Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 132: Chapter 132 It wasn’t that Kano hadn’t woken up

It wasn’t that Kano hadn’t woken up; she was just held back by someone. Although, while packing her luggage, she did spend a lot of time because she had brought so much.

In particular, one sock couldn’t be found. It might have been lost in the rush when she changed three outfits during her performance. It was just one sock, so she stopped looking for it.

After stepping out, she was blocked at the door by many people.

”konoha songstress, how about considering a visit to our Land of Wind? The treatment will definitely be much better than what you get in the Land of Fire!”

Although he had been mocked many times, both openly and secretly during this trip, he felt that hearing the konoha songstress sing was absolutely worth it.

The Land of Lightning Daimyo was not to be outdone and also wanted to compete for Kano.

”konoha songstress, come develop your career in our Land of Lightning. No matter how much the Land of Fire offers you, we in the Land of Lightning will unconditionally offer triple!”

”No thank you, I’m not short of money, and I’m doing quite well in Konoha Village.”

Having failed to recruit anyone, the Land of Wind Daimyo turned around and began scolding the three Sand Siblings.

”Look at her, then look at yourselves! With all the funding I give you, why can’t you produce Ninjas like this?”

The Land of Lightning Daimyo sent people to learn, and Killer Bee volunteered, saying he would go to Konoha Village with Kano to study. This saved Kano from having to use any trickery.

The Daimyo of the Land of Earth didn’t come, so the ministers couldn’t make decisions alone, but Kurotsuchi still excitedly asked Kano for an autograph.

Kano took the chance to look; the heart above Kurotsuchi’s head was very red, clearly showing she was a little fangirl.

As for the Land of Water, they couldn’t compare with the other two countries at all; they hadn’t even resolved their internal troubles.

However, Mei Terumī still wanted to try.

”Kano, would you consider coming to the Hidden Mist Village for a visit? We will provide compensation. If you don’t want money, we can offer Land of Water specialties or Ninjutsu scrolls.”

She knew it was practically impossible to recruit Kano, but she wanted to invite Kano to hold a concert in the Hidden Mist Village. She wanted to use Kano’s infectious singing to help the Hidden Mist Village revitalize itself. After all, the Hidden Mist Village had been deeply scarred by the Blood Mist policy.

Kano stared at Mei Terumī, the future Fifth Mizukage, and her eyes darted around.

”I could agree to this condition, but rather than material things, I’d like to help my teacher find a spouse.”

”Marriage recruitment?”

”That’s right. My teacher is a good man, almost 27 years old. He’s so old and still doesn’t have a girlfriend. As his student, I’m worried sick.”

Mei Terumī couldn’t help but want to complain: are you a student or his mother? And isn’t that the same age as her? She felt like she was being targeted as well and suddenly felt this little girl was a bit annoying.

”Doesn’t he have a woman he likes?”

”No, he’s not the proactive type, so I want to help him find a good woman who is a bit more proactive.”

Mei Terumī also sighed inwardly; wasn’t she the same? She also wanted to find a man to marry, but no one pursued her, and she didn’t proactively pursue others either.

”So you want me to help introduce a girlfriend to him?”

She didn’t expect that before she even fell in love or got married, she would have to take on such a matchmaker task.

”Actually, I think you’re quite good, Big Sister. You’re beautiful and kind, a perfect match for my teacher. So, could I trouble you to try getting along with my teacher? Consider it a favor to me.

My teacher is very handsome, reliable, and strong. It wouldn’t hurt for you to try spending a few days with him, Big Sister. Even if you don’t like him in the end, it’s fine.

As long as you agree to this condition, I will perform a concert in the Hidden Mist Village for free, and I’ll even cover all the expenses myself. How about it?”

This ”all-gain, no-loss” condition really tempted Mei Terumī. Not only would it help the Hidden Mist Village for free, but it also offered her a free blind date.

She liked this little girl more and more now!

However, though she was happy inside, she couldn’t say so out loud, or she might be easily manipulated.

”Then for the sake of the Hidden Mist Village, I’ll reluctantly get to know your teacher. But not right now; I have a mission. In some time, I will visit Konoha. I hope you, the konoha songstress, will keep your promise.”

”Mhm, no problem! The person I introduce is guaranteed to be excellent!”

”Mhm... wait, I meant the part about holding a concert in the Hidden Mist Village.”

”No problem. When the time comes, you’ll be a guest in Konoha, and when you head back, I’ll return to the Hidden Mist Village with you. After all, I’m just a singer and my strength is very weak. Since you’re a Daimyo’s guard, Big Sister, you must be very strong. With you protecting me on the way to the Hidden Mist Village, I’ll feel at ease.”

As for Kano pretending to be weak, the Sand Siblings nearby sneered. They had been beaten the first time they went to Konoha, and now they saw Kano pretending to be weak after finishing her performance.

”Alright, then it’s a deal. Bye-bye, Little Sister Kano.”

Mei Terumī was very happy. For people like them who wouldn’t proactively look for a partner, an arranged marriage was actually quite good.
