wenqiu looked at the secretary beside him.

”What are Douyin’s daily active users and average user duration?”

The secretary’s expression was also somewhat unpleasant; she replied,

”During this period, Douyin has been developing steadily.”

”Now Douyin’s daily active users have exceeded one million.”

”And...”

The secretary took a deep breath.

”Douyin’s daily active usage duration has reached one and a half hours.”

Bang.

As soon as she finished speaking,

Li Wenqiu directly slammed his fist on the table in front of him, his face extremely grim.

As the manager of the Penguin Group Software Department, he clearly understood what that time meant.

Even Penguin Video’s daily active duration wasn’t that long.

Currently, in the country,
