You Were Told to Design Software, But You Created Tiktok?!

3: Section 3It made it more like the Douyin from his previous life.

Compared to the Douyin of his previous life, this current Douyin was almost indistinguishable.

Next up was the official launch.

“It’s almost ready; the bugs affecting usage have basically been fixed, and there are no other issues,” Zhang Fan said.

At this moment, in the office, Wang Mo and the other four were all looking at the software’s backend.

Now, only the final step remained.

And with a tap of Wang Mo’s finger, Douyin was officially released in the app stores of various mobile phones.

However, most of the content in Douyin currently consisted of humorous videos already available online, beautiful movie clips, and various short videos collected from other sources.

But even so, this content was already sufficient for the current Douyin.

“Next, we need to find high-quality content creators to join and promote Douyin,” Wang Mo murmured, looking at Douyin downloading from the app store on his phone.

He was extremely clear about the path Douyin took to rise in his previous life, so he naturally knew what his next step should be.

Listing it on the app store was just the first step.

As Douyin officially launched, Zhang Fan and the other two couldn’t help but let out long sighs.

At this moment, the dark circles under their eyes were extremely deep.

However, Zhao Ming, seeing the software successfully launched, suddenly thought of something and spoke up.

“I suddenly thought of a very critical issue.”

Everyone looked at him.

“If our short video software, which has never been seen on the market before, truly shows immense potential, then companies like Penguin will definitely not let go of this piece of cake.”

“With Penguin Company’s manpower and financial resources, they can quickly create a competing product. How will we compete with them then?”

Listening to Zhao Ming’s words, Zhang Fan and the others also realized the seriousness of this issue.

After all, Penguin Company started by copying, and there were countless predecessors who were drowned by their ‘later waves’.

A casual dig under Penguin Company’s territory would reveal a software that died from being copied.

If Penguin truly set its sights on their Douyin, it seemed they really had no way to counter it.

But facing the concerns of the three, Wang Mo just smiled.

“Don’t worry.”

“Even if Penguin Company creates a competing product, it will absolutely not be able to compete with our Douyin.”

“I am confident about this.”

Wang Mo was very confident; without Big Data for promotion, even if Penguin created other short video software, it would absolutely not be able to compete with Douyin.

Seeing Wang Mo so confident, the other three didn’t say much.

After all, they had been working overtime for several days and just wanted to rest. Wang Mo also let them go back, staying behind himself for maintenance.

Meanwhile, in a university dorm in Modu.

A university student, just finished with class and feeling bored, was lying on his bed idly scrolling through his phone.

As he scrolled through the app store, looking for fun software, a newly launched app caught his attention.

“The world’s first short video software.”

“What is a short video?”

As he spoke, he placed his finger on the download button.

A few minutes later, bursts of laughter, “Hahahaha, tsk tsk,” emanated from the bed.

His occasional bursts of laughter caused the bed to shake.

“Third Brother, what are you laughing at by yourself on the bed? You’re not doing ‘that’ again, are you? Be careful with your body.”

“What are you talking about? I found a really fun app, I’ll share it with you right now.”

Similar scenes began to appear continuously after Douyin was uploaded.

At this moment, Wang Mo in the office was not paying attention to the constantly increasing download numbers on Douyin’s backend on the screen.

He was contemplating how to proceed with the next step.

He remembered very clearly that in his previous life, Douyin first made a name for itself online through various videos of beautiful women dancing and cool transformation videos.

These videos were accompanied by extremely rhythmic background music.

The magical allure of the two combined was extremely exaggerated.

To achieve this, more creators absolutely needed to join.

Thinking of this, Wang Mo took out his phone and dialed a number.

The call was quickly connected, and a pleasant female voice came from the other end.

“Hello, Senior, what made you think of calling me?”

“Are you at school? Do me a favor.”

Chapter 4: Finding Creators, First Time on Hot Search!

Two days later, in a tiered classroom at a university in Modu, two figures were speaking on the podium.

Behind them, a projector displayed an introduction to Douyin.

Most of the students sitting in the room were dance and art students from the school, and they all had good looks.

However, this group of people was still slightly inferior compared to the two figures on the podium.

These two were Wang Mo, who came to find creators, and Ye Youxue, who was helping him.

Ye Youxue was one year younger than Wang Mo and was currently the campus belle. Dressed in a white dress, her features were extremely delicate.

Their relationship had been very good even before Wang Mo graduated.

“Everyone can apply to be a high-quality creator in the software’s backend and then upload videos. I have just taught everyone how to shoot basic transformation and dance videos.”

“After your creator application is approved, within one month, for every video with over fifty thousand likes, we can provide a cash subsidy of fifty yuan.”

“Afterward, for every additional fifty thousand likes, an additional fifty yuan will be added.”

Wang Mo’s voice continued to resonate from the podium.

“Your Senior Sister Ye’s video, filmed two days ago, has already reached fifty-two thousand likes, which shows that this condition is actually not difficult to achieve.”

“Although our software currently doesn’t have many users, Ye Youxue’s video already has the most likes on Douyin, but I believe that as users increase, reaching fifty thousand likes will become easier and easier.”

As Wang Mo’s voice continued to ring out, many of the fangirls below kept looking at him with starry eyes.

The original owner had been the campus heartthrob and a popular figure before graduation.

Although a year had passed since his graduation, when these people learned that Wang Mo had returned to school for entrepreneurship, it attracted countless gazes.

At this point, Wang Mo took a deep breath, his expression becoming much more serious.

He scanned the crowd below.

Finally, he spoke very earnestly, “Although I know that many of you might only see this software as a tool to earn a month’s living expenses.”
