Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 120: Chapter 120: Neji was very dissatisfied with Kano’s contempt

Neji was very dissatisfied with Kano’s contempt; he didn’t think a deer could beat him to death. Even if he couldn’t win, he shouldn’t be unable to defend himself.

His Rotation was an absolute defense that could block any kind of attack.

In fact, no matter which one Neji chose, he wouldn’t win. Zabuza’s Silent Killing Technique might not be as effective, but he could still win in a direct confrontation.

Not to mention the Sandaime; even ten more Nejis wouldn’t be able to beat him.

Orochimaru was the most ridiculous one. Since shadows have no soul, the shadow Kano extracted was the complete Orochimaru, the one who could use Edo Tensei.

That wasn’t even the craziest part. The craziest part was that Orochimaru’s body was dead, but he himself wasn’t dead, leading to a bug where the shadow was extracted while the shadow’s owner was still alive.

This meant that in the future, if Orochimaru became stronger and learned some powerful Ninjutsu, Kano’s side would update synchronously; however, if he suffered any injuries or lost any abilities, Kano’s side would not sync.

Talk about having your cake and eating it too.

It’s a good thing Neji didn’t choose Shadow Orochimaru. If he had, Kano probably wouldn’t have been able to stop in time, and it would be bad if she accidentally killed Neji.

As for Shadow Deer Tube, Kano had raised it bit by bit, so she knew its background perfectly. Its skill list was also quite clean, consisting of standard Five Elements Ninjutsu without any Bloodline Limit. Its strength lay entirely in the physical stats accumulated from a pile of shadows.

Neji waited for the attack, setting up the Eight Trigrams Formation and waiting for Shadow Deer Tube to rush over. Shadow Deer Tube did as expected. Neji, who intended to defend with Rotation, felt like he had hit a steel wall, and his hands throbbed with pain from the vibration.

Immediately followed by a heavy and powerful front kick.

Having been stiffened by the counter-vibration, Neji had no time to dodge and could only cross his arms to block.

”Holy crap!” ”Holy crap!” ”Holy crap!” ”Holy crap!” ”Holy crap!”

Then he flew out, breaking several trees, and collapsed on the ground at death’s door, with a large hoof print on his chest.

A familiar scene, it seemed to have played out at Kano’s house before.

After all, Shadow Deer Tube had Kage-level strength. You dared to block such an attack?

”Neji!”

Tenten reacted instantly and went to save Neji. She hadn’t expected Neji to be unable to withstand even a single blow like that.

The other girls also ran over, while Kano, the culprit, wasn’t that nervous.

”Kano, go easy on him. Neji is so badly injured that even if he wanted to participate in the mission, he can’t; he has to go to the hospital first. I might not be able to participate either; I have to take care of Neji.”

Tenten’s words blamed Kano. Tenten liked Neji, although she usually hid it so well that no one could tell. Even though Neji was the one who challenged Kano first, she shouldn’t have hit him so hard.

With that, she was about to carry Neji to the Konoha Hospital.

But Kano stopped her.

”There’s no need to go to the hospital for such a small injury. I can treat it. I’m Lady Tsunade’s disciple now. I can save someone from a mere fatal injury with just a wave of my hand!”

Kano showed the brilliance of the Mystical Palm Technique in her hand, green light gathering in her palm.

”Tenten, no need to go to the hospital. Let Kano treat me. I admit defeat and will follow your arrangements.”

Neji was unwilling to go to the hospital; otherwise, the fact that he was insta-killed by Kano would definitely not be hidden. It was too embarrassing.
