Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 114: Chapter 114 Looking at Naruto’s silly appearance

Looking at Naruto’s silly appearance, Tsunade was reminded of her younger brother; they were so similar. She took off her necklace and placed it in Kano’s hand.

”As compensation for attacking you earlier, I’m giving you this necklace. It’s not particularly precious; you can give it to someone else if you want.”

After saying that, she glanced at Naruto.

”Aren’t you afraid I’ll just pocket it?”

”If you do that, I have no objections.”

”That’s fine then.”

Kano then proceeded to stuff the necklace into her pocket.

”Hey, why aren’t you following the script?”

”You said you had no objections.”

”Then let me tell you now, whoever wears this necklace dies. If you’re not afraid of death, keep it.”

”Then this is good stuff. If I ever have a grudge against someone in the future, I’ll give them this necklace, and then they’ll just die unexpectedly.”

”Give the necklace back to me, I’m not giving it away anymore.”

”No way, once it’s in my hands, don’t even think about getting it back.”

”Hahaha, you... fine, I won’t argue with a child. You better watch over that idiot; don’t let him lose his life in a moment of impulse.”

”Don’t worry, his life is very resilient. At least until he becomes Hokage, he won’t die even if I do.”

While Tsunade and Kano were chatting about girl topics, Jiraiya and Naruto were also chatting about guy topics.

”I didn’t expect you to actually learn it within a week. Impressive.”

”Don’t change the subject! You guys snuck out to play without calling me, didn’t you! Tell me, what did you all play?”

”We didn’t play anything...”

Jiraiya couldn’t very well say that the three of them combined couldn’t beat Kano.

”Liar!”

”Naruto, let me ask you a question. If your comrade did something that betrayed Konoha, what would you do?”

”Don’t change the subject.”

”What if Kano betrayed Konoha, what would you do?”

As soon as Kano was mentioned, the topic was instantly diverted.

”How could Kano-chan possibly betray Konoha?”

” I said ’what if’. What if she betrayed Konoha and wanted to destroy it, what would you do?”

Naruto pondered for a while and answered seriously.

”If Kano-chan did that, there must be a reason... I would probably go and help her.”

”You trust her that much?”

”Because you have to trust your comrades and protect them.”

”What if it were Sasuke who wanted to destroy Konoha?”

”I would go and stop him.”

”Why don’t you trust him then? Double standards!”

”It’s not that. That idiot Sasuke doesn’t think or consider the consequences before he acts. He’s too impulsive; I’d have to make him calm down.”

”Then why wouldn’t you stop Kano?”

”Kano is so smart and gentle. We often don’t understand many of the things she does, but she would never harm us. As long as we trust her, there will be a better future.”

”Hahaha, I hope you can protect your comrades well and not let them stray onto the wrong path.”

Shizune, who was next to Tsunade holding the little pink pig Tonton, seemed isolated and couldn’t get a word in at all.

The group rested for a day and soon returned to the Village; no special events occurred along the way. Kano still sat on the Shadow Deer, letting her white-silk-clad jade feet dangle in the air. Beautiful singing accompanied them the whole way.

A new day arrived, and the missions refreshed.

[Long time no see, did you miss me? (?＞?＜?) I originally thought this mission would take you three to five years, but I didn’t expect it to be completed so quickly ???(•????＿•????)??? OMG!! Seeing the news that you completed the mission, I rushed back overnight to work. I’ve only finished half of the maternity leave I requested ╮( •?ω•? )╭]

”What? You’re pregnant?”

[No, can’t I just request this leave whenever? ╮( •?ω•? )╭]

”What? Don’t you need a lot of proof to apply for that? How could it be so easy to get approved?”

[I don’t know (•????＿•)? It was the Strongest Fake Certificate Senior who handled it for me. He even gave me a fake certificate reward. Do you need it? If you do, I’ll put it in today’s mission ⊙ω⊙]

”What use do I have for a fake certificate? Just give me some rewards. I’m planning to grind some popularity points to exchange for a Forbidden Jutsu.”

[Alright then, publishing a new mission: ’Fluffy skirts adorned with starlight, fingertips gliding across the strings, playing the boiling passion of a young girl! No perfect technique required, only boiling passion! Here is the collision of guitars and dreams, the symphony of song and courage. Together with other girls, sing your youth into its brightest form.’ Mission Reward: Idol Cool Glasses (Effect increases with the number of Girls Band members)]
