Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 149: Chapter 149 Only then did Kano continue her journey

Only then did Kano continue her journey. Anyway, the task wouldn’t come out until tomorrow; saving people was the priority today.

In her memory, Choji and Neji were the ones who would be seriously injured, so she had to focus on looking after those two.

Kano followed them the whole way. Since she had the Virtual Idol Skin, she didn’t have to worry about being recognized.

Kano had actually brought a very large bag filled with food and water. She had another task after saving the people: to pay a visit to Orochimaru.

As expected, the team left Choji behind. Kano also stopped, waiting for his battle to end.

Kano even started a fire and began cooking nearby.

Choji would lose a lot of weight after the big battle, so she wanted to make him plenty of food.

Kano left more than half of the food she brought for Choji.

Part of it was prepared as a hot meal, and part of it was portable rations.

The meal was almost ready when Choji finished off Jirobo using his pills. Choji was completely burnt out and had become extremely slim, with not a single bit of fat visible on his body.

Kano brought the hot food to Choji.

”Who are you?”

Choji looked warily at the strange girl before him, though unfortunately, he was currently powerless to resist.

”Eat something first. I’ll help heal your injuries. It might hurt a little, so bear with it.”

Kano activated the Mystical Palm Technique. She could now control the speed of the healing; as long as she slowed it down, that lethal pain wouldn’t occur.

”Thank you. May I ask who you are? Why are you saving me?”

”That’s not important. You don’t need to know who I am. You just need to know I’m not an enemy.”

The injuries on Choji’s body gradually recovered, and he was now out of life-threatening danger. It seemed that as long as the rescue was timely, Choji wouldn’t necessarily need to be hospitalized for emergency treatment.

”Your injuries are mostly healed, but you still can’t move. I’ll leave this food and water for you. Once you’ve recovered, go back to Konoha Village. Or you can wait for rescue. Others have already gone to support your companions.”

The injuries on Choji’s body weren’t entirely healed; there were still some internal injuries that required slow recuperation.

The famished Choji began devouring the food, instantly clearing out the hot meal Kano had prepared, and then turned his gaze toward the remaining rations.

”Eat slowly. The food I brought isn’t enough for you to waste like this. I’m leaving now; rest here peacefully.”

Kano walked up to Jirobo and extracted his shadow. Using his Earth Release, she created an earth hut for Choji to rest in.

Next, Kano headed to the next battlefield.

Kano followed the markers left by Shikamaru, sprinting along while sitting on Shadow Deer Tube’s shoulder. With Kano’s running speed in high heels, she couldn’t keep up, so she had to rely on the physically explosive Shadow Deer Tube.

Fortunately, Shadow Deer Tube’s shoulders were quite broad. If it were a small build like Shadow Haku, Kano wouldn’t have been able to sit on him.

Neji’s battle with Kidōmaru didn’t have a small movement range like Choji’s; it took a long time just to find Neji.

When she found him, the fight was already over. He was lying on the ground, seriously injured. Kano rushed over, first conveniently finishing off the not-quite-dead Kidōmaru, then helping Neji to the side to begin healing him.

”It’ll be a bit painful, bear with it.”

Because Neji’s injuries were quite severe, Kano didn’t dare hold back. She applied the Mystical Palm Technique with full force, making Neji grit his teeth, grimace, and flail about in pain.

It was also lucky that he had experienced this ridiculous Mystical Palm Technique before; otherwise, he might have thought an assassin had come to finish him off. However, Kano also whistled, using a lullaby to soothe the pain.

Only after he was out of life-threatening danger did Kano slow down the intensity of the Mystical Palm Technique.

”Miss, thank you very much for your help. However, if this situation happens again, please don’t trouble yourself for my sake.”

Having finally recovered from the extreme agony, Neji now had only one thought in his mind.

Great rescue, please don’t do it again.
